Amazing trip down memory lane. Not even my memories but I felt as though I was there with you. Made me think of a lot of things from my own past as well. Thank you 👍😊

Everyone from Liverpool knows Willy. Or rather, we know of his fame and what he has done.
However, I didn't realise that he is such a nice fella.
What I really like, more than anything else, is that hasn't tried to claim that he had a horrendous background. He never claimed to have been some hard man. And he has been totally authentic.
    Great film.

This was great to watch, as you see willy in his formative years you can recognize some of his influences ... above all, you get the flavor of him!

    Hello Willy...
I’ve just come across the video “All around Knowsley” It was an absolute joy!
I was born and grew up on the edge of Lord Derby’s Estate. We lived at the top of Canrow Lane - you made me laugh when you said it was a lovers lane, indeed it was we even had Ken Dodd visit the area and he had to be towed out of the woodland by a tractor from the local farm!
My mum n dad had a milk round on the bungalow estate when we were children, before expanding the business into serving the people of Southdene Kirkby.
You have brought to the fore so many memories for me. I remember the Chippy at the Admin gate, your mums shop and Curtis and Bell the stationers - all those shops have gone now I understand?
I do hope you get chance to read the comments left by people... I for one was transfixed by the tour of the local area.... it was amazing - thank you !

I lived in knowsley when i was a kid, fincham rd page moss in the 70s, i liked it there, i moved to knotty ash loved it there, my family moved to butleigh rd huyton off hillside avenue, hated there it was horrible in the early late 70's early 80's. Depressive oppressive estate, st columbas school on knowsley lane was vile, the bullying was rife seen some horrific things by the kids there the teachers looked the other way, that school should of been shut down.

What an absolute gem. I wait for the day someone adapts another one of his stories, to same (or better) production value of Educating Rita. I love him so much 😍🙌❤️
