I had a mis-label from SGC recently. I contacted them, they sent a return label and the problem was fixed within 10 days . That’s customer service. I’m a huge SGC fan.
I trust their grading. I actually prefer to buy my PC Cards in an SGC 10 over a psa 10 because of the value. I don’t think it’s a terrible idea to buy SGC 10 over a psa 10 for investment purposes either. I feel like there is more room for the card to grow as the respect for SGC within the hobby and with investors continues to grow.
As a collector (and not a flipper/ investor only), SGC is my favorite grading company right now. They grade tougher and I can pick them up cheaper than PSA for the same card. No real reason based on the grading method or card quality why the cards are worth less than PSA. I'll always buy the card I want and not the slab, so give me SGC any day.
The fact that SGC is transparent and forthcoming with information is big for me. Then add that to a really good product and you have a winner in my book.
love the term "transparent "which PSA in my opinion is not. They've sent 3 of my vintage cards back as altered, with no designation as to how they think it was altered, and still charged me $164.00 a card, and when i called in for a explanation was basically told it all depends on how the grader feels that day, and yes, we charge regardless of if the card gets a grade or not. Now i use SGC which i am currently waiting on an 8 card vintage order. Moses Malone,DR.J,Terry Bradshaw, Walter Payton etc.
First time viewer, now new subscriber. Thank you for this. Its refreshing to watch a card podcast with facts, data, and with a host willing to change his views. I have come full circle on SGC too recently, and now sub with them regularly. As a vintage guy, I couldn't be happier with the slabs and the grades are fair and consistent. Looking forward to keeping up with your channel.
Actually, I think current data shows SGC is a clear #2 having easily surpassed BGS in terms of cards slabbed and cards sold. I use them for vintage cards - very accurate & fair grades, most vintage look amazing in SGC tux, and hey the price/turnaround combo is something that nobody can touch at this time.
As far as value added to a card per grade sgc is probably 4th unless it's a gold 10. But considering every factor I think you can make a strong argument that sgc is the number one grading company.
I love the video Scottie I just started submitting cards to SGC from advice from a guy that submits to PSA and he said SGC is caching up price wise to PSA and they're turnaround time is excellent. They're customer service is exceptional I had 2 orders down there at one time Brent is making sure they come back all in 1 box instead of 2 boxes since the 2nd submission was unexpected in matter of a couple days from the other. Matt was the one who called cause issues with payment thru PayPal and paid over the phone and Matt took the time to let me know he looked at one of the cards and he said it looked great. They look at the autos when send for card grading for no extra service. Which is great. My experience is I would prefer them ove PSA and wouldn't be surprised if they catch up to pricing to PSA since they were $300 behind a year ago and now it's $10-$60 behind but they grade tough and hope they continue to get all the support and go in the right direction they've been going in over the past year.
This is a great video. I’ve done only SGC since i got back into cards 2 yrs ago because I thought the monopoly PSA had on the grading circuit was absurd and you should never wait 6 months (or 18 months for that matter) for a slabbed card. SGC slabs to me look VERY clean and their customer service is superb. I even got a voucher for a future card grad because 1 card I had sent in was too thin to slab so it got a no grade. They were returning emails at 10pm Pacific time on a Monday. They will have my business for the foreseeable future. GO SGC!
To the prewar collector SGC has always been the trusted grader. Vintage and prewar collectors tend to be experienced. It’s the newbies over the last 3 years that are PSA sheep as they are amateurs. The numbers of modern going to SGC will reverse when PSAs prices come down…. Because the inexperienced are mesmerized by PSA
thats kind of the whole point, to get psa prices down out of the stratosphere and have more parity across the graders. i hate that a lot of people seem to think if its not psa its not worth owning. a card should be a 10 whether it has your label on it, or my label on it, or bugs bunnies label on it. and the sale price should reflect the condition, not the grader.
I just submitted a small submission to them. They received my package yesterday and graded it the same day. Today it’s shipped and on its way back to me. I also had to contact customer service before I shipped my cards out because I made a mistake..they replied very quickly and fixed the issue. Great first impression!
Good on you man! It's great to see someone change their opinions with new information over time. I think grading completely depends on the card, collector, purpose for grading and budget. Great video dude!👍
From a vintage standpoint I have always leaned heavily to SGC based solely on consistency. BVG is a joke and PSA standards are all over the map. People would do well to take hard looks at the cards in SGC slabs, chances are they look better than comparable grades from the other two. You did hit a major point, they communicate and are transparent. I can forgive alot, just communicate with your customers - looking at you PSA. SGC has done that well and is why I use them exclusively now and have for the last few years.
SGC has been my go-to ever since PSA/BGS created a mess of a backlog for themselves. HGA, although their slabs are cool, are also facing issues of their own with orders taking in upwards of 4+ months to ship. Way too long to wait from a company that’s competing in a very competitive market. Great content btw. Keep up the great work. 👍🏼
I really like SGC. Price is good, great compared to PSA. And I love the black framing look. I’m in Canada so it might be different price wise. The shop I deal with does PSA for $125 Canadian a card (basic, not express), and SGC is $50 Canadian a card. PSA can suck it. 😂
@@bhfromnh3914 the psa red matches all the psa I have collected ...all you new people to the hobby will learn ....psa does 10x more business than any other grader for a reaaon
@@mikecavey3892 that’s because PSA is one of the first grading companies🤦🏽♂️ they hand out 10s like candy. The amount of very OC cards I’ve seen get a PSA 10 is ridiculous. I will never use PSA. SGC is a morally correct company and has delivered on what feels like every promise they’ve made.
Nice video Scottie. I actually did my first SGC through a group submitter last week. There grading scale you talked about may be the best out there. Hopefully everything goes well
Great video! SGC is at 2 in my eyes. Seems like they figured out the backlogs and I see their comps rising in near future overtaking BGS consistently. Getting a sub together this week for them. As of now, I only use SGC and HGA. Would only use PSA if I ever pulled the once in a lifetime pull. Thanks for sharing! God Bless!!
I don’t think BGS could have done a worse job post boom it’s insane how badly they dropped the ball and how they couldn’t care less. SGC does have a legit shot at being as good or better good video Scottie
I have a 140 card bgs order that's now been Over 16 months and counting with no end in sight! When I sent the order it was a 40- 60 day turnaround! Will NEVER sub to them again!
PSA has held 10 of my cards hostage for the last 10 + months. I sent SGC 2 cards 3 weeks ago and I already have them listed on Ebay. SGC is no joke. Big fan!
I always preferred SGC for my vintage. The black back just looks classy & they seem to be pulling back into lead of the top 3 again of BGS, PSA & SGC. Pretty interesting indeed .
Great video, I just sent out my first submission to SGC today. 7 cards, fingers crossed I get a good grade on the 1955 Topps Four Horseman, and my 2013 Prizm Silver Brady's. I'll update you when I get them back. Thank you for this information!!!!
Great video. Enjoyed how you compared the polls so you had some actual data instead of just our perception. For me, SGC is the second best grading company right now. BGS slabs do command more money but if I am actually submitting cards for gradign then they are not even a consideration currently.
I’ve used SGC over the last two years. I’m in Florida and so are they and I’m getting cards back in less than two weeks with 30 day commitments- that’s service! Really like your videos. The market seems to discount the SGC grades by 25% in my experience but if you hold a card more long term and the player doesn’t do anything stupid the difference between PSA and SGC will probably narrow. Meanwhile they look great on my display shelves 😅
SGC has FINALLY given me a grading company that I enjoy using. Better TAT, better customer service, lower cost, and better feeling slabs than PSA or BGS imo. Oh and now you automatically get to see HD pictures of each card when you put in the cert #, excellent security feature.
All that is true only downside is they don't sell for shit. I've been hoping sgc would gain ground on psa but they just haven't so it makes it tough to send to much stuff to them. I know it isn't all about money but even at 30 bucks a card unless your getting 9.5 and 10 you can forget about making any money off sgc
@@PIP-zf9yb I think that will change (hopefully) with a little more time. Once you are the leader in so many areas, the value will build. I live in Dallas and go to every Dallas Card Show, the amount of SGC slabs grows by 20% at every show it seems, just a matter of time before the value catches up to PSA I think.
@@AustinSamuelF the value of them isn't growing however and the numbers back that up. Psa is so far ahead of everyone else it's just a battle for 2nd. Hopefully psa comes out with a cheaper option so sgc is forced to stop ripping people off with there current prices
@@PIP-zf9yb Well I really hope that changes and we see values grow for modern cards slabbed as SGC. You think $30 for a 20 day turn-around is ripping people off? They are charging similar prices to all these new grading companies (HGA, RCG, etc) so I never considered $30 all that much money for such fast TAT.
@@AustinSamuelF I guess rip off is wrong word. It's not a viable option at that price to grade with them. Very small window of cards worth submitting at that price. They are not very busy right now for that reason. People are crunching the numbers and realizing they will be losing money unless they get 9.5s which is tough. Csg is the best option for low end cards at 12 bucks you can't go wrong even with them reselling low . Sgc will eventually be forced to lower there prices once psa comes out with bulk pricing towards 2/3 quarter. I like sgc but I'm not going to light ROI on fire I'm just holding my cards until rates make it worth while
SGC is every bit as strict and thorough in its grading as PSA and Beckett. Moreover, SGC's turn-around times are absolutely stunning! A few mos ago I sent in a dozen cards to get graded on their regular time scale -- they basically said I'd get them back in 30 to 40 days, well, I got them back in 10 days! Could not believe it.
Agreed! I love that SGC grades are strict. Flippers are probably not fans. Bottom line: SGC is the most TRANSPARENT grading company by far and is currently delivering on EXACTLY what they advertise. I'll take that. Like many, I still have cards from a year ago at PSA and have been very disappointed with every facet of that company.
All SGC needs to do is add like 6-8 color options for the frame and everyone will be happy. No need for custom labels, just add frame color options other than black.
Awesome that you mentioned Nash Cards. I live near them and drop off my cards all the time to get graded. I wasn't using SGC until I subbed with Nash Cards. Now I use them all the time.
Man, so much hype for SGC lately :) Their short submission times are going to blow up! I prefer the looks of the HGA slabs, but they are struggling right now.
Just got in to the card grading game a week ago. I was going to send all my cards to PSA but after seeing their wait times and prices I did my research on the top five and chose SGC. I base my decision off price turnaround time and reviews which are all trending positive for SGC. Making SGC an easy #2 in the game shoulder to shoulder with PSA.
They took all the time to correct mistakes and I'm using them consistently. Undervalued is a definite. Their grading is very consistent but tough on cards and they do the extra in cleaning the cards also.
Scottie B - thanks for all the great content. Hopefully you can help me out. Is it worth the cost to grade a Relic card from a set like Tribute or any other high end set? If so what what would be your opinion on which grading company to use for cards with thicker stock?
Lots of good information and well put together. Let’s be honest here, surveys never get the true answer that is out there so using story lines is never going to be accurate. Not that there’s a better way, it’s more the only way right now. Maybe putting numbers of answers compared to seen would help. Anybody that makes content is an influencer. You may not believe it, but after watching this, your influence would change the outcomes for all the surveys. It’s like people haven’t learned from PSA and what happens when they get flooded. The market will see a larger influx of SGC and values will go down. The majority of people submitting to SGC is strictly for selling and not very many of us are keeping those for PC. It’s easy to say SGC is grading and selling more cards only because the coast to grade is so much cheaper. Let’s see what happens now that economy is becoming more open. We’ll see if there’s an update video showing the SGC numbers going down in the future. Thanks for sharing! Eddie
I really enjoy your Videos. Keep on analyzing cards Rookie's , and new brands of cards when they come out. I hope to meet you at the National if you plan on attending. Have a good day. Barry
Do they hold your cards hostage until you pay the ransom to get them back? You know like PSA and they're up charging?? I will never grade with PSA knowing that if I get a really good grade on an expensive card, I have to pay a ransom to get my card back...
@@scottiebcards2354 well that in itself is more than enough to get my vote! I think it's strange that no one is actually talking about this but what PSA is doing seems CRIMINAL to me.. at least, I don't understand how it isn't? To assume that everyone is a "quick flipper" and is going to turn around and sell the card for whatever PSA deems the value to be, that's crazy! What if Joe Burrow is the next Nick foles and you're somebody that has a phenomenal card, you're not planning on selling it, but you want it in a slab for protection purposes and in all honesty just for some bragging rights.. are you really going to pay 2,000 EXTRA dollars to get that card back only to have it drop in value if he IS in fact the next Nick Foles? I just think it's really crazy and it seems like blackmail and extortion, especially when they won't give you your card back UNLESS you PAY for it, it's not like you can decline to get the card graded and have them just send it back to you, they won't do THAT.. I know everyone agrees to whatever the circumstances are at the time of purchase, but I don't think too many people actually think it's going to work out that way and I'm more than sure people are taken by surprise when they get a note from PSA saying they owe even $1,000 ($200 on top of whatever I initially paid would piss ME off)... I know I couldn't afford to do that.. and being somebody that has no intention of selling anything for the next 10 or 15 years, it basically means I either won't be graded and DEFINITELY won't use PSA if I decide to! So I'd really appreciate it if you, especially you because you do such an amazing and analytical job with your videos, would talk about this.. this is EXTORTION! This shouldn't be legal!
I just started sending cards to SGC and am happy with their product. In my recent experience.. SGC 10 brings about 75-80% of PSA 10's, after that though it falls off a cliff for 8's and 9's bringing only 50% of PSA graded cards. That being said, I like SGC slabs and feel the black border is a nice contrast to most cards.
Well done and fun video. I've always supported SGC and will still as of now only use them. As a hobbyist main, I've always thought they offered the best value. Their customer service has consistently received positive reviews, grading scale is clearly more accurate than PSA, and their tuxedo is a neutral color.
I've done a complete 180 on SGC. I've always been a BGS guy (never liked PSA), but BGS just isn't an option at this point in time. I've dabbled with HGA too and love them for PC items. I really wish SGC would make their Gold Labels pop more, I don't personally own any but they are so rare that label needs to stand out more. Good video Scottie B.
Hey Joe, that price is through Nash Cards. You can also go through KKsportscards for $24. I wish I could send to PSA directly at that price but bulk submitters are needed for the time being.
I've been subbing everything to SGC as well recently. Love the turnaround times. Only thing I don't care for is the actual slab (feel) itself, as compared to PSA's. Other than that, I think they do as good of a job - if not slightly better - with grading "vintage" cards as PSA did/does. I will continue to sub to them, as I no longer feel like dealing with the current and possible future PSA B.S. Example: My 3 card order that has been at PSA for 15 months and is STILL in the "Research" step. Sigh... Finally, it feels like PSA's answer to clearing the backlog is to simply assign PSA 9's to almost every modern card subbed.
I got a bobby dalbec /25 auto. (1989 1st draft pick.) Went straight into a sleeve and a toplader....slightly off center. Psa gave it an 8. Thinking of cracking it open and sending it into sgc.
@@johnboren5910 if I had it my way I'd have it exactly like PSA but except the frost, it would be tux. SGC label of course. I'm just talking slab. Label is way better than the old green.
Scottie, I currently have an 8 card vintage order in with SGC, I don't use PSA anymore, just non transparent enough, especially when they send your card back with an altered designation, charge you $150.00 +16.00 tax a card and with no explanation of why they think the card you submitted was altered in some way, a sharpie was used to color in the boarder, or some kind of solvent was used to remove wax, something, but when i called in for an explanation since they charged my credit card, $492.00 bucks, I thought i deserved an explanation, but was basically told it's up to the grader, and how they feel that day, and yes they do charge weather the card receives a grade or not.
They have been the best in the business for years, people need to dig there feet in when it comes to resale, SGC slabs are as good if not better than the rest and the grading team at SGC is second to none. SGC is #1
I’ve long been a fan of SGC. I liked the old label just fine, but I think the new one is better. I actually just subbed with them for the first time very recently. It was a small order of 6 cards. They got them graded and shipped in 18 days. I emailed with Brent some, too. He was helpful and generally responded quickly.
When submitting cards for grading to SGC, does submitting multiple cards in one submission bring the price per card down? Or is it a flat $30/per card for the 20-25 day turn around no matter how many cards in the submission?
It's $30 a card flat. I've used them twice now on submissions and they're fast and accurate. Nice thing is you can see online submission where the cards are at in the process and the pictures when they're done with the grades.
IMO I think SGC is a player for #2 and could be a threat to PSA in the future. The turn around times, customer service, and pricing. Those 3 big things is something PSA is not doing very well at and has not for quite a while. I also like that they are consistent in their grading where I have seen so many cards get a 6 or 7 from PSA then that card gets re-subbed sometimes back to PSA and it gets a 9 or something crazy. With all that said I like PSA but I am really starting to LOVE SGC. Thanks for this video.
I think SGC has done yeoman's work to add to their brand. Miles they've come and miles yet to go. As far as value, this might be a ever-shrinking window of opportunity to buy SGC 10's vs PSA 10's. I recently bought two Shohei Ohtani rookies. I paid about 29% less for the SGC 10 than I paid for the PSA 10, it's a value.
It's not a shrinking window psa has a wide wide gap on sgc that hasn't closed and don't see it anytime soon. At current prices sgc has a small window of cards worth submitting if you resell your stuff. I like sgc but only use them for p.c. cards I don't like lighting ROI on fire just because I prefer there slab over psa. I like anyone else who's smart uses psa for anything high end
If you have a card possibly valued at $1500 aka a Jarred Kelenic auto red ink topps heritage high number #/72. What grading company would you send it to?
What I like is competition. The more graders, then more competitive prices they will have. I would totally trust SGC and although PSA is the preferred and I understand why I have no problem buying SGC cards.
Where did you get the price of $23 per card for standard service? I'm on their website right now, and it says $30. If the price were to drop below $20, I would definitely submit some cards to SGC. I think the key to SGC's success (as you mentioned) was transparency and being themselves (not trying to be PSA Jr.). The industry is better when you have multiple choices of grading companies...
It's a group submitter rate ($23 a card) or you can submit yourself at $30 a card. I personally have only submitted on my own and had a great experience. I only did it once but have a few PC cards I am itching to get graded so I may go the SGC route again.
It is the stigma of PSA getting peoples loyalty for their graded cards for so long that is putting that hold on people. Hopefully, people will be more open-minded and things will change even more in the future. I have always thought highly of SGC. The cost differences are very important, just as is the integrity department, instead of PSA getting the "big head" and overcharging ( which means you are losing on the resale), and holding you "hostage" because of their name. Remember, with business, ultimately we are the boss.
Interesting video. I’m not sure making strides on Beckett is impressive as it appears Beckett really doesn’t care at all about the grading market. Profit margins on using sgc are very thin and just too risky for me. Particularly if you don’t get at least a 9.5. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
I always bought SGC from 1888 thru 1941 (first choice) then PSA. From 1947 thru 1979 PSA was preferred, then SGC. But, last year I noticed SGC was getting more competitive in PSA territory and are starting to get the appreciation which is well deserved. I believe SGC is more consistent than PSA and in some cases, even tougher when grading. I didn't like the new SGC case at first but, it grew on me. 2 years ago I wouldn't have purchased an SGC if I could get a PSA. Those 1950's cards sure look good in an SGC holder.
I like SGC way more than PSA. I feel that guys under 40 tend to like SGC and the boomers only want PSA. I think the mat black looks cleaner than the clear psa.
I'm over 40 and I like the way SGC is going PSA takes to long on returns and think they can be over taken. SGC prices have climbed over the last yr. Where their $10-60 behind psa now
Great video Scottie and I couldn’t agree more. Prior to last year I had never submitted cards to SGC before, mostly because I was not a fan of their grading system or their antiquated slabs. However, with PSA and BGS shutting down I figured I would give them a shot and I have to say I’ve been really pleased with their turnout, the overall grading and the look of the modern cards I sent in with the new Slabs. I’ll trust them with cards going forward that I won’t pay $100 with PSA for. As for BGS, I always loved the sub grades and sturdiness is their slabs, but at $250 a card they are really falling behind.
Tried CSG and HGA and SGC is way better. Been talkng them up for years. Also, have predicting SGC prices at sale will rise due to their consistent and hard grading practices.
You think SGC grades *harder* than CSG???? SGC gives out 10's like candy compared to CSG and BGS. I think a PSA 10 is much easier to hit than a CSG 10, as well. People either forget or don't yet know that CSG comes from a group of authenticating and grading companies who have global experience and predate all the rest. In 5 years they will be the standard because CSG 10's are flawless and soooo hard to land.

You did hit a major point, they communicate and are transparent. I can forgive alot, just communicate with your customers - looking at you PSA. SGC has done that well and is why I use them exclusively now and have for the last few years.
I love sgc. Turn around time is great. I really love the look of their 10/10 autograph cards. And they don’t charge you extra to review the auto.
Easy to gain market share when you consistently grade cards in under a month, and they grade accurately for an affordable price
Keeps the value in check compared to months later the value of the slab went down in price.
PSA red doesn’t match most cards. SGC matches all
@@bhfromnh3914 the psa red matches all the psa I have collected ...all you new people to the hobby will learn ....psa does 10x more business than any other grader for a reaaon
@@mikecavey3892: That’s because PSA has been handing out 10’s like sweets at the end of October!
@@cardhoncho9878 I crack sgc 10 all day and resubmit it to psa to resell easy money go ahead grade sgc help me make money please
God Bless!!
Nice video as always Scottie! Keep up the good work.
Great video, content and hobby insight. Big fan of SGC, my son and I send all our PC to SGC. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Im a vintage collector so Im a long time SGC supporter, glad to see they are finally getting the love they deserve.
I’m in a group and it’s the same thing I did “10 day” and it took almost a year
PSA has held 10 of my cards hostage for the last 10 + months. I sent SGC 2 cards 3 weeks ago and I already have them listed on Ebay. SGC is no joke. Big fan!
Great content. I agree 1000%. Hope SGC keep it up!
Concur. Very well said. I really appreciate your thoughtful analysis and I think you hit it right on.
Just discovered this channel. Subscribed.
Great video. Enjoyed how you compared the polls so you had some actual data instead of just our perception. For me, SGC is the second best grading company right now. BGS slabs do command more money but if I am actually submitting cards for gradign then they are not even a consideration currently.
Thank You for the open and Honest review.
Keep pumping need my sgc slabs to 📈
I’ve used SGC over the last two years.
@@nathanmulkey Great points all.
All SGC needs to do is add like 6-8 color options for the frame and everyone will be happy. No need for custom labels, just add frame color options other than black.
Ew God no
Awesome that you mentioned Nash Cards. I live near them and drop off my cards all the time to get graded. I wasn't using SGC until I subbed with Nash Cards. Now I use them all the time.
I sent in 84 cards to PSA and they recieved them 2/28/21 and I'm still waiting to get them back. Never again.
Psa is a f****** joke
SGC ALL THE WAY!!
Man, so much hype for SGC lately :) Their short submission times are going to blow up! I prefer the looks of the HGA slabs, but they are struggling right now.
I love the HGA too but as a new company they have a lot to grow. They will be fine
Agree with you guys on HGA. But man, they are in a major rut right now. There 60 days are well over 100 days as of now
I like SGC better than PSA. I won't ever send anything back to PSA.
I have yet to send any raw cards for grading, but I am going to go with SGC when I decide to
Just got in to the card grading game a week ago. I was going to send all my cards to PSA but after seeing their wait times and prices I did my research on the top five and chose SGC.
I base my decision off price turnaround time and reviews which are all trending positive for SGC. Making SGC an easy #2 in the game shoulder to shoulder with PSA.
What did you get as grades?! Where you satisfied with SGC??
@@cardhoncho9878 The grading seemed fair. However the quality is lacking considerably, inside of the Slabs were specs and plastic from SGC.
Sgc needs that premium bump.
They took all the time to correct mistakes and I'm using them consistently. Undervalued is a definite. Their grading is very consistent but tough on cards and they do the extra in cleaning the cards also.
I just picked up a Justin Jefferson RC SGC 10 #125/125 Dynagon the other day. I love it.
Great video! Great research.
BGS is now #3 and quickly approaching #4 with csg passing them. Kudos to sgc
Eddie
Excellent evaluation! Thanks
I really enjoy your Videos. Keep on analyzing cards Rookie's , and new brands of cards when they come out. I hope to meet you at the National if you plan on attending. Have a good day. Barry
Great video! Very informative.
Do they hold your cards hostage until you pay the ransom to get them back? You know like PSA and they're up charging?? I will never grade with PSA knowing that if I get a really good grade on an expensive card, I have to pay a ransom to get my card back...
Hey Guy, I believe in most cases they do not up charge!
For modern cards, I don’t like the SGC look. But for older cards, it absolutely works 👏🏻
Modern cards in a clear slab with a red and white medical label look like shit. Most modern cards pop with the tux slab of sgc
@@taylorb2053 Vintage yes, Modern no.
Mosaic football looks amazing in SGC.
Glad to see you diving into the hobby more! (:
@@taylorb2053 I like the look of SGC for modern too.
I'm all in with SGC
Hey Scottie, where did you see the $23 bill submission at I can’t find that on their website
The way PSA's business practices have been. I bet money SGC will be the new top dog by next year.
SGC is great! We need a strong 2 & 3!
I got a bobby dalbec /25 auto. (1989 1st draft pick.) Went straight into a sleeve and a toplader....slightly off center. Psa gave it an 8. Thinking of cracking it open and sending it into sgc.
I wish SGC slabs weren't so bulky. I'd love a slimed down version of the tux.
Yeah that’s my biggest gripe, don’t fit in my boxes as well as my other slabs.
@@johnboren5910 if I had it my way I'd have it exactly like PSA but except the frost, it would be tux. SGC label of course. I'm just talking slab. Label is way better than the old green.
You should do a video on the toughness of a SGC Gold Label grade… near impossible.
Awesome video. Almost clinical. Been using SGC for a few years and they’re good.
How do they compare to ECG as far as card value and appearance? Their cases are nice but as far as resale value, where do they stand? Please be fair.
I've always loved the top 3 but my favorite now is definitely SGC and that's for all cards !!
SGC is #1
Totally agree.
Great analysis
Might be one a only one's, love SGC cases. Clean, hold cards great! I hate when cards shake around in some other grading companies
Do a PSA test run for the $50 economy. I want to see how long the turn around time.
Making another SGC submission today.
Great video bro!
If you look at BGS/SGC sales for Acuna, Tatis, Soto, etc chrome rookie cards SGC 10’s sell for more than BGS 9.5S a lot of the time.
I like the Tux for everything. I hope Tuxedo is here stay. #2
Where did you pull the SGC boss man video from? Do they have an official UA-cam channel?
Hey Nathan, I found that on the SGC instagram page!
I use Nash Cards for $23 a card and then have great service. Takes about 6 weeks, door to door
I think you put out good information but just wondering why you use the Mike Trout RC in every thumbnail. Honestly would like to see you mix it up.
take a picture of the QR code on back of a psa or csg slab and the exact card comes up and directs you straight to there website
I’m not sure making strides on Beckett is impressive as it appears
Beckett really doesn’t care at all about the grading market. Profit margins on using sgc are very thin and just too risky for me. Particularly if you don’t get at least a 9.5. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
I love SGC. SGC has killed BGS. PSA is next.
SGC vintage has plenty of "boomers"
I'm over 40 and I like the way SGC is going PSA takes to long on returns and think they can be over taken. SGC prices have climbed over the last yr. Where their $10-60 behind psa now
What about GMA Grading being in this topic conversation?
lets go SGC!
For me SGC is number 2 behind PSA and for paper cards like topps update I prefer SGC. I do not like how the card moves around in the PSA slab.
How about in customer service? This one is a huge biggie. So far, I'm not impressed with PSA's customer service.
Do you think ISA grading any good
Great video Scottie and I couldn’t agree more.
@@nicholashale6620 CSG may or may not be a harder grader than SGC. There is unfortunately no data to support either way. But if you reference the data, Dustin on Personal Finance Dad, just shared it showed SGC as the stingiest grader amongst the top 3. My experience is that CSG has crappy at best customer service currently and maybe in time they can correct this and be a more viable option.
