Very sad that today the us and China are embroiled in tension. Growing up and being fascinated with militaries and other nations I always looked at China as our friend and brothers. Even though today things seem different I hope that we can form a strong and friendly relationship to our brothers and sisters in the east. I don’t agree with all that China does but same can be said about my government and country. Love from the us 🇺🇸 to China🇨🇳
It is all about the national benefits in the long term, it needs more wisdom and patience to work on the international relationship, especially for two superpowers. There are many pros and cons once we talk about the political system, but I really feel it is inefficient for the two-party system to deal with the increasingly complex geopolitical conflicts. There would be many strategic mistakes made by the US government due to short-term benefits. Hope peace and love will be forever for all human beings, and hope there is a way to work it out.

I been researching chinese military since 2007, a lot of the rumors leaked by insiders that seem impossible back in the years all materialized in the next decade, fouth gen fighter, second fouth gen fighter, large transport aircraft, mass production of aegis destroyers, 2 carrier groups by 2020 and followed by electromagnetic catapult carrier, the most powerful cruiser in the world and mass produce it, hypersonic weapons, ASBMs, mass production of various types of long range long attitude UAVs, world leading A2A missiles, most advanced long range rocket artillery, mass production of LHDs...possibly the quickest and largest build up of military power and technology during peace time in human history, lets see what the next decade brings.

In that case China fought countless wars against bigger enemies during this period, for example UK, USA, Germany, France, Japan and many more. Being the most recent the sino-japanese war (1937-1945), they resisted a much more industrialized and superior enemy (in terms of military) and won, even recently leaving the century of humiliation that China suffered.
Nowadays they have a more modern fleet and army than the USA, most of the USA military grade equipment was produced in the 90s, the chinese are being developed and produced now and they arent even in overwhelming debt like the US. @@yhong9730 民兵分很多种的，我父亲年轻时候是我们村的地宝同时也是民兵，他们有一套制服。还有的挂个民兵位子但是没制服不用上班，我爸要去巡逻，但是工资非常低，是村委给的钱。还有一种民兵是村里的退役军人组成的，他们有制服、有工资、还会定期去打枪，属于后备役军人，现在还有这个体制。
如果回到二战时期的战争形态，以中国现在的工业能量和人口数量，绝对是当之无愧的王者。可惜现在的战争形态必须占领电磁、空间和海域的技术制造点，我们还有很多需要努力的地方。

lol, the copycat theory is false proposition in terms of technology upgrades. Germans invented and produced car and rocket, did the american copycatted it? Chinese invented and produced lots of things such as crossbow, compass, printing, gunpowder and firearms, did others copycatted it? Besides, if the so-called copycatting is that easy, countries like India then dont have to buy foreign weapons in that insane amount of money. Technology should be set for human progress, not for hegemony.😊
Common sense goes a long way. Which countries license out their most advanced weaponry and you don't think it weird that any country with advanced weaponry has such crappy security that it's easily stolen? Also China is leader in many types of weaponry now, how can they steal something that other countries don't even have? (example: China is the leader in hypersonic weaponry, while US is still in testing stage.)

Literally almost every other military in the world has had amphibious tanks since and even before WWII.
