I love my JM especially the tone from the original pickups, not humbuckers or P90s, but the extra flat extra wide single coils that sing out in that 60 cycle hum when my fingers aren’t on the strings. There is just something magical about those tones, especially the rhythm circuit. Excuse me, I need to go play my guitar right now. Merry Christmas! ✝️🎄
They sound good, but I’ll die on this hill- the best sounding vintage Fender is the first year ‘66 Coronado II. I have a great strat, I have a great tele, I have a great Jag. But nothing sounds quite the same as the first year Coronado II with the nickel covered Dearmond. That neck pickup is the best sounding Fender I’ve ever heard. It’s like a P90 but more stratty. Both clean and dirty nothing I ever find can F with it. And tbh it feels a lot nicer than any other fender I’ve played too with the bound neck and Brazilian board. Nobody cares about them or knows about them. But it’s really the best guitar I’ve ever played. My little cheap 1966 candy apple red matching h/s Coronado II ❤
The absolute 💯 🔥 👌 best Fender guitar ive ever owned is a custom color in sonic blue Jazzmaster, that i bought from a church lady who's husband just past & (u guessed it) he only played it on Sundays ... believe me at the time I didn't want it .. gave her 15 hundo for it ... 80s value ...
Just Baxx'n some tasty licks. Bax on bax off....nope bax is onnnn tadaaaay!! . Would you have the worst looking/best playing guitar, or would you sacrifice playability for visual appeal? the ugliness is tailored to you , like what ever you hate the most. so for me .... any kind of relic hahahaha stupid relics , walked right into that one!

It was good enough for Elvis. 😸
(I've no idea if his was a '66, though)
@ i think he just played one in a movie produced by cbs
Baxter, Your jam videos are awesome.
I wish you did one everyday and then made a Sunday compilation for the week. I’d have that shyt on repeat.

Comment #2:
I found it! Thunderclap Newman "Something In The Air"!!!
Thanks All The Same!!!👍
Would be a great guitar to practice some moderate relicing on.
Was that a old school song he played? It sounded familiar like a song I want to learn from the 60's but I can't remember the title.
Just Baxx'n some tasty licks.
