    I think its neat,the top of Inner Constance can be seen from the trail between Bogachiel Peak and Hoh Lake.

    You guys really crushed this trip and great footage. Not that long ago I would have done anything to see upper mountain info like this. I found the upper mountain confusing and difficult to research even with decent literature.
    Really cool!

    Mount Constance is a fun climb, did that in 1978 with some buddies and bivied on the summit for night photography. Great vantage point of Seattle and Puget Sound.

      I ended up getting to the lake, but turned back around halfway up the mountain as it was getting too dark. Summiting next time though :)

    I’m no climber and have wanted to do this for years. Too much tech for someone with no formal climbing skills?

    • @wildoutsiders
      @wildoutsiders  4 місяці тому

      That is hard to judge... no tech required, just the boldness to continue onward and upward. I would encourage everyone to seek the mountain. You just have to be safe and smart. The best way to learn is to do it.

    I've been up that road a dozen times and up that trail 5 times and using an electric bike is cheating lol, just kidding. Eastern Olympics is my second home.

    • @wildoutsiders
      @wildoutsiders  Рік тому +1

      Oh it’s cheating that is for sure! But you should know we’ve also done the whole thing on foot before. Ryan and I marched up the Dose to climb Anderson and wisened up to the idea of e-bikes after the fact. No doubt the proper way to experience nature’s glory is at the pace of the backpacker (I’m a triple-crowner, I know this), but we had a mission and part of that mission was showcasing alternative methods to this unique approach. I definitely have not done it 5 times (respect! The Dosewallips is magical and challenging) but I bet if you had the chance to ride as we did this day, you’d also hoot, holler and have a grand ol time with us 😉✌️❤️🏔️ I love that you’re passionate enough to call us out but at the end of the day we are also out there to push ourselves, learn something new and grow… things I know you also seek from the Olympics otherwise why would you care to defend them so wholeheartedly?

      Great video. Climbed Connie in the early 70’s. Before the road was closed. Much earlier in the season so the finger section was a dicey snow patch with crampons. We also got to glissade down which was a nice long slide. I’m not sure my 70 y/o legs could do those first 2 miles anymore. Thank you for the memories.
