I just bought the Sims 2 from a yardsale, I can't wait to try it out. I didn't even know there's mods for it, but I'm glad to see there seems to still be a very active community around this game
Welcome to the sims 2! I still play it after all these years. If you have the base game, you should be able to get the sims 2 Ultimate Collection, for free, which is basically all the expansion packs. Look it up. Also look up a website called Mod the Sims, it’s the most non official official sims site, where you can find many downloads, and helpful advice. And of course plumbob’s keep, which has awesome farming mods if you like to play resource micromanagement. Cheers!
This was such a great video! Lamare's Planting Overhaul looks incredible, but has been pretty intimidating to me with all of the details to it. You managed to make it seem easy and straightforward ⭐ Also I really enjoyed the editing in this video - you used it in such a seamless way that you highlighted the important parts but didn't take away and of the focus on what you were saying. Loved it! I bet John will move out to the greenhouse after this, he looked so happy 🥰
Excellent showcase! I already had all of these in my game (except for the Supernatural Juices one so thanks for allowing me to discover that) but I haven't actually used the newer overhaul & sets yet, I just don't have a gardener sim currently but I'm excited to get one with all these mods so it was great to be able to see it in action before I try it out myself. There's actually another mod that fits nicely into this category, 'Mod Ur Dig Edit' by TeaAddict - she made it possible to find the new seeds when digging! Thanks for this :)
This video made my game a lot better, I used to find the gardening in the sims 2 very mundane, and uninteresting. But now, its actually fun. Thanks for the helpful video!!
This video is a godsend. I had the same issue where I'm planting seeds, but the plants themselves aren't appearing. I didn't see, or must have missed the instructions on the Plants Overhaul mod description page that you need to download the plants themselves from the author.
Oh wow this video is fantastic! I never do much gardening with my Sims because, as you said, it’s not a very engaging system. But now I really want to take a look at these mods! Thanks so much for showcasing them!
Great video! I love Sims 2 modders 😊 Also, this reminded me; I still need to get Midge's supernatural plants! In my custom hood I literally have a vampire with the nature (gardening) hobby (ironically enough) so that's perfect for her!
Very informative! Loving this video & saved it to a new playlist for info like this. Look at you! I might have to call you, "Teach" - instead of "Sam" 😄 Seriously, I appreciate the in depth info. I actually liked gardening in TS2, but man- what a grind. (I don't remember giving it a fair go in 3) Any help in ts2 is super appreciated. Thanks so much! 🟢 👍🏽 Will try some mods out.
amazing list!! thank you for putting this together. just what i needed

Thank you very much! And yes I think Johnny would love a greenhouse-house? Maybe he need to move to Riverblossom Hills!

Yes I also use the Mod-Ur-Dig mod, it is pretty cool!
Just started a stone age hood.. and plants will be very helpful!
I was lurking the vod early today, and got to say the video still relevant!

What a helpful video! I love gardening in TS2 but it always seemed like it could be expanded, now to go on a downloading spree!
