He’s got a lot of Norm-isms in the interviews I’ve seen. Considering he’s a comedy fan and good friends with Conan, I’d be shocked if he wasn’t a Norm fan.
He does though. I was thinking this especially in another interview I was watching where he tells a story about a cut marvel cameo for Captain Japan. He tells a lot of these somewhat meandering stories that are sort-of believable but obviously made-up that don't really seem to go anywhere until all of a sudden they do. All the while sprinkling in the occasional old-school vaudeville-esque joke that is objectively awful, but still makes you laugh because of the delivery. Much of the structure of his stories and segments are similar to the way Norm might do it, but he's just a bit more animated and inviting in the way he tells it. @@tafttheraft5314
Timothy should just show up on Conan a few nights a week and just tell stories/trade banter for a few minutes regardless whether he's promoting a project or not.
This is the rare example of an actor -- an _excellent_ actor -- who actually comes off way more awesome as a person than he does in his occupation. And literally, every role I've seen him in, from Go to Die Hard and everything in between, he's terrific.
The way Olyphant talks about him and his wife, you really get the vibe that they're a really good team like they GOTTA be a perfect match for each other. And that's just so subtly wholesome and sweet. He doesn't need to _gush_ all the time like some people, everybody just _knows_ they have been and will be together for the long haul.
Actors like him and Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Pierce Brosnan, and others who cultivated strong marriages unaffected by their careers are the true gentlemen of Hollywood.
Meh. I really like the way he comes across, and he's a darn good actor. But seriously, glorifying theft? I don't care how broke you are. Not to mention it drives up the hotel's costs.
Tim is so quick and witty! love his movies, love his acting, love him as a guest on conan...HES AWESOME! theyre great together. they need a 3 man show.
Conan’s show works so amazingly better than every other late show because of Andy, I believe. He adds another element that I feel makes guests more comfortable than it just being a one on one conversation
Timothy comes off so chill and laid back. I like that him and Conan are legit friends beyond the show, too. How awesome would it be to do some bar hopping with the 2 of those guys?
I saw that too. But he looked to Andy. Andy immediately sees thats Tims brain hit that speed bump. Then Andy totally bails him out with a quick quip before bowing out of the conversation. True gentlemen
I’ve had a terrible crush on Olyphant since ‘Deadwood.’ He’s a great actor, but more to the point - I love his personality. Very smart, witty, quick on his feet (mind), and he’s such a generous guest on talk shows. He has a good time and really enjoys making Conan, Andy, and the audience laugh. I never get the feeling that he’s schlumping because his agent forces him to go and promote his work. He’s been married forever and a dad, too. Bet he’s a good man all around.
White Wolf it could've gone to timothy olyphant but since Tony Stark was more relatable to RDJ they went with him but yea in the end no one replace RDJ.
Timothy seems like that kind of guy you bump into in a random small town bar, just starts talking to you and is such a naturally charming ad funny storyteller, it's 8 hours later.
Pardon me, and younger ppl are divorcing less and less millennials are killing divorce, that mostly tho coz older ppl have insanely high rate of divorce.
Timothy Olyphant is hilarious, its a shame that he doesnt get cast in more comedies, I love his role in Santa Clarita Diet, I am just shocked that I have mostly scene his earlier serious works like Deadwood.
"10 minutes underwater" as someone who has been cliff jumping from a hight of 35 feet, 15 seconds deep under water( with a a lifejacket for safety and to aid in surfacing ) feels like an eternity so I can understand this joke completely and I love a good doctor who has jokes, those are the ones I tend to go back to, but usually have the furthest book dates
The underwater joke felt like he was possessed for a moment by Norm MacDonald.
He’s got a lot of Norm-isms in the interviews I’ve seen. Considering he’s a comedy fan and good friends with Conan, I’d be shocked if he wasn’t a Norm fan.
Yeah, everything down to saying a doctor told it to him
I'm watching all Tim's videos because I have run out of MacDonald videos
I also love it isn't the only time he's told it on Conan. He feels like one of those Uncles who tells the same jokes over and over again.
He does though. I was thinking this especially in another interview I was watching where he tells a story about a cut marvel cameo for Captain Japan.

YES!!!!!!
Him and Bill Burr are Conan's best repeat guests
Gotta include Norm and Louie in that too (although Norm's appearances aren't quite as frequent)
Don't forget Jeff Goldblum and Larry King.
that is a brilliant idea
He is definitely one of my favorite Conan guests. The dynamic between the three of them is always great to watch.
lol was just about to type that when I saw your comment. He's hilarious!
yep, never a 'lull' in the banter.
Out of all the Elephants, he's my favorite.
Jemster lol
This is my favorite comment of the year. Thank you XD
Jemster, I love him too. Since Hitman. He was hott in that movie.
I loved him in 'The Lord of the Rings' and was very sad when Orlando Bloom shot him in the head.
LMFAO!

Most all of his roles are some kind of scumbags. He's a straight up murderer in all three of his staring TV roles.
How does such a perfect man exist. Handsome, loves his wife, down to earth, funny. Damn.
You forgot the only one that women really care about. Well off.
He wasn’t well off when they got married.
Ryan Sizemore ok incel.
Ryan Sizemore he literally said they were broke in this video.. just admit you hate women
@@eikinosta they need to admit they cant get a woman, and than they blame it on not being well off or smthng else

Coolest guy ever. Met him on the subway in NYC once. He was extremely friendly and awesome!
Why are his facial proportions somehow so endearing?!? He's like if a newborn kitten suddenly bcame an adult man. Just... why...
He’s just gorgeous
What an analysis😂🖖
Absolutely right
So accurate!!
haha, it must be the vanderbilt genes, i dunno....
I really like Timothy Olyphant as an actor, I just wish he was in more stuff.

"You do not seem like the kind of guy who would steal"
...Really? He seems like an absolutely archetypal charming thief.
You're right!
Also, it's exciting to see the Daydream Nation cover and your username.
i feel he could convince me to marry my wife
The Sprawl: Agree. Even the hair style and streaks of gray coming in... 100% archetypal charming thief.

You are smart don't do it!
why
I bet you'll end up meeting someone you can't live without in a year. You'll see. Just choose wisely and you will delete your post:)!
They all say that.
It will kick in mate...It will.
you won't be able o resist it
This guy is absolutely hilarious! Everybody knew a guy like this in high school who was really smooth and funny and a wise ass. Super laid back too!
Tim is so quick and witty! love his movies, love his acting, love him as a guest on conan...HES AWESOME! theyre great together. they need a 3 man show.
Damn he just becomes better looking with age.

I wanna see Timothy and Conan troll Jordan Schlansky now.
Big bump! Yes!
Hell yeah
Make this happen.
I don't just want this to happen I need it
omg yes
I'm 101% straight, and i've got to say, Timothy Olyphant is a darn good looking man.
Its that 1% reach-around that does it. Sorry... wrap-around.
And he's nearly 50 years old
I'd question that.
Well I'm 102% straight, and I agree!
Protip: If you don't want people thinking you're sexually repressing something, don't get emotionally invested in these things.
One of the best guests ever. Possibly too charming for his own good.
"It feels like it's only been 10 minutes....under water" LMAO! No wonder they all look drowned!
You made a joke of the joke... Hahahahha
Gekko Midas that sounded like a norm kind of joke
Legit screamed with joy when I came across this clip. Love love love this guy. Never fails to creak me up.

I've come to appreciate Andy more and more. You forget he's there until he has something good enough to interject with, and it's always perfect
Timothy Olyphant seems like a genuinely fun guy.
One of the best Conan guests. It's crazy how different from Raylan he is. Robbed of so many awards (but at least he got the silverware).
Conan’s show works so amazingly better than every other late show because of Andy, I believe. He adds another element that I feel makes guests more comfortable than it just being a one on one conversation

The twinkle in his eye at 3:03 is magic.
Not surprised he steals silverware since he didn't even call Pam back after their second date.
Thank You
Glad he didn't.
im glad for him... pam is a bitch
Who's Pam?

you dont deserve to know
I love how terrified Timothy looked after Conan told him to take it easy.

No such thing happened
Timothy Olyphant has a mix of jeff bridges coolness/storytelling and george clooney good looks.
He always plays with his wedding band. Thinking about his wife. What a great guy.
Unless he's practicing how to remove it.
They talk as if they're in their living room and it's golden 😂😂
Timothy Olyphant has to be my favorite working actor of all. His personality just can't be beat.
I love Tim's laugh, love the way he bounces back and forth, so adorable
Andy's joke, holy hell that was hilarious
The title should be: Timothy Olyphant "JUSTIFIES" Stealing Room Service Silverware - CONAN on TBS
:)
Dina Hassanien NICE!
He's one of the best guest hands down. That clip with him and David Koechner is amazing
He's the best guest on Conan PERIOD!!!
These two have great chemistry
I imagine there's nobody Timothy Olyphant _doesn't_ have good chemistry with.
the interviews are always golden when its a friend of conans in real life
I could see him playing Tony Stark if and when RDJ retires from that role.
He wouldn't need a platform to appear taller than Pepper lmao
He auditioned for that role. He said it in another Conan video
thats the only reason he said it, he's trying to make it appear like its a new idea or something
There is just no limit to this man's sexiness.
I’m completely straight and I think Timothy is hot as effin hell, I don’t even care lol
On Santa Clarita diet he seems so nervous but in real life he is a confident badass
He is so freaking HANDSOME!
I hear these guys are genuinely good friends and they hand out together.
That underwater bit is so Norm
He looks like if Billy Bob Thornton were a Calvin Klein model.

This guy is gonna make a damn good Tony Stark, and Reed Richards, and Dr.Strange, probably even Bruce Wayne hahaha
Bruce Wayne, that would be awesome.
Reed Richards for sure!
If I'm not mistaken, he was up for the Tony Stark part but it went do Downey.
White Wolf it could've gone to timothy olyphant but since Tony Stark was more relatable to RDJ they went with him but yea in the end no one replace RDJ.
Or Mr Fantastic?? 🤔
Love Timothy lol. He's so chill
I have nothing intelligible to say after seeing that mug. You have wonderful taste, Mrs. Olyphant.
Andy kills with the omelette joke. Once again, saving the show.
The omelette joke was funny... but the show didn't need saving, it never does when Timothy is on.
I’m stuck on a Timothy/Conan loop. His appearances are hilarious.
His name sounds like something straight out of Lord of The Rings!
It's pretty awesome, it's like music and magic.
You are right! There's Oliphaunts in LoTR. Those gigantic creatures which look like elephants.
I have been waiting for a while for him to come back on Conan loll
Me too...i was so happy to see him in the thumbnail..
"That not what you supposed to do with the omelet" .. i love andy's take ons
love some Timothy Olyphant
"For $50, you do what you WANT"
Ah, egg jokes.
He is at his best when he's on Conan.

My favourite guest on the show. Always brilliant. Always hilarious
It's so nice and cozy! All three guys are very friendly

the "under water" part got me... lol
He's a lot funnier and more laid back than I thought he would be.
Watch his other interviews on Conan. You'd be surprised

His room service logic is impeccable. 💯

Tim is a beauty
If Fantastic Four gets an MCU reboot, He could easily be perfect for the role of Reed Richards? Any other thoughts on this?

Second time this week I almost choke when watching one of these late night segments...
They're doing something right, nough said.
Olyphant wants to be a stand up so bad he should just do it. Live your dreams kid
"Hold on a second though, are you robe guys?" What a bizarre question
