I know that I don't know Jake and I probably never will but his music realy means the world to me and bc of that he himslef means everything to me. He's amazing and I just really hope with all my heart that he won't stop doing what he does.

In the US, 2 fingers--with the folded fingers facing out to the viewer, means peace. From what I've always known, in the UK 2 fingers with the folded fingers facing you and back of hand facing viewer, means the equivalent of the middle finger in the US.
Give the dude a break! He is a totally shy person and has said so. In his videos I've only seen him act naturally around his band or his mates. He is brilliant with lyrics and he plays guitar the way I like to play guitar as well as hear someone else play guitar. He is way deeper than a lot of composer/musicians these days. The next David Bowie or Peter Green?

I love him and his music but i have to ask, does he not sleep or is he high? His eyes are always half closed and kind of glazed over. On another note lol i love how he is so relaxed dressed in normal clothes and just being himself
I think he just has a really full schedule.
I do believe he does smoke pot but idk if thats true or not. Some reporter said they joined him on his tour in the us and Canada and they were pulled over and searched by a cop and the dog indicated to his suitcase but nothing was found. Later the reporter says jake laughed and said he didn't hide his weed in his suitcase. Lol either way his musics great and weed is less dangerous than smoking a cigarette so whatever :) still love him

It's funny they mentioned this in the interview. I was watching him play Two Fingers at Bonnaroo and half the crowd was giving the Peace sign and others were putting up both middle fingers.. It was then that I realized the song could be taken two different ways.
If you watch the official video his 'mother' in the video gives the two fingers. In the US the British use of two fingers means nothing to the majority, only those of us who have lived in England understand what it means. The history of the sign started in the time of the long bow; the French would cut the two fingers used for pulling back the bowstring off English archers. Eventually it became a taunt at the French from the British.
