@The Network Hustle hey how are you? I got my A+ In two weeks did it online due to COVID 19, I watched lot of video stating that after that get a helpdesk job or build a lab to land that job but I know that helpdesk would be hard for me cuz some questions I might not know how to help a customer, also people said that A+ teaches you like 50% of helpdesk job and tbh i been looking and idek if it’s for me now I like networking and have not experience should I get net+ after my A+ or have to do helpdesk first and get ccna?

@@nemuelpaiva3738 you can do both, get a helpdesk job whilst pursuing your Network+. Experience is very important so try and get yourself a job as fast as possible, don't worry about the fact that you don't know much you will learn as you. The knowledge from A+ will sufficient to help you deal with customers. Don't lose the networking vision but for now get yourself a job that is more important than getting certification after certification with no experience...

@@thenetworkhustle3592 Thank you so much now I have another question I don’t have no one to talk to when it comes the IT world, my question is if I study network + with Jason Dion online course and passed my exams and get the certification, if I apply for a job and they see on my resume that I had it online with no hand on practice do you think they will take me, I received a call from a tech school asking me to be part of the 8 months programs for network+ (everything will be hand on).I have to pay like 4,000 but most likely financial aid will pay Now my question in my situation what will you recommend, is 8months too long? should I do online without hand on? I also study for accounting and work I’m lost right now please help 🙏

@@nemuelpaiva3738 You do not have to put on your CV that you did your course online. Employers are only interested in your knowledge and skills so you dont have to worry about that one.
I am not who Jason Dion is so cannot really advise much but most of the content online should be good to give you knowledge. As for practice/hands on online will not be able to give you that info so you will have to do it on your own.
The tech school that's offering hands on experience will be a good option but the $4,000 price seems a bit high. I am not which country you in, I would consider some technical college that offers evening classes that are cheaper but achieve the same thing. If you evening classes you can keep your day job and test the waters of IT and networking to see if you will love it. Do not spend too much money at the start take it one step at a time.

Obtaining CompTIA A+ certification has really changed my appreciation for computer systems. I would defiantly suggest taking A+, Network+ and Security+; in that order 😎 ~Best wishes to all of those who are studying for a new cert! 😊

time and money spent on net & sec+ could be wisely invested on cisco and microsoft certs...
*i find once people enter the industry they'll realise where the money is at and go for cisco certs*

I earned the CompTIA A+ in the end of 2020. I already had a job as a Network Technician at the time so as far as employment went I did not see a benefit. Neither did I see a pay raise. I don't even think my employer cared about it. It was very demoralizing at first but now that I am moving forward in my career I have constantly used the knowledge during the course of executing my job. The Cisco training trumps it any day though.

Peace, brother. I recently obtained my A+ and the journey has been extremely valuable for me. I don't know if it's because I over-studied or due to my previous experience, but as I'm now steering towards the networking side (leaving Desktop Support), I've come across a lot of the knowledge that was touched upon or needed for the A+.
