Webinar: Elisa Konofagou: Focused Ultrasound for the Treatment of Central Nervous System Diseases

Central Nervous System (CNS) diseases affect several million patients and remain severely undertreated, in part due to the challenge of delivering drug therapies through the blood brain barrier (BBB). Elisa Konofagou and her group at Columbia University are researching the use of focused ultrasound for facilitating drug delivery through the BBB, hoping to unlock answers in Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and neuromodulation.
