I love University Place and the Curtis Senior High School. My youngest son and me just moved here from San Francisco and believe me it's another world. Rent is really affordable, but just have in mind that condominiums here they charge extra for water, sewe, trush, etc and average of $200, so just add it to the price of the rent. It's a very expensive water service. I live in Boulders at Puget Sound in United Place.
Those are some very sought after neighborhoods! Close to some great schools, downtown amenities, and freeway access-but still quiet and calm enough for folks!
@@paulawarwick4905 thank you for this, because I have been looking online at houses in Stadium. Does this even apply to the quiet streets near Garfield Park, Tacoma Lawn and Tennis Club, and Annie Wright? The less busy tucked away streets? Thank you!!
Seriously? Hilltop is #1? It might be better than it was in the 80s but its still not very nice. I live just East of Lake Wapato. Been here 15 years and I like the area myself. If you go if you go a couple of miles North, East and South the areas are little more run down and you have more crime to the South and East. Way better than Hilltop. And much less traffic than Dash Point, Browns Point, Fircrest and University Place. My wife and I stay away from University Place and Fircrest just because of the traffic. Nice areas though.
Lol hilltop ain't really a place ya wanna go homeless, drug use used needles line almost every street......even the beautiful park right beside Tacoma general you don't want to go to so many people killed in that park that area in the last year is crazy
Yeah I touched a little on the end but didn’t fully go into it-usually something I run thru with someone in person 😅 I don’t count it out for people because you’d be surprised at how many people want to be that close to downtown! 😬
@@baggiosaldivar honestly to me that's the worst place in Tacoma in my opinion, I just recently moved from Virginia 3 years ago and already know some places to stay away from, I live near PLU a half way decent area but it's still bad out here.......In Virginia and the east coast crime is really subjected the hoods out here it's everywhere.......just subbed
Thanks! And I agree, not being originally from here I notice the same thing. Not really a way around it which sucks but also , like you said, some areas are better than others…I’ll be coming out with videos highlighting more of the bad too. I like showing people ALL sides
@@j_man7573 I'm really wanting to move to North Tacoma (from Kent) - what are your thoughts on the areas there that have early 1900s houses? Proctor, UPS, North Slope, Three Bridges, Stadium? It can be hard to find much info from locals. I REALLY want to be away from drug use, etc. Thank you!!
@@barb3319 I think North Tacoma tends to be where more of the wealthy locals live. So probably better for getting away from drugs, but likely to be more expensive. If you are wanting to live in those old houses it might be more reasonable though, but then you may be at more risk for fire due to old wiring.

@@baggiosaldivar wonderful, thanks so much! :)
No problem! Always here to help, anymore questions don’t hesitate to reach out!
No to Stadium unless you want a front row seat to the homeless issue and the trail of needles that leads to Wright Park
