- happy holidays! happy new year! in the spirit of our ‘97 shows, and in the spirit of NYE, we’ve released an anthem for growth, a lament for the passage of time. blink-182’s “Dammit” changed my life back in the late 90’s, it’s fun as hell to fall back in love a quarter century later.

Lyrics:
It's alright to tell me
What you think about me
I won't try to argue
Or hold it against you
I know that you're leaving
You must have your reasons
The season is calling
Your pictures are falling down
The steps that I retrace
The sad look on your face
The timing and structure
Did you hear he fucked her?
A day late, a buck short
I'm writing the report
On losing and failing
When I move, I'm flailing now
And it's happened once again
I'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And I've been here for too long
To face this on my own
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
And maybe I'll see you
At a movie sneak preview
You'll show up and walk by
On the arm of that guy
And I'll smile and you'll wave
We'll pretend it's okay
This charade, it won't last
When he's gone, I won't come back
And it'll happen once again
You'll turn to a friend
Someone that understands
And sees through the master plan
But everybody's gone
And you've been here for too long
To face this on your own
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Well, I guess this is growing up
Thanks for covering some real sounds from childhood and sometimes still relevant! Never forget seeing u guys at bates college in 2010
Saw y’all at the Ryman tonight with Ben Folds. Y’all were great!!!
This was the first song I heard that made me start loving music. It was 2007. I remember hearing the song and being like "wait... I actually love this!" I discovered blink-182 that day and it opened my eyes to a whole new world of music that I didn't know existed and my tastes spread out from there like a fire. I discovered bands like the Offspring, Foo fighters, and Weezer. As the years went on my tastes adapted but the same desire to discover music still burns in me and I love finding new sounds that resonate with my soul. Blink-182 and Tall Heights are completely different sounds but if it wasn't for Dammit I wouldn't know Tall Heights 🤷
Saw you guys with Ben at Beacon Theatre. You guys were great and this version is incredible
I was such a big fan of this song when it came out. This version sounds amazing, can't wait to see it live!
Just like they originally planned for it to sound when they were hashing it out.
This is so awesome! It has a totally different kinda longing vibe than the original, i like it way better!
Y’all were great at the Lone Bellow show last night! Can’t wait to see you with Ben Folds!
