I could not hold myself from giving off tears... The very sad story of a man seeing the light shine in front of him, illuminating his path towards his dreams, stumbling across the path vaguely, but then to be tragically beaten and torn apart by life itself, is truly how reality is and thus the very sad truth that lies within it. To me I find it very hard, I hesitate to act, because I hate the feeling of being beaten down by life, for instance (true story in my life), finding a woman that looks amazing, with a remarkable personality, but then to know that attraction couldnt build up any higher than what it previously was at due to you finding this person online and knowing that the likelkyness of you meeting this person any time soon is immensely small, thus the interaction and attraction slowly dies out and both parties go their separate ways, it just stops me from trying to find another person, so I become sad and depressed because of it, and I never want to keep trying ever again... But to hear a story, obviously, perhaps not real, of a man that by an harmless event, or so to be thought of, could change your life in such a dramatic way that you it completely kills your humanity and you end up becoming breathing dead flesh, but then to transcend into a new being, after a long period of time, is truly remarkable.. Hopefully my ignorant childish brain can understand and feel more greatful for life and what I have around me, and to work with it to it utmost potential, because I am remarkably lucky to have the opportunities I have, in comparison with someone that does not. I thank you Pursuit of wonder for your dedication and work to help the people around you, the community and the world, we are grateful for your purpose that you have in your life.

Honestly I don’t even have such lofty aspirations. I’m just hoping to live a life that’s good enough you know? Like whatever comes my way, I’ll just kind of try to make the best of it. I’ve been learning about absurdism in my school and I’m kinda vibing with it. Just accept that the world is indifferent, good and bad things happen to everyone randomly, and no one is guaranteed a good life. Accept this and then live anyway, trying to find to find happiness and daring the world to take it from you
They only seem random because we aren’t prepared (we can’t be prepared for it anyways)or have too many expectations of our own. But nothing is random. It’s all unfolding in perfect order. You don’t have to understand it, accepting it however will create the miracles.
“Trying to be liked is a zero-sum game. If you say things because you think it is what people want to hear and your wrong, then they don’t like you. And if you say things because you think it is what people want to hear and you are right, they like a version of you that isn’t real. Both are losers. At least in the case were you say what you want to say, you are either liked or disliked for who you really are at that moment.” This is a quote from your book and it has helped me not care about what people think of me to a extent and I thank you for that, I thank you for the book there are a lot of great quotes in that book

The saying is that everything happens for a reason. Not so. It's the other way around. We give a reason to everything. Nearly all events in life are not planned for the simple reason that we can't predict what people will do. Everyone is at times lucky and other times unlucky. Successful people are able to turn a bad luck into an opportunity. This eventually puts them in favourable situations giving the impression that they are more lucky. In this video, the man became blind. At one point, he accepted this bad luck. This allowed him to move onto another skill and invested his energy in it. In the end, it worked out. But, for many people, it doesn't. We learn best from failures. So, parents shouldn't protect their children too much. And there's no point lecturing our teenagers about life. They haven't lived life yet, so they won't grasp what is told to them anyway.
There's this analogy that I like to reflect on to understand what luck is. It's like if you're waiting at a bus stop, luck is like the next bus, but you don't know when it'll arrive. It could be in the next 5 minutes, 15 minutes or the next hour. Waiting at the bus stop is hard since it's cold but if you decide to go somewhere else to wait, you'll miss the bus. The way I see it, opportunities are there and they do present themselves, it's just a matter of being there to grab them and get on the bus.
The first two minutes just called me out in every single way right down to film being the last thing I have left because I got good grades at it in High School 😭😭

It’s amazing how the human mind works. This clearly shows brain plasticity since the brain adapted to heighten his other senses, especially his hearing, when he’s not using the occipital lobe for sight. And since he was already creative from the beginning, he just didn’t have the right outlet nor the time to express his creativity, naturally he would gravitate towards music as an outlet. Beautiful

Consistency and focus; is how I believe he was able to 'find talent' in piano. Since he was blind, couldn't do much but it just goes to show that he was able to practice and pick it up fast, enjoying it enough to want to make it a hobby turned into success story. Had he not been blind, he would've had to have discipline in order to keep that consistency and focus where he would've become famous too. Only thing is, perhaps life would've been different if he was still able to see. He wouldn't've had that kind of time at home while he's sidetracked with working and life. I think we all have a pretty good idea on the work-life balance nowadays and how we some of us use our spare time to just relax.
As far as art goes, it’s the DOING of the art that gives it worth, not the fame. Most artists feel unhinged and lost once they get Uber famous or rich. When asked, many say they would rather not be famous. You can’t freely walk anywhere or do normal things because people won’t leave you alone. It’s a kind of prison. Struggling artists or other workers don’t know how good they have it

Right. A lot of people don't want to try to rise because they know they're going to get knocked back down at some point and it makes the rise and fall rollercoaster seem futile. But resurrecting yourself after a fall is an experience like no other. So far I rose, fell, and rose again in my line of fortune only once. I'd rather not experience it again, but if I do fall a second time, I'd like to try to rise again a third time rather than stay down. I'm already preparing for rising after my second fall, because I know how easy they come. Hopefully it will make things easier. Sudden blindness would be one of the harder things to try to overcome.
It's not so much luck, good or bad, but fate. In an old Marty Robbins song called "The Hanging Tree" there was a line that went "to really live, one must almost die". This is often true but it makes one wonder, since death is really the only sure thing in life why don't we all live each day as if it were our last.

No matter what just keep going!!!!!!!!
Keep trying what makes you feel happy.
Whether you try to live or not, life will be lived 💯
Keep on living, now all that matters is what energies you possess. Heart should only feel happy or sad, or is it "or".
Every video is so detailed, so well composed, every video is a wonderful experience!
I have failed at just about everything I've tried my hand at; athletics, arts, and academics...
I've known very lean years, where I lost weight and had a panic attack; I had no one to help me. I've been zeroed out at least 3 times in my life; losing my life savings and my job...
I've always lived within my means and over time have saved invested and have always been able to pay the rent, buy whatever I want to eat and replace vehicles as needed.
I have not made it into a knowledge based profession or achieved any of my previous goals...
I've been searching my entire adult life for some hidden talent/skill i can capitalize on; to create a "lifes work" a legacy...
I'd like to think I am content and happier that I think... I might be...
Sorry for rambling on; perhaps this is a cathartic release.
Thank you for your insights, Pursuit Of Wonder.
Don't be sorry for speaking ur heart out. Ur story would be an eye opener for someone else.. Hope ur in a better place now. Much love 💜
I’m proud of you man! Sometimes writing out your thoughts and feelings is the best way to realize things you didn’t even know you knew
I've been scared to try a certain thing because of potentially finding out I'm not as good at it as i thought.
@@rv.9658 I do not regret trying and failing. I think it would bother me More, if I had not tried at all.
It is better to know your limits than to never have tested them.
What truly saved his life was the freedom from the need of a 9 to 5 job. He managed to find meaning despite the accident because he was allowed time to discover himself.
Exactly my thoughts.
This didn't register while I was watching the video but actually, that's so true!
Mark Twain flashes in front of my eyes whenever Am about to end it all..”get your shit together” he screams.
There are a lot of great Mark Twain quotes but that may be my new favorite. :)
#relatable
"Well then, get your shit together. Get it all together. And put it in a backpack. All your shit. So it’s together."
Mark Twain was extremely wise. There are no accidents. Ever. There are no chance coincidences. Ever. This is known to those who know the Meaning of Life, in full. And I can refer you to no one other than myself. Read my book.
I love the calming nature of your videos, it always makes me appreciate and be aware of where I am in this moment.
For a movement i was stunned, it makes me feel like I was watching a reflection of my life till 5:00.
Dude, if i was in audience and heard this answer i will clap so badly hard, cause damn, what a speech.

This throwaway line from a show that has been memed to death due to its stupid fanbase that pretends to be smart... Somehow it always resonated with me because it's always been something that I've agreed with. You don't really start living until you almost die. I wish I could knock myself out and see all that I have to lose so I can finally live happy despite the circomstances
You do realize that being KNOCKED OUT is nowhere near the same as ALMOST DYING, right?
You probably watch Big Bang Theory
@@TheRazzaManazza Nah. Sitcoms are cringe. Especially this one. The only tolerable ones are the ones without laugh tracks. If you're gonna make shitty assumptions about people, at least get good at it
You can have near death experiences and still be temporarily suicidal. Mostly happens when people are extremely cruel with me
I love this sooo much.

Almost dying as opposed to dying is a lifesaver
Most people live their life without doing what they are the best at.

Adapt until death says otherwise.

This channel is outstanding. He decodes life for us as it actually is.He should be having millions of subscribers.
Please upload more on Spotify podcasts. I'd love love that and I believe many people too .
And please make better stories.
They haven't lived life yet, so they won't grasp what is told to them anyway.
philosophy in the format of art of storytelling
the question with all philosophies is
will it work
Thank you
There's this analogy that I like to reflect on to understand what luck is.
I really Love the "Story" Videos you Put out in which you Wrap a specific topic. Keep it up, its way too good
The first two minutes just called me out in every single way right down to film being the last thing I have left because I got good grades at it in High School 😭😭
Towards the end & the real, vulnerable opening of honestly sharing Felixs thoughts & how it was written is what makes you channel one of the BEST!
Thank you!
ya man i almost got suffocate by my pillow during sleep , that shit scared me to this day
Wow, scary. How did that happen, if you don’t mind my asking? Good thing you’re ok!
Beautiful
Am I the only one who always had parents who never instilled such silly story in my head ? They never told me I could do anything I wanted
No not the only one 😅 mine were just busy with trying to bring me down lol
Words are very much not enough, but through the ideas of philosophies, words have made life even more beautiful.

THANK YOU for this story!
Once again, this Channels Team did a great job at delivering a high quality script which helps me and, judging by the comment section and the general amount of likes and views, so many more people all around the World, to get by... to cope with.. our reality.
Thank You.
IMO, this is an intervention of God rather than luck. I see us a created beings with a gracious creator, eager to fix broken things.
There is no god nor a garcious creator.
I feel that comments like the one above are just wide open opportunities for the jaded or the emotionally damaged or just your everyday, run-of-the-mill American 35 y.o. male that happens to have an inquisitive mind, that is also maybe a bit cynical, among us to question life's most challenging and most tragic circumstances.
