@@moorshound3243 I've not fitted the abs bypass switch as yet. When you're on a loose gravel serface and you want to lock the rear wheel the abs keeps cutting in and it's not good for control once you're off the tarmac.
Great video, really enjoyed that! I just managed to go proper off road for the first time last week on my Himalayan. I'm on the standard tyres too, pretty scary stuff when you are completely new to it!
Enjoying your videos , I have a 2021 bike so can turn off the abs which is great however I wish I had the access you do to such amazing rides … very jealous 😂
These are some nasty trails 😬 You did really great! Staying upright on this slippery stuff on a heavy bike with stock tires definitely requires quite some skill 👍 How do the lomo bags hold up? Mine got destroyed after a couple of naps in the soft stuff. But they also sit quite a bit lower on my bike.
bit late perhaps but what tires did you get in the end for the Himalayan? I had the MT60s on it and changed it for Matis E-07+. Like your videos, nice sceneries and trails.
@@MartinBavin thanks for replying. I've done only a couple of hundred miles on them so far but they feel alright. They vibrate a bit in the beginning. I didn't really have a choice because the Matis E07 + are the only ones available here which is a pity because I was looking at a better set of Mt60s or perhaps Pirelli scorpion rally STR. From what I understand the E-07+ are quite grippy after about 500 miles or so.
Standard bike standard tyres....and half the price of proper off road bike...unbelievable capabilities well done sir I've off roaded mine recently they shouldn't do this well...double take mirrors highly recommended I've the fixings on my versys 650 too so just swap back n forward ...atb from dave
Cheers Dave, I'm really chuffed with it and those trails look far tougher in person! 😂😂😂 Might treat it to a set of TKC80s over the next few months. If it were dry the stock tyers are actually very good.
Wow, hats off to you and the Himalayan.
Interesting video, clear and very direct experience of off-road riding. Good work and great ride.👍
It really shows just how capable the little RE Himalayan is.
Well it's more capable than I am as a rider 😀
@@MartinBavin shame about the ABS?

@@MartinBavin yea I will be doing the same to mine, I hate ABS on any bike. It's only good for cars & lorries.

It's scary when you're not new to it too 😀
Beautiful country. Those stone walls must be ancient. Nice job riding over the slippery rocks on street tires.
It's an amazing place 🙂
I’m amazed that the REH made that! Looked really hard work mind!
If I were a better rider... 😀😀 It's doing pretty well

Cheers, I need to get out and do some more but it's finding time. Really lucky for the rides around here 😊
I really enjoyed ur video

A bit dampish in Wales then mate, you did well on the Himalayan on those trails!
Cheers Mark :)

I've not changed them as yet. I'm probably going for TKC-80s. How are you finding the E07s

Looks a very capable bike.
It's more capable than my riding ability 😀
Fantastic 👍
Thanks 🙂
9:58 and you guys were on this route on purpose. Looks like the kind of thing people get on accidentally when they're lost.
