Found your channel via the rubber bridge video, so sick, and this one came at the best time for me 😂 been trying to game plan for the year ahead and it’s hard to conceptualise what to focus on when very few ppl around me make a living in music. So thanks for making this one! Have really wasted time in the past trying to do too many things at once. Keen as for more videos from you!
I think there is a lot to be said for doing something you love and earning a half decent wage for doing it. So many people are slaves to money that doesn’t make them happy or that they don’t live long enough to enjoy. Do what you love, make it pay… happy days. 🤷🏻♂️🙏❤️
Thank you for making this video. Since production music is the most interesting group category, could you please make a video about it? Eg, how to land work in that sphere? Or have you done this before?
Sweet video! 😁 So are things easier or just different as you get older/more experienced? I'd imagine the increased family responsibilities have their own challenges. Also, I remember watching that bad snacks video during covid when I was getting into making music. 🎶✨️🙌
Great video. Now I want M&Ms. Excellent that you're thinking ahead to retirement. I'm now 60, but feel like I'm 40. Unfortunately, the market only seems to care about my chronological age. Unless you have celebrity-level cred, it's unlikely (from an earthly perspective) that new doors will open when you're 60 -- especially in the world of music. If I could rewind 40 years, I'd probably change things, but I thank God that I'm gainfully employed and living a rich life -- especially by global standards.
I made some money in my early 20s playing live and teaching. Its only now at the start of my 50s, Ive started to earn some decent money from doing production music. I did do a full time day job inbetween, and never imagined I'd end up doing music again full time
Very plain and inspiring Jon. I also think "step by step" is the way, thanks for sharing your experiences!
Love it!! Great video my friend. M&m’s are the best way to demonstrate things.
It really is!

What is production money?
Is it music for TV and movies?
@Gardener7 Sorry, typo. I meant production music. I've corrected it
Well, I watch every video Jon. Have an M&M on me, buddy!
