It's so true...parents think the world of their children it's pretty clever you can also use the portfolio as evidence to how each child is performing in your class.
I am going to make a folder for my son and put his art work in the front of the folder. I think thats a great way to encourage them to do well in life. Thanks for the suggestion.
A happy teacher - A true story - That's my favorite part of teaching. I LOVE seeing their progress and how excited and proud they are when they see their own progress! I've never taught middle school, so I'm just assuming here.. you probably see progress more often as they grasp concepts you are teaching, although with all the hormones and attitudes, not sure if I could handle middle schoolers! My hats of to you and all middle school / high school teachers!
Portfolios speaks volumes! Especially when the parent states the child does everything at home. Well, why aren't they writing their name, identifying their numbers and letters, etc.?
Thanks for watching! Ships in US only.

Thanks for watching! Yes, parents can be super sweet, it's just nice to have evidence so it doesn't turn into, he said, she said, kind of thing.

Like the portfolios! Do you teach in Chicago as well?
