From reading “atomic habits” summary. It is stated that before doing anything you should ask yourself “will this action help me with becoming the person I wish to be” , this allows you to be mindful of your daily decisions. This is powerful as “once our actions become automatic, we stop paying attention to what we are doing” this lack of mindfulness can really set someone back in their progress so it’s good to constantly ask yourself engaging questions

Hamza, the fact that you are not making “hyper-stimulating” videos like you did before is a great thing. I think a lot of people watch those for the dopamine (fast-paced video, a lot of visuals) it gives, not the actual advice, and I think the format of just speaking to the camera is much better and feels much more authentic.

My biggest mistake that kept me from progressing for months was that I thought that having a purpose in life was just one of the pillars of self improvement.
I thought going to the gym, meditating, having a purpose, doing deep work.. they were all equally important pillars. I decided to take it easy with one of them, purpose, and to stay strong with all the rest.
I realised, the hard way, that without purpose, everything else fades away over time. Without a purpose you lose your "why." Its purpose that's the most important aspect. Purpose is the glue that holds together all the pillars of self improvement. It gives you a *reason* to delay gratification.
I talk about it in my latest video, if that's something you might be interested in :)

    5. Cut down fapping by an extreme amount and almost fully have cut porn
    6. Almost have completely given up weed and alcohol
    7. Have been told by my friends I seem way more confident
    8. Have had girls interested in me (for the first time ever)
    9. Replaced almost all of my gaming time with reading
    10. Have lost all of my depression and most of my anxiety

It’s so true, this weekend I felt awful. Because I knew I wasn’t doing what I needed to do that weekend.“Rents always due”.
I immediately hit the gym, made a schedule, and studied what I needed to until I completed the section I needed.
Even if I’m up to 11pm studying, I had to create the mindset of “fuck science” because that will give me every excuse in the book to not wake up a bit earlier, and stay up a bit later.
My reason for studying is so I can be that person that changes my family tree. My grandparents worked insane hours for years to ensure our family would start on an even playing field. It’s my job to ensure that legacy and create one for my future wife and kids.

But here is the thing you might not feel sooo top happy BUT YOU WON'T FEEL WORSE, (you will feel better I'm just giving an example)
So literally you are choosing between feel slight better or same or FEEL WORSE. Do you wanna feel worse?
Its better to get just a tiny bit better mood and proudness in yourself and knowing you can do it and getting more winning momentum and even long term mind gains than to fall in worse mood and mindset.

I have been putting a lot of effort into my studies every day, increasing the time of self-study to 7 hours a day. I go swimming in the morning. And it just feels super good when you can solve the questions based on your current knowledge. My mission is to gain as much knowledge as possible in my lifetime, expose myself to as many ideologies and educate myself about the major religions (I am non-religious, and atheist), my purpose is because I want to achieve that level where I live a satisfying and fulfilling life, i won't follow any religious practices but i can improve my lifestyle a little after educating myself about major religions, stoicism and read Nietzsche's writings. Nietzsche spoke against nihilism and he predicted that it will happen in the coming time. nihilism iz a pandemic, and it is only going to rise in the coming years, solve every single problem that I am given, understand every single paragraph of any book I am told to read and build a body which I am proud of. I was fragile before but I did work on self-improvement and improved my body, but I was very inconsistent. I will become consistent now. I am preparing for JEE examination. Only 1% (10 K out of 1-1.5 million students) are selected for JEE Advanced. SO the exam is challenging and competition is high. (I am sorry for the bad English :(

    everything he says is true.
This is why it is not good to judge anyone
because everyone is unique with a different
    path in life.
The western world makes us think its all about
money, fame, big house, hot wife, ......
not to say that these things are not enjoyable,
but they are not the only purpose.
They are just like icing to the cake.
I believe the cake is more rooted in wisdom
    and good character.
This is something not emphasized enough
in modern society, where its all about the quick fix,
the claim to fame, but in the end most end up
miserable. if you practice meditation daily you will
come to clearer realizations much faster because
these are the moments we see our flaws more clearly
and make resolutions about how to fix the problem.
If you never take time to take stock of all your actions,
its like a business man who never makes a daily count
to see how much profit has been made after expenses.
All the technology of the modern world is a subconscious weapon to
prevent you from becoming more self aware, because if more people were
by now there would probably be a world wide revolution against
all governments. Dumb downed people are much easier to manipulate
    and control.

Summery of video: The choices a man makes should align with his mission, this is described in the book “The way of the superior man”. The mission is the goal, what you want, and your purpose is the reason you want it. Hamza describes his purpose as wanting to help men during their self development journey and make it easier for them. The ultimate way a man should live is to dedicate every action in his life towards his purpose and mission, down to the smallest of actions. To reach this, Hamza suggest progressive overload. Start with maybe 5% of your day toward your purpose, than maybe 20% then 50% and so on. People might see this as unfulfilling, directing every action toward one thing, but each action, with the right intention could be seen as furthering you toward your goal. Hanging out with friends could be seen as practicing your social ability. Hamza ends it with saying that the negative feeling you feel when you do not do productive things is because you are not living in your purpose. It is easy to throw the depression card but the true reason you feel shit is because your choices do not align with what you should be doing. Start dedicating every action toward your goal and you will feel fantastic.

Taking the words out of my mouth, everyone's advice always goes like "focus on your purpose" but never actually teach you how to discover that purpose. My favorite advice for purpose is that purpose is not something you "find", but create, and it's cool that more people are talking about such an important topic.

Yes. Purpose comes first. The reason why I got through my long term relationship break up was because of my purpose. I always had my purpose first in our relationship, so it was easier to cope when we broke up. If it wasn’t for my purpose; I’d be down really bad.

When you know your purpose and mission in your life, you should navigate your holistic life including your dating life and other aspects based around that. You are responsible for carrying out your goals everyday as you are working towards them, so if you have any negative habits, people or things that is bringing down, it's time to give them up and really focus so you can become the best version of yourself. Thank you Hamza.
