What some people don't understand about Chris Brown is that he's not just a singer, but he's also an entertainer, a dancer and a very active one. You can't expect the person to sing live all through a song AND dance as much as he does. It just doesn't work because he would always be out of breath and that would make the song less "lively". It's expected that he lip syncs most of the songs when a great amount of dancing is involved.
The dude is obviously talented and in this particular instance he came to dance and not to sing. If it was MJ or Beyonce or any other performing artist, they'd lip sync too. Cause you can't do flips,dance your ass off and keep an impeccable tone. It's entertainment. Learn to enjoy it, instead of hating.

I don’t understand people that always hate on his live performances... like he’s obviously lip syncing cuz have u seen his dancing?? And yes he’s not singing extremely well when he does sing live... cuz have u seen his dancing!!?! Dancing and singing is EXTREMELY hard to do. And a lot of people, understandably, compare him to MJ, and how MJ could sing well and dance at the same time but u have to really look at what they’re doing cuz they’re definitely not the same! I’m a HUGE fan of both of these guys so I’ve seen way more videos than I care to admit and I can say that the dancing they’re doing is two completely different things! Michaels dancing style is very different compared to Chris’s. Michaels style was very footwork oriented and fast intricate movements, while Chris’s is very big, high intensity, and long sequences. Michael never did any choreo that involved big jumps and high speed/high intensity movements like Chris and that has a lot to do with the fact that Chris has more modern hip hop in his style. High intensity dancing the way Chris does requires A LOT of breath, way more than what Michael usually did, and singing alone requires a lot of breath so obviously he’s going to be lip syncing. And also when Michael did sing live and start to do a little more high intensity for his kind of style, he didn’t sound perfect and then he also would lip sync A LOT, especially in his later years when his dance routines became bigger and more elaborate. It’s only human that both him and Chris can’t do both perfectly, and to Chris it seems like putting on a banger performance is going to be more dancing oriented so he’s not going to worry about his vocals. Comparing the two of them in this sense really doesn’t work because they’re very different and also mike did have his flaws too! It’s fine. But just like mike, if u were to have Chris just stand there with some minimal dance movements and sing a song, he would sound fine. His voice is still good it’s just the performances he gives is never vocally based.
