I had to take disassemble and then reassemble an AODD pump at work today, its not the same make and model but it has more or less the same components, this video was very helpful

These pumps are so powerful they can drain a lake even when running at 25 - 30 PSI. I've actually remembered when I was at work using one of these to transfer very thick liquid with some sediment along with it to another tank. Pump broke down after and called for maintenance. When the maintenance dissembled the pump, the inner piston was pretty much broke in half. Never seen anything like that.
