Thank you for capturing Government Center as I remember it. It's been over 20 years since I've been there and I can *still* smell the subway smell!

Almost forgot about that shop @01:46 that used to sell snacks, trinkets and coffee." & I think @02:26 is the last time they let the passengers know that D trains were turned at Park Street. Usually you figure it out after waiting and not seeing any D trains @ rush hour.
I think they closed the ticket/customer service window in 2006~?

Just a comment on the video description: despite the fact that the Green Line cars spend a portion of their route(s) on streets running on overhead lines, they are generally not considered trolleys. Not sure what the technical line of demarcation on the subway/trolley car difference is, but as far as everyday nomenclature goes, they are widely considered subway. Now the Red Line Mattapan extension running out of Ashmont station, that's definitely all Trolley. Very cool trolley, at that. They are all post-WWII cars, still in active service, and now painted in the color scheme they wore when they were first put into service!

Strictly speaking, trolleys are so called if they still use the traditional trolley pole as a current collector, rather than the more modern pantograph,

Trolley is anything streetcar or light rail. It's subjective.

      Subway is not a mode.
      It's a way things operates.
Literally means under the way, or underground.
Can apply to any mode of transportation.

I call the current LRVs trolleys just like I used to call the PCCs and the Boeing LRVs trolleys.

Government Center has been closed for 2 years because of a massive refurbishment, and should open this spring.
