  • Made this video for my PLC platoon at Mizzou because a couple guys have been asking for general knowledge like this! Might make more videos relating to OCS!
These are the new Danner Reckonings in case you were wondering.

Are those the RECKONING’s ? If so what’s your review on them. Are they good for hot weather? I’m looking for a boot with a lot of breathability, confort and good enough for a ruck

Reckonings are pretty reliable and light BUT not as durable as bates and other tougher duty brands

I've been looking to join the marines when I turn 18 and I have a pair of boots but I use them for work or whenever I'm out with friends and they might get dirty I knew the left to right rule I never knew about a boot band I've never heard of that I thought you just tucked them in that's what I always have done just tucked them in preferable to have pants that are long enough that the heel of your foot will hold pressure on them keeping the pants tucked in

apparently they do that in boot camp, idk tbh in my country we just strap the pants in on the neck of the boot, at the very top and if ure an active soldier like i am then you dont have to do anything and you can literally just let the pants go outside the boot, tho it looks terrible so i wouldnt rly recommend it unless you are in civilian clothing then its ok

won't degree get into the top of your boot. don't you want the band to be under the knot of your boot laces?
