depends on which ones you mean. Some of them follow the left hand path which is to be god . That is the idea in the garden. Knowledge leads to death when its not kosher and unripe. It’s very simple. No one can make Christ come back on their own accord. The scripture is clear that Jesus will come back when no one expects it, and when it says no one it’s means absolutely no one. Not a single soul will be able to predict when it will happen and therefore no one can usher him in through these ritualistic practices. God is patient in his return. He wants all men everywhere to come to repentance and trust in him for salvation. And it’s up to him to decide when he will come again. All I have to say is this. Whether he comes back today, tomorrow or a couple more thousand years from now, all of it is ultimately going to end poorly for you if you do not trust in Christ for salvation. If you think you’re going to heaven because you’re a good person, good luck. And make sure you that claim to be in Christ are actually in Christ. Salvation is not dependent upon what you do, it’s dependent upon Christ. So examine your faith and find out who you truly trust in for salvation.

The only way a prophecy is invalid, is if the prophecy is fulfilled, but the outcome of that prophecy never comes true. Also, anyone claiming all the biblical prophesies have come true are lying, there are prophesies that will come true after this Earth is gone. The bible says this earth will die away and a New Earth will be made and the church will come out of Heaven with God onto the New Earth as the New Jerusalem. I think it is silly to claim that a prophesy can't be real because people can know about the prophesy ahead of time.

To my understanding, other than the red heifers, the component that they've been missing for these last ~2000 years is a prophet who would have the authority to divine the identity of a qualified high priest (an unsullied Aaronite) and anoint him for office. The Bible already covers this part since you read in the book of Malachi that Elijah is coming before the "Day of the LORD" comes, and Revelation shows that there are "Two Witnesses" or "Two Olive Trees" that prophesy in Jerusalem and "measure the temple" for 3.5 years before the temple then gets defiled by the Antichrist.
Rev 2:9 this is the prob.

The plain fact is that the return of the Jewish diaspora and construction of the 3rd Temple, along with the restoration of daily sacrifices and holiday keeping, is flatly prescribed in Revelation as well as many of the OT prophets such as Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah etc. as being necessary for the unfolding of God's planned eschatological scenario. All of biblical prophecy, OT types about the Jews and the Messiah, and the final fulfillment of everything written in the Law of Moses depends on the Jews repenting according to Deuteronomy 30. If this repentance does not take place, Jesus will not return, the land will not be restored and God's covenants with the patriarchs will remain unfulfilled. However, if (when) this repentance does actually take place, you will see the fulfillment of prophecies such as Zechariah ch.12-14 take place. Then all of God's covenants will but realized and we will enter the kingdom.
Matt 5:17-18 "Do not think that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I have not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law until all is fulfilled."
When you see Deut. 30 and other Israel's Repentance passages take place, then the Old Covenant with Israel will truly and finally be fulfilled and done away with and we will enjoy the kingdom's rest. But until then, the Law of Moses, according to all it's laws, ordinances, regulations and stipulations is still operating in full effect from the destruction of the 2nd Temple in AD 70 even until now. You can tell the OT Law is still working because the Jews are under its curse suffering all its penalties, and have been for the last ~2000 years.

1) Revelation describes that they are both killed by the Antichrist at exactly the midpoint of the tribulation after which the antichrist defiles the temple and assumes complete power. True that Herod and Pilate + the Pharisees killed John and Jesus, but to my knowledge of history Herod did not thereafter place a statue of himself in the Holiest Place.
2) Jesus and John never called down fire and plagues nor stopped the rain as the Two Witnesses are described as doing.
3) 3 days after their deaths, the Two Witnesses are said to rise from the dead; their resurrection is visible and public, since their bodies were lying openly in the street for those 3 days after they were killed: "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth." Without even addressing all the other details of that scenario, the historical example of resurrection is attributed to Jesus but not to John; Jesus' resurrection was secret, shown only to his disciples and not the rest of the world.

I never understood why some believers think they could somehow force Jesus’ hand and make Him return. Almost like they can fool the system and go to heaven earlier than God planned.

A few years ago, I came across a website that analyzed the journals of Christopher Columbus. The authors of the page were convinced Columbus’ motives for traveling west to reach India was to make enough money to finance an army to take Jerusalem back from the Muslim occupation so that Jesus could return. If this is true, then even Columbus was obsessed with ushering in the end times.

It might seem semantic to differentiate between the arab/syrian/central asian and the romans who controlled the region at the time; but when interoperating these events through the lens of Christian eschatology, an incorrect assumption of who destroyed the second temple would lead to an incorrect assumption of the peoples prophesied, through Daniel 9:26, to come against Israel in the end times.
In fact, historians concede that even the legions used to quell the Jewish uprising at the time were predominantly Syrian (most likely around only as high as 20% Italian, if even that). So much so that Tacitus the legions "saluting the rising sun 'according to the custom of Syria'". so, no more than 5,000 of the 25,000 full time legionaries were Italian, in addition to ANOTHER 35,000 Arab and Syrian reserves and auxiliaries. When you do all the math, only approximately 8% (at most) of the Roman military strength in the region at the time was Italian. So, when Daniel says in Daniel 9:26 that "the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary" he does not mean that the "Prince to come" will be European... he means that he will be Syrian, Arab, or Central Asian like the people who burnd and tore down the temple.
Likewise, the descendants of the Assyrians were used to strike down the twin towers on 9/11.

The point of prophecy is to verify that the rest of the message is true, not so we can see into the future. They are typically fulfilled in very unexpected ways, as in the prophecy of Tyre, which gives them even greater credibility once they have happened. The whole point of everything is to get as many people convinced and saved as possible.

What is the difference between forced prophecy and natural prophecy? If something is prophesied to happen, how do you know if the event that was to happen was due to just happen or due to people making it happen. If it happens it happens, who’s to specify the catalyst to the fulfillment when the specificity in the prophesy was never dictated? If it happens, it happens whether or not people forced it.

Look into having Gary Wayne as a guest. Yes, he leans protestant but his knowledge on biblical prophesy is pretty incredible. He gets deep in the weeds and it may seem confusing but it makes sense by the time he is done explaining.

In Ezekiel, when God tells the angel to measure the temple mount, he tells him to ignore the corner where the dome of the rock stands, because it is where the blasphemy is.

I'm happy for anyone who accepts Christ. Overall, we are on the cusp of essentially what happened to Rome happening again. Christianity will become the religion of the world, you'll see a lot of Protestants return to Catholicism, and the stage gets set for Revelation 13.

@@David-yz2ks well the Catholics believe that only Catholics get saved. That's one angle. But that's not true, salvation is in Christ and can be found wherever the Gospel is preached. The other angle goes really deep into Daniel and Revelation and I'm not sure this is the best place to go into that level of detail.

This guy gives you a good simple breakdown of the different ways to interpret Revelation. But he completely lost me when he said that the prevailing belief is that the antichrist will be Jewish. Pure nonsense. The prevailing belief has been that he would be of Roman descent, Daniels "people of the ruler to come" who would be responsible for crucifying Jesus. The Jews demanded it, but it was Romans that actually nailed Him to that cross. Also see the "city on seven hills".

There are a number of layers to the prophecies and sometimes more than one thing can be true at once. Firstly, there will be a SPIRIT of Antichrist and that will fulfill the images of the beast-empires. And it stands to reason that could be full filled by the modern Rome. But then there would also be the individual antichrist in terms of a singular messiah leader who would be able to lead everyone astray
Antichrist is the Pope \Papal system. Committing Blasphemy- claiming to forgive sins, committing Blasphemy- claiming to be God, both of which the papacy claims to do. Thinking to change times and laws - claiming to change God's original holy day (Saturday) to Sunday. The papacy claims this change as well.
Also, rebuilding the Temple and resuming ANIMAL sacrifices completely ignores Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. John the Baptist called Jesus the "Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world" John 1:29 That's also why, when Jesus took his last breath, the veil in the Temple was torn, from the top to the bottom by an angel (no human hands did this) indicating the system of animal sacrifices was no longer needed.

The sabbath is traditionally on what we call Saturday because it was the last day of the week. Look at your calendar; Sunday comes before Monday because it’s the first day of the week. Even as far back as Paul, the church would gather on the first day of the week and you could still keep the sabbath on Saturday, the last day of the week.
Beyond that, there is argument to suggest Christ being the new covenant, negated the sabbath. If you study the New Testament, it’s the one mosaic law that is no longer enforced and Christ even says, the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. We’re no longer bound to it.
I would go as far as to say the Catholic system could very much be an aspect of the fulfillment of the revelation of John in so much as it very much COULD be the false witness when the time comes. It would be very easy for any given pope to confirm an individual as the messiah and sell it as Christ’s return, thus the deception Christ spoke of in Matthew.
The Bible tells us to watch for signs, but it doesn't tell us what to do differently. I think people see signs and are like we need to do something.
The ashes of the red heifers are required to purify / clean the Temple Mount in preparation for the rebuilding of the Third Temple. Only problem is that the Dome of the Rock, an Islamic shrine, currently sits in the location. Sacrifice of the heifer would mean that the shrine would need to be destroyed, thus starting a religious war.
All this grasping is why I just can't be religious.

There isn't one single verse in the entire Bible that says every single hair has to be red. It only says "blemish less", referring to it not being able to be mame. The same blemishless word is used for all lamb sacrifices. Yet NOONE claims every single lamb ever sacrificed had only white hairs.
