In middle eastern literature rose is strong symbol of sexualized masculinity. Rose for men and deep black eyes for women, (because a woman’s eyes are often the only thing a man can see when he meets a woman.) These two tropes come up over and over in Middle Eastern poetry.
Poetry is a HUGE thing in the Middle East.

This reminds me of Odyon Dubai Scorpion Intense in the dry down. MTW is more complex but they have a similar vibe.
It's an eerie kind of thrill to see how similar our tastes are-- you review so many fragrances that I own and really like. The thought of a fragrance immediately conjuring up images of Nuno Bettencourt's face, HAHAHA! Glad it was you and not me :D
I just bought a full bottle of this, choosing it over Naxos because of tge latter's obnoxious use of lavender. I think the main player for More Than Words is amber. Its overwhelmingly an amber scent. Yes, oud is a prominent accord. For me, the fruity accord persists for a long time as do the floral notes. Not sure the composition of the "fruity notes" or the "floral notes", but I do think dried fruits and rose are big players.
What’s your take on it, on a scale from 1-10? I ordered mine this week on a blind buy, and will arrive on Friday!

This one is often compared to rose d'arabie but I don't get it they don't smell the same for me.
I've never tried by kilian rose oud and would personally love to see a review on your channel.
There is also an oriental line of jo malone that has been so slept on, the absolu line like jo malone violet & amber absolu for example
I don’t think it’s the same as Rose D Arabie at all. And eventually I’ll get around all the Kilians or watch out when the membership series is announced I’ll probably review it there.

This smells like le male/ reflection man to me.
I really liked it sprayed on paper. But on my skin the floral notes after the opening are just a bit too strong for my liking. Longevity and projection is really good tho. Nice review
