I like a couple of Blind Melon songs. Wish he won his battle with addiction.
The songs of theirs that I didn't like at first, I eventually came to love after more listening. I think it's because of their way of songwriting where they take left turns out of nowhere, but that spontaneity is what keeps it from getting boring after you've heard it 100 times. They're like the anti-pop of all '90s bands (except No Rain, of course)... every song is a deep cut.
I love all their songs. Big fan from their start.
I remember seeing the video and being like , who is that. Him and Axl harmonized great together. Shannon hoon was a amazing vocalist and it's sad the kids wearing Kurt Cobain shirts have no idea who he is. I feel like hoon is the greatest vocalist from 90s rock
I love Blind Melon, my favorite band ever. The 1st album is my favorite album in life, I love it from the beginning to the end! Guns is my 2nd favorite band, I wish they had made more music together, I just love their collab in Don´t Cry.
I’m a huge fan and connect with the band (which is still alive and well) daily and especially the fans. Melonheads are a huge international- probably intergalactic family of people resonating at that same energy Shannon put out. Excellent job by the way- I never realized just how many shows they did open up for the biggest band in the world at that time. They must have rubbed off on each other because they were (and Axl still is) prolific creators and insanely talented artists. Blind Melon is on tour and Shannon’s legacy is alive and well, but they are also about to put out a new album that you should definitely give a listen💜

Yes! Fan of Blind Melon! Why to school with Chris Thorne, we both played guitar, and he was cool enough to tell me talk to the music teacher, cuz they let him go to the music room to practice, for all of his study halls, and that I should look into it. Happy he made it, not so happy I lost some fingers due to a table saw injury, but emoting happens for a reason, and, I get it now. 😊 🎸🎛️🎚️
I live in Lafayette Indiana. That last comment on the video was not true. Axle had a nice big house buy a small Airport here in Lafayette with even a working Tank. Witch I have seen moving many of time as I drove by his house because I lived down the road from him. I always knew when Axle was in town because he had an AMAZING white limo with a big red rose on the back window and on the side rear quarter windows.
The album BM SOUP has been a favorite of mine since I first heard it back when it came out, Shannon was a talented vocalist and Blind Melon was a great band, another tragedy of over dose, RIP Shannon

Sad what happened to Shannon but at least he lived his life to the fullest while he was here.
I was 22 when SH transitioned! I can't remember what music genre was into then, but I know it wasn't Blind Melon or G&R. But now that I'm going to be 50 in a couple of weeks April 11th to be exact, for some reason I am so into Guns N roses and Blind Melon. In that order! But I didn't become interested in that music until (sadly) Lisa Marie Presley passed away in this January. When I seen Axl Rose speaking at her memorial service at Graceland. I live near Memphis Tennessee, so seeing Axl Rose in Memphis Tennessee I was shocked cuz I didn't know he knew Lisa Marie and certainly didn't know he was still around.. I couldn't believe that it was Axl Rose I was looking at. And he didn't want to be a speaker at her funeral but he did it for Lisa. Anyways I couldn't believe that was AR. So I so then I started looking up at Axl Rose and Guns N Roses because the performance he did at Lisa Marie's funeral was not the axle I remembered so I went back and looked at everything they did back in the day when they first started from 88's through the 90s of course and then I came across blind Melon and of course Shannon Hoon I'm thankful that I didn't start appreciating them until I was older because I would've understood if I was still in my early twenties trying to understand what happened to Shannon why he passed so young but he lived his life to the fullest in those 28 years! I've watched both documentaries on Shannon's life also. I think one of my favorite performances was him at the Woodstock.. that dress looks so cute on him 😂.. mention his State of mind he was a force to be reckoned with! And I'm sure I will see him on the other❤

Its so crazy .. I saw GNR in Sacramento on that tour... Brian May opened.. But during the Lies album part of the set... A guy with a dominoes pizza shirt brought a pizza.. He was famous but i cant remember who it was... It wasn't Shannon Hoon but it was a famous rocker.. Ummm. The show ended after November Rain when Axl said .. " Somebody hit Duff in the head with a Beer Bottle, if you find him kick is ass".. 14 yr old Me was grabbed by the arm.. By my uncle who brought me.. And we made a quick exit.. Due to Axl's rep for starting riots.. Legendary moment for me in my life

@@caliblue2 no, but I show my love for the band all the time. I have cystic fibrosis and they were one of the bands that made me want to sing and Express myself. Check channel if youd like to hear. They had the a lot of love in their band and it sprang off the page :) God bless

I don't think rose gave a dam about hoons band, rose had an ego larger than the galaxy, here was a chance of having a biographer coming from his hometown, but this biographer died and rose didn't even make it to the cats funeral, I'm sure he lavished hoon, limousines, lobster, meet rockstars, all in vein, look what I became from a small town in Indiana is what I see from bill bailey, I love GnR, but this was very unnecessary, I don't even care for blind melon, but bailey didn't have shannon's dreams at heart, it was all his allusion of his own ego,
