Love electrolysis, I love to see silver shine 👍 Never understood why people want to see them all manky and black they wouldn't of been like that when they were used, good tips 👍
@@stevespears3341 hi yeah it's the negative end that goes to the coin, otherwise it will start to clean the screw using the coin as a diode just won't work, hope this explains ok Steve 👍
This works well, but if you leave the coin in too long, it will become "pitted"....if you have a spare knackered milled silver, it's worth over zapping it (say minutes) to see the result.
Haven't tried it with copper coins and I think I wouldn't use it on very damaged crusty copper coins as it will ruin it . Old copper coins are fragile and flakes of easily
I found a silver unit last Sunday that’s got a few bits of crud on it. I’m so tempted to try this. Or send it of to get cleaned buy someone for £30

Exactly 👍we love shiny silver unless some finds are too fragile we don't clean but on the coins like that it's completely safe
Hello does it matter what side the wires goes on the coin on the negative or positive side of the battery

I'm gonna give this a go. Have you tried this with any copper coins?

Is this any better than a piece of aluminum foil with sodium carbonate ie washing Soda?
Not tried that, let me know how you get on 👍
Does it show luster?
It takes all the tarnish and gunk off then rinse well and polish with what ever you use... Really does work it's awesome 👍
