    Francisco Tárrega
Born in Villarreal, Spain, in 1852, Francisco Tárrega's life was marked by both hardship and musical brilliance. Despite a childhood accident that left him partially blind, his passion for music, particularly the guitar, remained unwavering.
Tárrega honed his skills under local musicians, developing a unique right-hand fingerpicking technique that revolutionized guitar playing. This innovation, characterized by a balance between melody and accompaniment, offered a new level of sophistication to the instrument.
Furthermore, Tárrega dedicated himself to elevating the guitar's repertoire. He meticulously transcribed numerous works originally written for piano and other instruments, expanding the available pieces for guitarists.
In 1874, Tárrega entered the prestigious Madrid Conservatory, but his focus remained firmly on the guitar. By the late 1870s, he had established himself as a virtuoso performer and a sought-after teacher.
Tárrega's influence extended far beyond his own compositions. He mentored a generation of exceptional guitarists, including Miguel Llobet and Emilio Pujol, who became instrumental in solidifying the foundation of modern classical guitar playing.
Tárrega's own compositions, like the melancholic yet hopeful "Lágrima" (Spanish for "tear"), stand as testaments to his mastery of melody and harmony. These pieces solidified his place in the pantheon of classical guitar composers.
Francisco Tárrega's life was a story of dedication and innovation. He transformed the classical guitar from a folk instrument into a voice of profound beauty and expression, leaving an indelible mark on the musical world.

Listening while making breakfast, I could not help but hearing Queen’s ‘Love of my life’ in between the passages. I enjoyed the performance, thank you so much. ❤
