Hop you like this beginner-friendly step-by-step video on how to make these wafer paper flowers. Do you like loose organic looking arrangements or more structured?
I love your videos, I recently purchased wafer paper to try flowers for cakes but it had no bumpy side. Is there a particular wafer paper you would recommend?
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and also some extra tips. You're so generous. I hope you will not run out of ideas so that you may continue teaching amateurs like me with your styles and techniques.
Woww.. i was finding just this kind of flower, raw looking and not symmetric.. and its a perfect tutorial.. u explained everything in detail.. thank you so much.. 😘
Such a great technique, Anna! I love the idea of creating petal sets that are all attached to each other and letting them dry before adding the center. It creates such lovely shapes and movement!
This video is awesome!! I am working on a cake for a July wedding with dusty blue and sage , this makes the flowers so easy I am excited to try it! I am doing a semi naked chocolate cake
Recently found this tutorial and I love it. Your explanations are so simple, easy to follow and I love that you provide solutions to different scenarios.
Hi Anna, Your classes are awesome. So simple. I have tried some of them and they came out great. Thank you.. Good wishes.. Best regards, Gayatri Nair from Kerala, India.
Absolutely brilliant tutorial, thank you. I have a customer who wants white flowers on her wedding cake, so do I just leave the wafer paper as it is and just apply the conditioner. Please respond, thnaks.
You've done a WONDERFUL job of illustrating this craft, you've made it very accessible. Is there a substitute for the wire and tape to make it truly edible? It just seems like a lot of extra effort to make it out of rice paper but still not edible. Excellent video, great editing, thoughtful presentation.
Thank you for your kind comment. As an option, you can use a lollipop stick for the base, you can even pit a small candy inside to make it edible. I showed this method here: astashkinacakes.com/wp-flower/
How long will these flowers stay pliable ? I currently make only gumpaste flower but I LOVE the lightness of the wafer paper. My cakes are faux cakes and I ship them. Wondering how the flowers would ship ? Thank you , awesome video !!
Thank you for the video. Can you refrigerate a cake with wafer flowers on it? Or is it better to place the wafer flowers on the cake when ready to present it?
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! I can’t wait to try these. Would you recommend wrapping the wire in green floral tape before inserting into a cake to look more realistic? Or are they normally left white to blend in with the cake?
Hi Anna I was wondering if you had any tips or a video about how to store and how long you can keep wafer paper flowers love your videosAnd how do you actually attach them to the cake sometimes when they are a few inches away from the actual cake
Hi! Wafer Paper is easy to store in a dust-free dark place. Usually I place my flowers in food containers and keep them in a cabinet. I have some flowers for almost 3 years and they are still fine. And in this video I will talk you through the placement on the cake part.
Hello dear chef Anna Thanks for great video It really worked for me and I made very beautiful wild rose, Can I send pictures of my wafer paper rose for you??
I use Saracino 0.27mm wafer paper, but you can buy Oasis supplies wafer paper from Amazon or any other brand. If you are making "fantasy" flowers - it does not matter much.
Would you pls comment what should we do to prevent melting wafer paper flower melting on our buttercream cakes? You said but I didn’t understand. Kindly asking you to write down then i can translate it and use it. Thanks indeed for your videos. They are really useful for us. 🌹🌹🌹🌹

Thank you so much 🤗Blessings 🙌🏽💕🦋
You are so welcome
So easy and beautiful! Love your tutorials! ❤️

This is easier to make than sugar flower! I wonder if you can use a veiner after coloring?

Wafer paper is so much lighter to work with and it ships beautifully. I have a video on my page about packing wafer paper flowers for shipping
@@floreacakes thank you so much !! I will get the paper etc… and give it a try . Gumpaste flowers are lovely but wafer is translucent
Thank you for the video.
Can you refrigerate a cake with wafer flowers on it? Or is it better to place the wafer flowers on the cake when ready to present it?
Yes you can! Check other videos on my channels - I have a few tutorials on how to do that safely
Thank you for this amazing tutorial! I can’t wait to try these. Would you recommend wrapping the wire in green floral tape before inserting into a cake to look more realistic? Or are they normally left white to blend in with the cake?
Thank you! It is a personal preference, I would use white floral tape to make it less noticeable.
Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. What if I don't have glycerin on hand?
You can use just water, but it might take you longer to practice
how would you do leaves? I am making this as the top of a cake
I have a few tutorials on my channel on how to make different foliage using wafer paper
Do you have a more detailed instructions on how to coat the bottoms of the flowers for when using the wafer paper with buttercream?
Hey! I do have a step by step video on how to do that here: ua-cam.com/video/vPRYZMzMpNk/v-deo.html
Can I use gumpaste instead of using candy melts or cocoa butter for my wafer paper flower?
Please let me know, if you try!

Speechless 🤐. Which dry colour u r using? Is it dry chocolate colour?
I use airbrush colors for this flower. But for powder colors - I use The Sugar Art petal dusts

I use Oasis Supply amzn.to/3cpcHDL

Анастасия ваши цветы из рисовой бумаги?
Hi Anna, is there a preferred brand of water paper or thickness? Thank you so much for your tutorials ☺️
I use Saracino 0.27mm wafer paper, but you can buy Oasis supplies wafer paper from Amazon or any other brand. If you are making "fantasy" flowers - it does not matter much.
@@floreacakes thank you very much ☺️ I will be making my niece’s wedding cake in September and I’m using a lot of your flowers for the arrangement ❤️

Whats is thé thicking of this wafer paper, !! Is 0.3mm or 0,6mm??
I use 0.27mm for this flowers
I like to watch the live broadcast, but it is very early. It will be 5 in the morning. I will watch the replay
My petals are really floppy. Did I use to much glycerin? I live in the desert, so it’s very dry here.
If you are in a desert and it is dry, yes, try using less glycerin than.
Can you tell me is this edible to eat.
Can i use edible glue instead of wafer paper Glue?
Yes, but I find that wafer paper glue works better and softens petals just enough to assemble. You can use just water instead of wafer paper glue too
Thank you white
my wafer paper flower collapses at room temp. what to do? Thank you
What is your humidity? Did you let your petals fully dry before assembly?
@@floreacakes It’s around 30°C here. I didn’t fully dry my wafer paper 😅 That’s why it shrank when it got fully dried.
Hi, im so grateful with you, this tutorials are so awesome, I loved the way you teach. I will be trying attempt to do this..wish me luck 😁!!! One question...how long you let the petal to dry after paint? One again thanks and blessings ..from puertorican living in Texas.
You can do it! Depends on your humidity and temperature. From 2 minutes up to 20 minutes. You will know when it's dry and ready to assemble!
Is it edible??????
Yes! Wafer Paper is edible
🥰❤👍
