Just one suggestion for ppl planning to visit, I would suggest ppl to buy 1.5 litre water in Alfamart/indomaret which would cost you 6000 idr. We travelled bali this week and we purchased water from these marts , they look like more or reliance smart what we have in India

You have to mix all those n eat .. there must a sauce with nasi camphor
1. You can ask for the food to be made spicy on their spice scale, but be careful as Asian food can get even spicer than Indian.
2. What you had was probably pork cracklings and not papad. Fried pork rind is very popular in far south east Asia.
We asked to make it spicy but in canggu & seminyak they prepare food as per westerners taste buds. That was rice cracklings we confirmed with the chef, hence called it papad 😅

We did not face any problem in Seminyak, Nusa Dua and Nusa Lembongan. But in ubud no vendor was providing two wheeler without international driving license. And if traffic police stops you then fine is huge.

Do you guys book hotel stays online or by going at the property?
Because I am worried about booking online hotels, is it safe or not .
Because in india the hotels owner sometimes not provide the room even if booking is confirmed, this happened with me once I booked hotel by agoda for udaipur.
Can this also happen in Bali, please correct me.

A lot of plant based food in restaurants tastes bland and costly. If you want tasty, cheap and still healthy go to 'warungs' and eat gado-gado or martabak (vegan) approved by many foreign tourist.
When you hire a bike what are documents to be deposited.Can u use Indian DL in Indonesia

You have to share scanned copy of passport and details of your stay. In canggu and seminyak no one stopped us but in Ubud, traffic police are there in most of the places and they were asking for international driving license.

I follow your blogs regularly.
We stayed in Ramada, Seminyak from 11th - 14th April 2023 and our experience during the stay was not so good.
Worst part is the water clogging near entrance even in an hour rain which gives you a lot of trouble.
Also they don’t allow Grab cab for pickup.
So I will not recommend this hotel.
Ohhh. We did not had any such issue because taxi came to pick us up right at the gate. But if things have changed then that’s really bad.

No. You need visa to apply for international driving license and for bali at that time only had visa on arrival.
