I really want to see what the new RS trim, and what MY 2019 offers. I'm not too excited about the cvt, replacing the 6 spd. I would have preferred the new 9 spd. Why spend all that time co-developing the 9 spd, if they are not going to apply it to most/all fwd vehicles. In a business sense having just the 9 spd would help with the development cost. While not having to worry about the 6 spd, 8 spd, cvt, and what ever other transmission that they have at their disposal for the fwd vehicles.
So all show and no go. It looked like it could have a big V8 under the bonnet with the aggressive exterior, didn't expect it to have a tiny pathetic 4 cylinder.. Imagine being in your big mean-looking redline and you get humiliated by a Golf GTi in a drag race.

it’s crazy but they do have a non turbo 2.4 liter that makes around 160 hp it’s in my Malibu it’s a 2011 lol

Unfortunately lots of manufactures are moving toward small displacement engines to meet EPA requirements.
