This is a truly beautiful story about a company that has had enormous direct and indirect influence on tens of millions of Americans. I hope this video is just the start of a longer, much more in-depth look at how Verdin Company has contributed to America for the past 180 year. There must be so many interesting, stimulating, and untold stories involving Verdin bells...one just has to do a little digging and following of facts.
Meanwhile, if viewers are interested in a discussion of British and Scottish church bells mixed with crime fiction, consider reading "The Nine Tailors" by the late Dorothy L. Sayers. Published in 1934, the writing style may seem a little "different", but even so, this book is quite an interesting read.
