There are a whole slew of personalities with different temperaments and skill level that do just fine. You don't have to quit anything just because you're no longer at the top 0.1%.

DL is playing soloque consistently at a high level, even if its not the same level of play as pro and scriming, it keeps you sharp (unlike perma smurfing *cough* TF Blade, Scrubnoob, Zwag ect.) I dont see DL becoming BAD anytime soon, probably not RANK 1 but, not a bad player either.

i've been there before. I was high diamond for like 3 seasons and then left the game for awhile. When i came back even tho my game knowledge was still there i lost all mechanical senses and from there i just lost every bit of passion i had for league and now i'm playing tft instead
I left the game for 8 months. Same happend, lost my skill from high diamond/low master im now stuck in platinum, but that actually makes me more hungry to get back to atleast my previous level.

Dom sorta did the same thing he just got tired of playing the game because the game is now so team based that its impossible to even attempt to solo carry no matter who you play, you could get a penta and still have 3 other people alive on your team but your teammates being a combined 9 and 25 won't be able to do anything objective wise because all the waves are pushed in and for some reason they rather clear the enemies camps than do baron, if you have 2 lanes just getting massively snowballed even after ganking and getting them ahead early you might as well go next because there is nothing you can do.

this is the type of mentality Riot should be promoting for ranked. its not fun unless your on top. so everyone should be playing and try to playing as if they are on top. but riot and redditards would rather over saturate ranked with casuals because "its just a game hnng you should be free to play however you like" . If you like top lane, its ok if you go ignite exhaust darius 80 games in a row in ranked and be bronze 2, its ok. Why would anyone want to tryhard in ranked if the ladder is filled with so many people who don't give a fuck? league needs more queues or wtv fields of play so that they can actually promote proper tryharding and improvement in western culture or else NA will be group stage region forever. play like asians or don't play competitively.
