I listen to your videos while driving to work a lot (it's a 40 minute drive) and I have gotten so much inspiration from you! I am in the process of using parts of my summer vacation to organize my classroom cabinets similar to yours for next year, and your classroom tour is what is sparked my motivation for better organization. :) Rock out the end of the school year with your kids! Michelle, you need to get a Xyron machine! I just got one and I’m in love! You can use it to turn your printables into laminated stickers or magnets. It’s seriously awesome and I’m not sure why I waited so long to get one.

I will add that I am willing to bet that when you and the team teacher both did the escape rooms at the same time
it probably helped make it more enjoyable for the fact that there was no anxiety happening
like their class is doing something awesome that we have to wait to do .
Both of you teachers allowed your students in both of your classrooms to get all of their excitement out at the same time

So fun! A couple of weeks ago I got a freebie escape room to try from the same seller. I can't wait to try it with my first graders next year (already on summer break)! I'm going to try whole group first to see how we handle it.

I did an escape room with my fifth graders when I was student teaching and they loved it! I think it was the same seller. Definitely planning on purchasing one when I get my own classroom.

I have this exact escape room from last year but did not have time to use it. I now teach 3rd grade so I hope I can find it for the current grade level I teach. My classroom is also a pirate theme decor. Thank you for the feedback and insight on the product!
I love the sport project idea!! I’m in 6th grade and I rlly want to be a teacher at this point in my life. Although I’m not rlly interested in math, it is still a great way to teach kids about how the business world works! Thank you for teaching those who are or are interested in teaching!!

The escape room looks like so much fun! I wanted to do it in my class but my room wasn't big enough for it :( luckily were moving to a new building next year so hopefully I have more space and can do more hands on activities with my kids :).

My friends son who I baby sit all the time he’s just ending kindergarten now and he is at end of second grade level he’s so smart and loves learning. This gives me some fun ideas for when I baby sit him 😍😍
I am a fifth grade student in North Carolina and we did Digital breakouts and they were so fun
I think it would be very cute if you turned your green wall into a “growth” wall. You could measure each student at the beginning of the year and remeasure at the end of each quarter or the end of the year to see how much they’ve grown. It would be cute on the green wall if you put grass and butterflies and birds and things and maybe some words about growing? I think it would be a nice touch and a good use for the green wall

Math escape room logic in my class: has door open but says" try to escape!"
I buy the Neenah cardstock on Amazon. I will get 250 sheets for under $10. You have to keep your eyes peeled for it though.

Hey Michelle! Can you talk a little bit about how you handle missing work from students? I know you stay on them about getting it to you, but do you have any particular policies? Also, I find that it really gets me off track and frustrated if a student hasn’t turned work into me from a month or so ago and then want me to reteach it. I’m just wondering how you keep it manageable. Thanks!
