Never was a fan of Ubisoft's new RPG direction for Assassin's Creed but you'd be a fool to deny that they're still the best when it comes to recreating historic locations and cities.
In the difficulty settings you can tweak the variables to have realistic combat without regard for the rpg stats. I was able to have 1 or 2 hit kills and deaths, so the game felt very immersive.
Ubisoft might not make worlds to seem a lot alive of missions and that things, but yet, they make realistic worlds and locations according to the time in the game, and they put very good sounds like when stepping on wood or wet floor, animals from night, etc.
I know those period are going to be hard and scary, but the places are heart warming and feels like paradise... Its like im dreaming when playing this game, too beautiful especially when 'the first departure' is playing in the background i almost cried many times

When you think about it, this is a world 400 years after the fall of the Roman Empire. They are living in the ruins of a greater civilization and it will take another 600 years for science and art and literature to re-emerge in the Renaissance...
these people are lost to time. So many histories and even popular conception today jump from the fall of the western roman empire right to the renaissance and label the 1000 years in between as the dark ages. But these were people just like you and I with dreams and ideas and stories and wants and regrets and families and friends. Weird to think about
this is a seriously outdated take. Science, art and literature were alive and well even in the 'dark ages', and there will always be culture and progress so long as human civilisation is functioning. They might not be the milestones you were looking for, but there's absolutely a lot done and developed during the 'dark ages'.
@@Muircetach It's called "the dark age" for a reason. Medieval fanboys trying to debunk it are simply dellusionnal and people like you obviously don't understand what the "Renaissance" is. When Constantinople fell, lost Greek and Roman knowledge was reintroduced to the West, launching the Renaissance era.
That Renaissance was greatly helped by medieval high civilizations like the Arabs, Persian thinkers of these times who among other contributions helped transmit the Greek highest knowledge. A golden age took place in Andalusia, before every Jew and Arab was kicked out of Spain/Europe unless forcibly converting to Christianity. The Christian civilization then claimed the exclusive responsability of that heritage, as many thinkers continue today too.
Is this was Paris used to look like? That is so interesting. It looks interesting but I am glad I don't live in the medieval times because it looks cold.

I've never really liked the gameplay of Assassin Creed whether stealth or RPG, but Its open worlds have always stuck out to me as ones I would want to explore.
I'd love it if you added a reshade mod that sharpened things to get rid of the obnoxious blur, glare and lack of visual clarity that's in AC Valhalla. Even in 4K. There's too much blur. What did they do to this game? The lighting also looks off and unnatural.
Hello, nice to meet you. I have seen your video and was very impressed with it. I would like to ask you if I could use a part of your video (about 30-40 seconds) as material for my TikTok video. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I would appreciate your consideration. Thank you in advance.
The Reconquista would be such an interesting setting. Maybe during the 15th century, during the war between the Spanish and the last Moorish emirate of Granada. You can explore both the Spanish and the Moorish cities and admire the difference in architecture, fashion and culture. It would be so cool and with a lot of narrative potential.
Actual carolingian helmets?? damn when i saw that stupid fantasy axe i didnt expect much. I wish they gave the main characters respect to history like they do the npcs
can someone tell me how to just walk like this? i have this on pc, and all i ever do is run, or speed run. i can't find anything online on how to just walk.
Not sure why there wasnt outrage with the dlc on this one. Yeah, jesus the mexican viking wasnt historically accurate but we got to slaughter bad guys listening to mariachi and him shouting aye caruuuuumbaaaaaaaa! Good stuff i thought, but where was the outrage?
The last game I enjoyed and admired from Ubisoft. Never thought this would be the end of assassins creed. Shadows debacle is the nail in the coffin for me. So long AC, you’ll be missed for sure.

This is so unique and refreshing, because not too many of us think about 9th century France too regularly.😺
