Dear Victor, I apologize if I am intruding, I asked a question in another video but you didn't answer. I have another question, I dont fully understand the timeline here. If the operation is day 1, can the lengthening be done in 2 months (6 cm)? And that would be day 60? Or 65 (since you mention 5 days post op of no lengthening). My question here, is at day 65 can I walk normally and travel back home by plane and act normally around people without arousing remarks (no cane or limping) for the next 8 months? And after 12 months for the rod removal, can I also walk right away or does that take days or weeks as well? Thank you again ever so much and I hope you have the time to reply to this and my previous question as I am terrified of this step and you are the only person that is helping me through this
Sorry about that. So the answer is dependant on how much you want in terms in length. Yeah you can walk right away after rod removal but should have support in case.
Hey vic at distraction phase like 10:40 aprox you said that you will be all day stretch and home stretch.. like not doing other thing, but you mean with the precice nail or any weight bearing nail? For my job I cannot work from my house.. I can be out of office about 3 weeks, that means that is imposible?
12:14. I don't understand the device removal phase? When I get my Stryder nails, after how many months post-op should I expect the nails to be removed?
@@Cyborg4Life That's good to know! Also, do you think SARMS and PEDS would speed up the consolidation phase? UFC fighters use them all the time to recover from nasty leg injuries and worse

@@Cyborg4Life Good. I lengthened 2.5 inches, also on tibia due to discrepancy like you. I never had issues with knee ROM or pain before, during or after the process, but my ankle still hurts and is weak. Before surgery it already had limited ROM, especially on dorsiflexion, so it was fused/immobilized throughout the entire distraction phase + 1 month (5 months total) so you can imagine lengthening plus that lack of motion for so long. Was your ankle fused/fixated? Not sure if you've mentioned before. Anyway the ankle is "free" since August and still hurts but slowly getting better. I kind of walk normally now. I've done some light hiking and road cycling, next is getting back to mountain biking.
@@MigsMTB wow 2.5inches you did quite a bit more than me! So although I didn't have my ankle fused like you I did lose ROM in dorsiflexion and it did hurt and was very stiff getting back on my feet. I didn't walk normally for about 6 weeks post consolidation due to that so I think you're right on track in fact probably faster. That's awesome you're able to do some light cycling and hiking which shows recovery is going very well for you. Did you get stryde done?
@@Cyborg4Life Yes, the Stryde with Pailey. Plus I weigh 145lbs so that helped lol. I could "walk normally" (no ankle movement obviously) through the entire process. That is definitely an advantage. How long would you say it took your ankle to stop hurting?
@@MigsMTB Nice yeah you were in good hands with him and Stryde. I think it took about 3 months to fully stop. Because once I regained the ROM needed about 2 months it took about 1 month after to be pain free and less stiffness in morning or after sitting for long periods. The tibia seems to be the harder limb due to 2 joints (knee and ankle) to rehab...ankle being hardest
I'm not too familiar with that many arm lengthening cases besides those who've done it for discrepancy. I assume it would be similar to leg lengthening but can't say for sure. Gradual patience and at least 5-6 months is probably a good bet

I've had an increasing LLD since 2008, its now over 21mm. causing pelvic rotation and bilateral OA. Doctor still doesn't want to help me. I used to be athletic. I haven't jogged since 2015. I'm only 30. I feel.like I'm trapped in a 80+ year old body. They say: "It's to risky." but then when you're 80 and need surgery they'll say: "Well, you might not make it out." I don't know. Not how I expected things to go.

For example I do: 5cm or 6cm tiibia or 5cm tibia and 3cm femur in these two hypotheses how long to walk again normally if everything goes well? And one last question, I don't know if it would really hinder me from having surgery, which is if I have this type of problem (Pelvic tilt), couldn't I have the surgery? Hi victor, what are the best measurments the doctors and anestheologists should take to prevent fat embolism? I read pretty scary stuff about this complication during first days after surgery. What type of steroids might prevent this? Any other advice?
They're pretty good at taking all sorts of precautions and the chances of those things happening with a good medical team is very low. They can happen but not very likely. They have effective techniques the most important is getting you up and moving around within a few hours post-surgery #bloodflow
Hi, my left leg is 2.5cm shorter than right leg, i am planning to go for surgery because my pelvis is tilting as age is growing, is it advisable to go surgery for such short deformity?
Hey I’m 16 and I am learning this because I honestly I know I will do this it is something I want and im going to do it after I am done growing which probably 20 or 22 I’ll do it and I’m 5’4” which I want to do 2.5” on my fibia and 2.5” on my femur and I want to know how much bread 🍞 ima have to rack up and man I love this because I thought it was a very bad thing that will leave you not walking but nvm but plz tell me man I need to know what I am looking to spend. And in total how much time this will take as well.
Glad to hear you found out about it at the right time. Now you can plan if you want to do it after you done growing. I think the average in the US is about $85k and in other parts of world about $60k. So you have a good amount of time to plan everything out not to mention hopefully advancements would be made. Time will tell
another question will it reduce my athletic ability whatever i do ? + i am an athlete and have pretty good muscles in my legs and why i cant do lon on femur? and if i do femur lls will it reduce my athletic ability ? and can i do anything to minimize the chances of this happening?
When you get LL done, you are undergoing surgery and thus you won't be the same for at least some time (at least 2 years post-op). There's always a possibility that when you lengthen to the max you could decrease your athleticism from where it is pre-op. Lengthening more conservatively below your max reserve should allow for a much easier recovery and regain your full athleticism. Rehab and recovery will be a big factor and can dictate how much you get back as well
After the limb lengthening of 6cm when do they take the rod out of your legs ? If you’re in a job like cruise ship can you get back to it post recovery of a year? Post recovery do you get a normal X-rays or is there differences rather then the length ?
Yeah they take the rod out about 1-1.5 years after. You can get recovery in a year yes with a good work ethic. Nope, shouldn't be anything different besides length if surgeon aligned bones properly and there were no structural deformities which is very rare in cosmetic procedures.
Hey i talked to the turkish doctor cybor4life and he said he would be down to an interview with you on it, he just wants you to write to him if you want i could give him Your number because i want to get the procedure there but I really wsnt to know as much as possible about them before i do
Hey Vic, bro your videos are pretty informative. Thank you for all the knowledge sharing. Its been sometime that i am at researching phase and it may still take a while to go with the plan as saving up money for undergoing Precise 2 (Femur). I am looking for a surgeon probably in India and i have seen your videos to narrow down the same, but also looking for more options (experienced surgeons/post op stay and process wise) or probably taking more time as i have to manage office work Post-Op and i am looking for 8 cms gain as currently at 164.6 cms at 32 yrs old. I am considering to get my vitals checked in the research phase and scans/X-ray done before hand to ensure i will be at my best for the surgery even it takes another year to undergo one. My tibia's are pretty strong so honestly do not want to mess with those, and my femur's seems to be tad short (proportionaly). I have a query for you regarding my leg strength and overall physique as i am into fitness and prefer to work out 6 days a week apart from my IT work (I am 63 kgs and easily do around 2.5 times lifting of my weight for heavy compound movements; somedays cycling, cardio and basic MMA). I have observed that i get sore lowerback & legs including sciatica pain for 2-3 days post heavy deadlifts/squats (may be bad posture), but it only happened to me 3-4 times in last 6-7 years so i am concerned about that. Also, what about my running and kick strength (hitting a gym bag), would it be the same after few months of rod removal? Any stretches or link that you can share which one should do prior to be ready for surgery would be helpful or other piece of advice for people like me. Sorry for too many words,,lol, and thanks again, stay safe!!
Hey there, so you'd have to allow more time to heal so yeah running wouldn't be 100% for about 18 months post rod removal. ua-cam.com/video/EUrJjClu2qo/v-deo.html is a good place to start once you have surgery and ua-cam.com/video/crm3KytnFTE/v-deo.html is good pre-surgery
@@muhammadarham1447 To heal, I mean it would take roughly the same time as one to heal the bones but your rehab to normalize could take a few months longer as regaining ROM would be more challenging if done at same time based on what I know
To lose 2 years of your life being largely immobile for 2 inches of height .. lol doesn’t seem justified but I guess really depends on the person and their goals, environment, and patience. Can’t imagine much socialization being taken place either for 2 years while going from the surgery to full recovery. There’s a social stigma around doing things like this. Hey man I would like to know if i was to lengthen femur and tibia, would I have to pay double the price instead of just femur?
Check out the different doctor’s websites. Most offer a slight discount if you pay for both at the same time and get the surgeries a few weeks apart.
@@rickc.3552 Oh thanks didn't know that👌
What is like the total time period for tibia and femur? 1-2 years to normal?
About 2 years yes
Hi victor, what are the best measurments the doctors and anestheologists should take to prevent fat embolism? I read pretty scary stuff about this complication during first days after surgery. What type of steroids might prevent this? Any other advice?
They're pretty good at taking all sorts of precautions and the chances of those things happening with a good medical team is very low. They can happen but not very likely. They have effective techniques the most important is getting you up and moving around within a few hours post-surgery #bloodflow
Bro ,which nail is better between precise and stryde
Stryde if your bone size can handle it
Hi, my left leg is 2.5cm shorter than right leg, i am planning to go for surgery because my pelvis is tilting as age is growing, is it advisable to go surgery for such short deformity?
Yes it could be worth it. Anything over a certain amount like 2cm can result in some issues of the hip and back
@@Cyborg4Life Thank you😀
Hey I’m 16 and I am learning this because I honestly I know I will do this it is something I want and im going to do it after I am done growing which probably 20 or 22 I’ll do it and I’m 5’4” which I want to do 2.5” on my fibia and 2.5” on my femur and I want to know how much bread 🍞 ima have to rack up and man I love this because I thought it was a very bad thing that will leave you not walking but nvm but plz tell me man I need to know what I am looking to spend.
Im too interested.. Why am i here at 3am watching these videos
Hey, what's your height...???
It's pretty darn close to 5'9ish in the morning but I just list my bodybuilding height as 5'8 so I can win the lightweight class ; )
research phase got a 9+ cm difference :(
Dang sorry to hear that! If you have any questions feel free to email directly as I'm especially empathetic for LLD patients
What age is perfect to have limb lengthening surgery?
as early as possible but usually after done growing and so probably early to mid-twenties
@@Cyborg4Life Thanks man have a good day

BRO I must say this u look like tyler1
Lol I've gotten that a few times now
tyler1 is victors evil twin
Heyyyyy good vedio
Is it okay to increase 3.5 in femur and tibia together
You mean at same time? It's been done before although usually recommended to separate the procedures
Cyborg 4 Life yes i mean at the same time and how much time it take
@@muhammadarham1447 To heal, I mean it would take roughly the same time as one to heal the bones but your rehab to normalize could take a few months longer as regaining ROM would be more challenging if done at same time based on what I know
Cyborg 4 Life thanks 😊 bro
INDIA❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
To lose 2 years of your life being largely immobile for 2 inches of height .. lol doesn’t seem justified but I guess really depends on the person and their goals, environment, and patience. Can’t imagine much socialization being taken place either for 2 years while going from the surgery to full recovery. There’s a social stigma around doing things like this. Fake boobs is a fair metaphor.
Yeah it's a bizarre procedure but based on patients I spoken to many are very happy so I suppose that's what matters
is that all too late for a guy in his 40s?
No
This is so fucked up... I can't believe there's actually people who do this surgery.
