This video marks the third installment in a series of interviews featuring significant individuals in my life. These conversations are designed to be both casual and enjoyable, while also aiming to inspire individuals to make their lives count for the gospel.
In this particular interview, I had the pleasure of speaking with my dear friend Linda McCrary. As you'll discover in the video, she has had the privilege of singing alongside iconic figures such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, and Disney. However, she realized that her ultimate purpose and calling were centered around being a worshiper of the Most High God. Our discussion led to the sharing of numerous stories and essential life lessons. It is my sincere hope and belief that these 23 minutes spent traversing the streets and freeways of Los Angeles will prove to be an encouraging and inspiring experience for many of you.
    - Tommy Walker
P.S. Kindly share your thoughts in the comments on how we can enhance these "Walkin' with Walker" interviews even further.

Wow. I didn't expect such a powerful, uplifting chat. I prayed to please hear some Word to help me as I sit with eye treatments. I've had so much come against me, with people, while battling to push forward to God's calling. God has repeatedly given me Words of hope & promise, like the story of Sarah in Scripture, blessed as an older person, while living a Job life. I've had so much go wrong, like returning to school/ art college, & bullied while there, which left me set back once again, as I left the school with a lot of time lost toward working on an art portfolio/ initial art show, with my time instead spent dealing with non-stop severely life disrupting attacks, rather than my art. I'm praying for family as you spoke of. God keeps showing me to have faith, to stay in joy, & I was really battling for it. And there is so much persecution as you interact with people in the art world, in family, etc, if you are a Christian, from all directions. A lot of isolation. My experience with this talk was deep, true, real, heartfelt. I felt encouraged to keep pressing toward fulfilling the miracle calling I've heard to be an artist, when, on my own, I would have no hope for anything... but God has given me hope. Thanks for being part of that today. Praise the Lord Jesus. My favorite songs in the whole world are Tommy Walker + Linda McCrary songs. Yall rock.

Tommy and Linda, I met you at the Cove when you and others led a worship leader conference. My husband had recently unexpectedly died, and I was in deep grief. My soul was so weary. You and your songs touched my heart. Through your ministry, I was able to praise through grief. Unburden my heart. Experience some amount of joy in God’s presence. Thank you for your ministry together. Thanks you for modeling joy through suffering. And what it looks like to minister together.

Great chat while driving! I'd like to hear her talk about how it was to sing on some Keith Green records. The way he sang and songs he wrote, as well as his story impact me to this day.

Tommy: Your comment about going deep into sorrow and well as joy, is in concert with something I heard John Eldredge and his son Sam, talking about. They learned of a study that showed that the depth to which someone is able to know and share grief, was the degree to which they were able to know and share joy. I've really been thinking about that! Jesus, help me not to run from deep grief!
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." (Rom. 8:17)

At this moment I’m dealing with a Mom with dementia, death of a family member, and a prodigal son. You guys touched me in so many ways with this video. I had the pleasure of being present during the Breakthrough recording at Saddleback, and hearing Linda sing There Is a Place” live. What a blessing you guys have been to me through the years.

Okay I've got to leave one more comment, and that is a memory of mine after meeting Linda's mom in church for the first time. I think Linda introduced me to her and we talked briefly. As we said goodbye to each other she said these words to me, "I'll see you again." It took me a bit to realize that she was speaking of Eternity. Her words remain with me today and I have said the same to people myself at times. What a blessed legacy her motherly prayers have left behind in Linda and many others.

Linda McCrary is one of the most soulful voices in any genre. Love all her stuff with Tommy Walker. At the very top of my Linda McCrary playlist is Immanuel (linked below) which she did on Eric Persings offertory. This is the most moving version on this hymn in the history of mankind😊.

When I get to Heaven I just pray I see these two there. I will run up and throw my arms around them both telling them how much they influenced me as a worshiper and musician. There are no words I can utter now. Beautiful friends. God is so good to build friendships like theirs.

PTL for you guys! I've been a Worship Leader/Pastor since I was 16, I'm 48 at the time of this video. I started a church in 2020 when all the other churches were closing, we opened! I will always remember attending a special worship conference at Christian Assembly years ago and it profoundly marked my life. Tommy, your songs have brought so much encouragement to me over the years. When my wife and I were struggling with barreness and seeking God for a child for many years your songs really helped me connect with God. In 2008 my dear step mom discovered she had pancreatic cancer and I found myself stepping up to lead the congregation in worship and singing about the power of God, but yet struggling with the "why?" I just determined in my heart and soul to stand strong in the Lord, and I would sing, "When I Don't Know What to Do, I lift my hands" tears are falling right now as I remember the oil of my worship being poured out with that wonderful song you wrote! The people would erupt in glorious praise in the house! In April of that year we found out we were pregnant and that baby would arrive at the years end, my mama passed on Dec 7th while singing her favorite song, "The Power of Your Love" surrounded by family and church family. Worship ushered my mom to heaven and welcomed our baby to earth! We now have three kids and they are growing too fast. Glory to God! You taught me how to worship through your ministry and I loved watching you let Linda work with the vocals and what a joy it is to see you guys worship together! Brother and Sister please hear me, only Jesus and the Father in heaven could ever reward you for what you have done for the Church in this generation. Thank you so very much! The best is yet to come!
