- "Vitiligo is a long-term problem in which growing patches of skin lose their color. It can affect people of any age, gender, or ethnic group. Vitiligo can affect people of any age, gender, or ethnicity. There is no cure, and it is usually a lifelong condition. Vitiligo is a skin condition in which patches of skin loses their color. The only symptom of vitiligo is the appearance of flat white spots or patches on the skin. The first white spot that becomes noticeable is often in an area that tends to be exposed to the sun.
The effects of vitiligo vary between people. Some people may have only a handful of white dots that develop no further, while others develop larger white patches that join together and affect larger areas of skin.
There are two types of vitiligo, non-segmental and segmental.

I have stable vitiligo on my lips since last 2 years, which surgery is best as my upper middle of the lip has 30% white spot.

@@veerasamysivan2036 36 age now, it started a couple of yeara back on little at lower lip and in the middle of upper lip, however i started taking treatment of excimer laser for couple of months and by the grace of God lower lip got repigmentation but upper lip has no much result. Whats you line of treatment. Suggest me any info if you have.
@@aneespasha007 I'm just 23, I also have vitiligo on my lower lips for the past 2 to 3 years, like a small patch. My father also have it, he got his first vitiligo above 40 age. Now he is 50. It fully spread on my father's leg front side. And some hand areas. Is there any good treatment for this..

I am highly obliged to Dr Iyhere for serving and saving people like me and many others. I had a condition that required me to cover my body completely because I didn't want to hear the bad and awful things people would say if the white patches becomes visible.
