They lie to themselves, that’s what is all about, “plus size” instead of “fucking fat” they get some diet soda and think it means they’re being healthy, and then they eat some salad after that they eat 14 cheeseburgers and say oh well I ate a salad I’m being healthy!
As a 6'2" 380lb man, everything said from ymh is truth. I lost 50 lbs before my trip so I could fit in the damn airplane seat. Maybe by the next trip, I won't have to worry about breaking chairs. Life goals.
Keep at it brudder! Took me about 2 years to go from 300+ to 170 at 6’1. Nothing happens overnight. Ups and downs happen just focus on what you’ve lost.
Sounds nice right about now. I’m glad I don’t throw back a handful of those before I brush my teeth anymore but it does sound like fun. Congrats on sobriety.
Back in December I went on Trip to Universal Studios and at 340lbs I could not ride most of the rides as I did not fit, or was afraid to find out after waiting in line. I first felt similar to her that "why can't they make this fit all sizes" Then I had an honest conversation with myself that its not them its just me and I need to make a change. Started Weight loss on 2/1 and currently 281. Its diet and exercise. You can not buy discipline. still long way to go but I know next time I go to the park I will fit like a normal person.
We've forgotten what hunger feels like. I got up to 350 lbs. before I figured out what was going on for me. I thought that if I was thinking about food, that meant I must be hungry. If a piece of chocolate cake sounds tasty but a raw carrot doesn't, you're not hungry, your bored.
There are also FAR too many people making excuses and blaming it on "genetics" or "a result of OTHER health issues" (meanwhile the "other" health issues could ALSO be cleared up by eating better... ). And you aren't predetermined due to genetics. Your environment and actions play a much bigger role.
Right? The people who are sensitive simply do not realize that people just want others to be happy.and healthy even if we don't know them. Not shaming or anything. I rather have tough love than false encouragement that could potentially kill someone. Hope you're doing well man.
I work in aviation, and when it comes to aircraft, the MGTOW (maximum gross take-off weight, not that other thing red pillers talk about, lol) is a hard number. There is no deviating from it. That number cannot be exceeded, so when it comes to fuel needed, plus reserve in case of a delay or emergency, luggage, and passenger/crew weight, there is a limit, and that limit doesn't care about feelings or politics. So when a person weighs 380 lbs, they are literally taking up the weight for 2 people. On a larger plane, that is usually okay, but on a smaller plane it isn't. A private jet that holds 9 people can now only hold 8 sometimes 7. Depending on the distance, a person that weighs 380 pounds may need a fuel stop because they cannot take on as much fuel as they need to in order to go nonstop, so now that passenger is costing the flight typically thousands of dollars more when you consider the extra fuel and the fees that accumulate for stopping at another airport. There is an associated cost for flying at that weight. To expect to pass that cost onto others is a little entitled.
As a recovering alcoholic with a few years sobriety, I always felt discriminated against. They should’ve known I was gonna pass out and piss myself on the plane and planned for it. Restaurants should hire alcohol positive consultants for this stuff.
I always found it outrageous that I'll be charged for luggage weight when I'm 170lbs and the person behind me is 300+lbs. It literally makes no f*ucking sense!
I do think there is an argument to be made that the average person is getting bigger while plane seats are being made smaller. But at some point it becomes an individual issue
Same! I went from 450 pounds down to 165 pounds. Never and I think it was anyone else’s fault or responsibility but my own nor is there responsibility to accommodate me that is all on me! if I need a special accommodation for some thing, then I’m bringing something with me so I don’t have to ask anyone if that is even possible if it’s not then I’m not going. I’m not gonna embarrass myself like that. Now I don’t have to worry about it! 😅
relevant story time: I went on a cruise to Jamacia once. Normally I would think it's lame but they had one thing I wanted to do. My grandparents went to Jamaica like 20 years before and had a VHS of them climbing this waterfall. I thought that was awesome as a kid and I watched the video like 100 times so I wanted to go and do that. This waterfall isn't really a traditional waterfall but more like a river/waterfall. It's called Dunn's river falls if you wanna look it up. Anyway, after a week of sitting on a boat we finally get to Jamaica so I can do the waterfall river thing. For some fucking reason to go up the waterfall you all have to hold hands in a line so no one falls in the water or gets hurt. One of the people I had to hold hands with is a woman who was EASILY 500 pounds. So as you can imagine literally 10 minutes into walking up this river we get to a point where she's tired and can't make it up the rocks so I have to try my best and drag all 500 pounds of her ass up these rocks. My entire trip was ruined because of it. The only reason I wanted to come was to do this river waterfall thing and now it's become a genuine fight for my life to be able to drag this bitch up a fuck ton of giant rocks. So yes with that experience I would say weight limits are a good thing for "excursions."
😂😂😂😂😂 this gave me a good hard laugh.. I am from Jamaica and know where you are talking about. I can see how something like that would spoil your experience 😂😂😂 so sorry
I’m sorry this happened to you, but the way you recounted it is absolutely hilarious. I was envisioning it with your vivid explanation and it’s so funny. 😂😂😂
That would require acknowledging the situation and the responsibility of it. Most idiots are doing the opposite, ignoring how things got the way they are, and omit any reasons to change - Girl Power!
@@WholeWhiteBaby I don’t think that’s true. I feel like a small minority of obese people are like this lady whereas the majority, much like myself, feel shame and blame ourselves for being in this shape.

Wait a minute.. if shes so proud of being "plus sized" then why is it embarrassing to ask for the seat belt extender? I wouldve thought shed joyfully and proudly announce it to the entire plane that she needs one 😂
I struggled with my weight, my entire life… And you guys are completely right… There’s no way that she is actually happy with being the size that she is… Yes, food is an addiction and people use that as a coping mechanism… I know I did… in no way am I saying that we all need to have washboard abs… But we definitely need to be at a place where we are healthy and were we can go places and not have to worry about whether or not we fit… my turning point was when I didn’t fit in a ride at an amusement park… I was mortified when they asked me to get off… for my safety… THAT was the moment that I decided that I am not going to be fat anymore
Yes, PLEASE make it REQUIRED to request a seat belt extender when booking a ticket. And then update the seat map with those requests, so everyone knows where these massive people are parked throughout the airplane, and they can make sure and not book their seats next to them.
I agree. But what happens if they don't?? The airlines are not going to kick them off the plane, so you are just forced to share half your seat with a morbidly obese person. I don't know what would happen in this situation if the plane was full and there was no other seats available. I mean you wouldn't be able to put your seat belt on because the day person next to you is taking up half your seat l, that you paid for. I'm my world I would put the fat person in a cage and make them go in the hold with all the other animals.
how about step on a treadmil until you can fit in a fucking seat, is the traveling more important than your health problem? wich being fat is a fucking health problem, answers no, excercise no flights for yall.
I couldn’t agree more. I had a 3 hour southwest flight where the guy next to me was so big, I basically had to sit sideways the entire flight. I took a selfie and sent it to southwest showing the guys shoulders and arms pouring into my seat. They called, apologized, and gave me a flight voucher.
What's fucked up is, if the wrong person caught you taking the picture, you'd probably wind up in an article where they make you into a monster for fat shaming.
Just had this on a flight for a work conference. He was probably 400 pounds I’d guess and he literally couldn’t keep himself in the seat and he smelled really bad. He actually apologized several times and seemed like a decent dude when we briefly chatted. It was only about 2 hours but felt like an eternity. It was completely full so I couldn’t be moved. Shit should not be allowed.
She’s an entitled idiot who wants sympathy and attention for pretending to be a victim on social media. Sad thing is she probably keeps making these videos cause there’s idiots out there who encourage her and say she’s fine how she is. No lady, you’re not. What is it gonna take for you to go to the gym like the rest of us? Lol
I went to skydive when I was 21. Unbeknownst to me, there is a weight limit to tandem skydiving. I weighed 290lbs that day. I needed to be 245 or less. Now, I flew across the country to do this. I was embarrassed, frustrated, mortified. I had to tell everybody why I couldn’t do it. It was a better alternative than saying I chickened out. So, for the next 18 months I trained to run a marathon. I exercised like a mad man. I went back and I still barely made the cut off 🤣 But I lost 45-50 lbs. BTW, skydiving is amazing. Highly recommended. And later that year, I ran my marathon. So when you are told you are too fat to do something, your 1st instinct is to be like this woman. Bitch and moan about how the world needs to have options for big people. But the more healthy thing to do is look in the mirror and decide if you can make some diet and exercise changes.

I was seated next to a larger gentleman on a small commuter flight from Dallas to Oklahoma City. The aisle had three seats, while the other had two, and we were seated in the two-seater. He was clearly self-conscious that his size was encroaching on my personal space, and while I did not make a fuss about it due to the short duration of the flight, I would have likely requested compensation had it been a longer flight.

Went from 312 lbs down to 220 and I feel SO MUCH BETTER. Healthier than ever in my life. Even as a large person I never expected accommodations for my size. Tom just made me look this up. The 2023 average offensive linemen weight is 314.82 lbs & the heaviest is 380. If you weigh more than the majority of offensive linemen (& you're not like a sumo wrestler) you have a problem.
Nothing as anxiety inducing as sitting at your gate and seeing someone 300+ lbs on your flight that boards after you. Just praying they aren’t next to you
In the UK a few years ago Cancer Research published some advertising boards warning people to watch their diets as obesity can cause cancer. This sparked major fat outrage and hundreds of online arguments between fat folks and cancer patients. Was a beautifully crazy time

If you REALLY think about it. Time will pass on and you’ll either get bigger and miserable or healthier and happier. Nobody will convince me they love their 300lb+ body
ACTUALLY as a former retail employee I can explain the sizing chart. So the typical even numbers 0,2,4,6,8 and on, are technically called women's or "casual" sizes. Odd numbers, 1,3,5,7,9 + are for juniors sizing being pre-teens to teenagers. However when you get to the Men's department it completely changes. Typically their pants size starts at 28" and goes up (you'll rarely see smaller sizes) and then expensive contemporary brands, such as Joe's jeans, American eagle, house of Harlow, usually European brands as well, do the weird sizing similar to Men's where it usually starts at size 25" when it's actually still very small. IT'S A MESS, I've always hated it. But to put it simply, 0-2 is XS, 2-4 and maybe 6 is small, size 8-10 is considered medium, size 12-14 is large, and 16-18 is XL. Same concept applies to juniors, however the juniors department, doesn't matter if it's considered an XL, is still itty bitty because it's catered towards younger kids/really young adults.
Love how she talks about how embarrassing it is to ask for a seat belt extender. Um, if you were truly happy with your size, you would not be so embarrassed to ask for the extender. However, they are not. Hence the embarrassment. They are so diluted.
I got denied boarding on a small roller coaster and dropped 100 pounds with just dietary changes. Yes, men tend to have an easier time of dropping weight, but literally anyone can do it. Nobody called me fat or said any other trigger words, I just knew it was time to lose the weight.
Honestly, after I got out of the army I went into a deep depression and binge ate for a year. I went from 180 pure muscles to 235. I’m now working my way down because once I got out if that depression I saw myself in the mirror and I was absolutely disgusted with myself. Right now I’m down 20lbs and I feel great, I feel healthy, and I’m happy. But even though I feel great I still know that I am 30lbs overweight, and I know that being overweight is not healthy in the slightest. Being happy sometimes has to take a back seat to being healthy, if you want to live long enough to see your grandkids take their first steps.
Same here when I got out of the Marines. Started my weight loss journey almost 6 months and currently down 45 pounds. Keep killing it man just take it easy and don't get frustrated when you hit a road block.
I feel ya. After 2020 my livestyle became sedentary. I noticed this year that I was losing strength in my legs. I used to go to the gym 5 years ago. So I have some muscle memory. Started doing some basic home exercices 1.5 months ago and most importantly, eating self made food (good old chicken and rice). I regained my strength, I can bend down or squat without having my legs shaking. Some muscle is back and I feel leaner. Crazy how you body has muscle memory and how fast it is to get back to near the point where you left off in your fitness journey.
I am getting alright but after the Army and three Iraq deployments I'm starting to believe the root cause is you have lost your tribe. Sebastian Junger explains it wonderfully if you want to see what I'm saying.
I was never massive, but I did get to a size that I felt ashamed of a few years ago. I was fat because I got depressed and never wanted to leave the house, just wanted to comfort myself with food and video games. Due to medical problems, I can’t go to a gym to try and burn it all of as fast as possible, doctors told me I could only walk… So that’s what I did. When I was not studying or working, I’d walk for 4 hours every day I had off. I’d pick a direction and go. I also cut down my food portions, not cutting bad food out completely, but just making sure I was just eating less. I only drank water, so soft drink was not something I had to worry about at either (soft drink is a huge problem for people, cut that shit out, you don’t need it). I’m still trying to loose weight, but I am now a size I don’t feel ashamed about. But the best bit? Walking and exercise is proven to make you happier! I feel better from just moving about, from getting my blood pumping. Walking is awesome, and it’s easier than you think. idk, I just wish more people did it…
They either don't seem to realize, or refuse to acknowledge, that a chair that is designed for her, would be too heavy, too strong, and too big for most people. It would be overbuilt and more expensive. In order to be comfortable for her, it would be uncomfortable for most people. She just thinks everything should revolve around her.

I have been in intensive care in the hospital, and 90% of the other patients there were plus-size people dying or unable to take care of themselves from there body starting to shut down. It's extremely deadly to be plus sized.
One of the greatest things anyone can do is realize they are the problem. It is never anyone else's fault. You always play a role in every problem in your life. When you take total responsibility for yourself its a freaking super power. It is never anyone else's responsibility to accommodate you.
As someone who is 6’6” it’s nearly impossible for me to partake in certain activities. I literally have no control over my height. People that are to fat insult me when they say they can’t be accommodated. You have an addiction, I’m just tall. Stop equating the two.
6’6” here too. Lack of leg room is a nightmare on flights but if I wanted to do something about it I would buy a more expensive ticket. Not complain to the world that I deserve accommodation.
And by calling slim people "straight sized", they are trying to leach off the struggles of gay people and make themselfes sound more like some victims, or what the heck is this term supposed to be? This doesnt even make sense. They act like they were born fat.
I'm 6'4 and skinny, and my knees are smashed into the seat in front of me on every flight. I'm not out here asking for an entire industry to accommodate my size, because I'm taller than average.
I'm fat and I always cringe when I see other fat people that expect other's to be accommodating just because they chose to over eat. If you're fat because of a medical issue that's another thing, but don't expect people to feel bad if you're just fat because you hate yourself.
Even with medical issues most people dont try to be healthy. Nobody wants to workout hard, nobody wants to eat clean at normal portions. Most fat people dont exercise, eat healthy or in normal portions. Its no rocket science trying to figure out how to lose weight. Getting in shape is hard and will never be easy

I know it’s possible to lose weight because I myself have lost over 100 lbs in the last 3 years. It’s not impossible at all.
I used to work on cruise ships and they definitely did have a weight limit for certain activities, anything physical was worrisome due to heavier people having heart issues, and the ship doesn’t want to be liable , also with boat activities , there’s an overall weight limit, therefore they would rather have 2 normal sized people than have 1 one obese person take up the space so they can make more money off the tours.
Sizes are worthless considering the molds for the things are different by each manufacturer. That is why you sometimes buy a size 6 shirt and it fits differently than another size 6 shirt despite being the same size. Another thing is that obesity has a social and psychological factor on top of biological. (Humans are in fact bio-psico-social beings). So you shouldn't actually tell someone to just "stop eating". Because the reverse also happens. When someone is underweight, you can't just say "eat a pork chop bro". Or when someone can't get themselves out of bed, you can't just say "just get up and do stuff". One of the main current actual problems is you can't talk about this without being made out the villain, and at the same time the commodity of being in the "victimhood spot" that they are allowed to feel sorry for themselves and demand YOU to accomodate. PS: I would NOT take Gwynneth Paltrow ever. Some fat people are actually fucking fun or at least they know how to cook. In fact (and Tom would know this) a lot of friend groups in South America... we all have that one guy that is "el gordo". And he doesn't give a fuck, but the BBQ he makes you will suck on your fingers. GP is a crazy bitch, lmao.
I’ve been 40lbs over weight and genuinely felt like I was dying slowly every day. I can’t even begin to imagine being 175lbs over weight. That’s another person.
Look into intermittent fasting. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I've only been doing it for about a month now but it's something to look into.
Thanks for talking about the addictive part of sugar, fat and salts. I’m 50 pds overweight and have been since my early 40s. I’m 56 now and found out I’m adhd which has a correlation to binge eating disorder, especially for women. I also had an alcoholic mom so lots of chaos growing up and food was something I used to numb my emotions and still do. This worked ok for me until it didn’t. My poor body is now paying a huge cost for all those years of binging. Getting the adhd diagnosis has helped me understand my life so much better. Poor mental health and addictions go hand in hand. Overweight people lie to themselves as much as any other addict. Promoting the idea that being overweight is something to be embraced has encouraged a lot of people to accept overeating as normal. Its not. Its a symptom of a bigger problem that needs to be addressed. I’ve been in therapy many times in my life. It’s not easy for me to be healthy but everyone has a burden in their lives, this just happens to be mine.

She should explain her definition of “being removed from the comforts of your own home” or actively choosing to go on holiday to Hawaii, to someone that was also “removed from the comforts of their own home” or forced to take a train from one of Polands ghettos to a concentration camp during WW2
So she says straight sized because she refuses to use the word normal but wants to feel special for being different. Even tho 60% of American are overweight lol
I have to add that it’s funny she’s requesting all this stuff, but not mentioning that if they do have these accommodations, she wouldn’t mind paying extra for them. Because in the end, the accommodation she’s asking for is something that requires more time and effort and that equals money.
It's worse than that. She straight-up said that she's embarrassed to ask for said accommodations. Not only is she the problem, but she refuses the solution. She's a total hypocrite worth more than her physical weight in ideological contradiction.
A girl i used to work with who weighed about the same as this baby elephant came into work one day crying and complaining about her DOCTOR because he had just told her she needed to lose weight or she was going to die lol. "I'm healthier than him" I remember her saying
I was 240 pounds at my peak. Some of the things that made me want to lose weight was when wearing XL shirts started becoming tight and rolling on my stomach and having fistfulls of fat roll to one side. I didn't complain about the rest of the world, I just lost the weight. Being fat was uncomfortable, but it was the price i paid for all those calories i ate.
That was my immediate thinking. Like if you're trying to be small...uh...try harder. Try not eating 20lbs of food a day or exercising. You don't get over 350lbs when trying to be small 😂
And its not only their own life they are risking. Having human bodies strapped into seats in the event of a crash is safer for the person strapped in *and* everyone else as well. There will be quite enough loose stuff flying through the air in the event of a crash. The last thing we all need are people weighing hundreds of pounds flying around the cabin also.

THIS, 100% well-said
That is a good way to look at it. No doubt true.
The way people describe being obese like it's a condition for which they have no control blows my mind.
That was more BEFORE body positivity. Nowadays they describe it as a fundamental piece of their identity like a sexuality or something.
this sort of obesity is multigenerational now and so there are people out there who have never been "skinny"
There are also FAR too many people making excuses and blaming it on "genetics" or "a result of OTHER health issues" (meanwhile the "other" health issues could ALSO be cleared up by eating better... ). And you aren't predetermined due to genetics. Your environment and actions play a much bigger role.
They can't close their mouth!

Right? The people who are sensitive simply do not realize that people just want others to be happy.and healthy even if we don't know them. Not shaming or anything. I rather have tough love than false encouragement that could potentially kill someone. Hope you're doing well man.
That's because you (and I) are ol' school big. LOL. This new school of thought seemingly doesn't accommodate the concept of obese.
Personal accountability is dead
"They should pay for my obesity". That pretty much summed it up for me so well.
We already are. Medicare, Medicaid, disability, unemployment...
Pay for her obesity? I’d much rather pay to feed the malnourished.
The people laughing so much are total ass-kissers. Way overblown to play up to Segura. I agree with the argument.

The producer or whoever losing himself laughing is the BEST part of this conversation. 😂😂😂
relevant story time: I went on a cruise to Jamacia once.

200 lbs weight limit per seat is more than fair, fatties should pay for two seats
I was thinking that as well. I'm about to travel with my son and us plus our luggage won't weigh anything close to 350lbs. It's an unfair system.
I don't actually care how much someone weighs because with a gun to my head I could not tell you how much weight an airliner could handle. However, to get potentially multiple seats for free is what gets me. Screw that. I'd like some extra room too!
Right if my bag and Me weighted together is lighter than your biggest passage I shouldn't have to pay a fee.
Went from 312 lbs down to 220 and I feel SO MUCH BETTER. Healthier than ever in my life. Even as a large person I never expected accommodations for my size. Always felt like it was more of a motivator than anything else. Telling myself I can work my way back down to that size. (That being said, I did carry my weight VERY well and most people didn't believe me until I would show them the scale, but that doesn't mean my body itself didn't make it a point to tell me it was that size through various amounts of pain xD)
Congrats!!

@@OFFCODEV2 😂
Sorry she didn’t feel bad enough about herself
The laughter from behind the scenes makes the statements 10x funnier lol.
Love how she talks about how embarrassing it is to ask for a seat belt extender. Um, if you were truly happy with your size, you would not be so embarrassed to ask for the extender. However, they are not. Hence the embarrassment. They are so diluted.
I see fat people and I’m simply embarrassed for them when I see them. Never mind after asking for a seat belt extender

I'm glad someone is vocalizing this. Overweight people shouldn't be shamed, but nobody owes you anything because you're gigantic

It's more for turbulence, but if the plane dropped like 500 feet, she'd rip that fucker straight off the chair and smash through the roof
And its not only their own life they are risking. Having human bodies strapped into seats in the event of a crash is safer for the person strapped in *and* everyone else as well.
