Like to see how good it works in a field of wheat or barley or something like that. I would love to have some of his tools he creates. He makes it look so easy forging tools and blades but I'm sure it probably vary difficult. He is an artist in his own right to form and make something so useful from our scrap metal waste.
This is one tool making man. If you can't find one, most likely he can make one for you. Thanks for sharing 🇺🇸🇨🇱😁👍
KK, you make it look so easy to make👍👍👍👍👍

احسنت شغلك رائع
Good job brother sent me one to Guatemala
Good work. I haven’t used a scythe in about 30 years. I think the angle of the blade is too open. It should work without effort. It’s like slicing bread - if you put the knife on top of the bread and press it’s hard work. But angle the knife with the tip down and slice and with a sharp blade it’s easy. I love the worksmanship anyway. Bravo!
me i know if what kind of grinding disc do you have sir?
Excelent
Muito bom
You also watched our own Manny Pacquiao, also a Filipino from Michigan USA.
Bang scythe nya dijual gak ?
🙋👉🙋
Hi good morning is there anyway that I can talk to you to place an order for a big knife
@2:15 good skill (and equipment) on the hollow handle!
Great tool.
Thank you forthe video.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You also watch Philippines boxing super star Manny Pacquiao 😂.. I'm Filipino bro
I think it might work better if you swing with your waste rather than swinging your arm because the arm angles the blade down into the dirt.
Thank you for your idea. It's the first time the blacksmith made and used it
👍👍

Это не коса разве так косят
I am from Russia and to be honest, such a braid is not suitable for work in a wheat field, and for ordinary grass, too
First of all. Great attempt to remake a tool you don't have a fysical version in front of you to remake it from. Guessing you where going for an American style blade. So here is what i see is wrong with it from half the world away. Angel between tip of the blade and snath (wooden part of the handel) is to "open" (meaning to great) for cutting gras. I also think the angel between the flat side and the snath is to steep and that is why you dig the tip in to the ground a couple of times when you are ussing it.
Since your snath appears to be a swiss model. The nib in your left hand is supposed to be horizontal not vertical with the top part towards you. Nib in your right had is suppossed to be toward you.
Usualy the blade has raised ridge on the back side and on American scythes the back of the blade rides over the ground; On Austrian scythe blades they slide over the ground on the belly( Downward bulge smack in the middel of the blade) The blade it self is ground verry thin to slide better through the grass.
It is not connected to the snath with a socket in general. There are different ways to manage this. In place off a socket they have a flat piece of steel with a ring around it and secured with a wedge or a half round ring with bolt(s) on the flat side that fits on the bottom. For this reason the connecting part af the snath is flat on the bottom. This way it becames a bitt adjustabel when mounting.
As for the mowing it self. Keep the blade flat on the ground always. Make half circel cutting motions with the blad. Keep the blade sharp with a wethstone. Don't try to force it. Is is a subtle tool not a crude hacking tool.
youtube is a great source for how to videos. Just search "Mowing with scythe" and you are bound to find a bunch.
Hope it helps. And again: great work. Greeting from Belgium.
Great work. I am using scythe from 12 years, and know all,how to prepare to work, and work with it. We have long winters, cows, horse's,need a lot work with scythe. And your scythe need some remakes. Sorry for my English, can't explain what is wrong. May be just European scythe is different.
Please give to me your scythe's picture. Thank you.
Easy, slow, few centimeters at once .. The correct scythe design is necessary and the gras have to be wet and cold (it's early morning work)..
