I cant wrap my head around the fact that houses that were being sold for say 280k in 2019 are now being sold for 500k i personally dont think they are worth that price, and if we get a change in government and then hopefully build more homes then people we allow into the country/province then we could see a huge crash. Also who is it that determines housing assesments? We see 100% assessment increases from 2019-2024 and that blows my mind
Yeah I agree when it comes to house construction inflation would play a big part, but when it comes to buying a house that is 20 years old I wouldn't say inflation is the main reason that a house doubled within 2 years
Hold off on buying until 2026 when there is a new government that quashes demand and speculation (ie cuts immigration and international students + BOC holding rates longer)
Thanks for another great video. Like to stay current. Cheers
Thanks for watching!
Prices are insane. Those houses are not worth the cost honnestly.

Inflation

@@trinitybricks9522 I think it's more supply and demand , not so much inflation when it comes to housing. Inflation didn't go up 100%
A lot of items and services go into house construction, all these items and services prices have gone up what do you expect.

We definitely need more tradespeople! Cost of living is tough right now but overall Halifax is an awesome city!
