- My first day in the life of a software engineer video made me realize that I can't really share a whole lot about my job due to the confidential nature of the work I do So I figured this video would be a good chance to showcase some of my side projects related to programming and other random weekend shenanigans!
Intro Song: Boredom - Oddwin

Found your channel today, I’m 25 years old. I’ve had a couple of ups and downs mostly downs. Still not sure what my purpose in life is. Like everyone else im just trying to be successful i guess. I’m always in my head feeling like im running out of time, since I pretty much have nothing to show for all my hard work. I’ve always wanted to learn something like this, even though I don’t have the knowledge or guidance of how to start in something like this. I would trade it for the place im in now. Tired of working low paying construction jobs, if you happen to read my comment please give me a hand in showing me where i can take a leap of faith. Keep in mind i have no knowledge of this work field. But I’m extremely eager to break away from my stereo typical life and feel proud of my self for learning something that right now seems extremely hard. Thanks man your editing skills are awesome, I would’ve never guessed you had less thank 10k followers by the quality of your videos. It’s awesome.
Hello, I can understand you. At that time I was in the same situation as you. Believe me, nothing happens by chance everything happens for a reason! Just as I just happen to see your comment and take the time to motivate you. Don't give up! The important thing is that you realized that you want to change your situation not many can, be proud of yourself. If you want to work in IT, you can learn and acquire the skills through many courses on the internet. I can only suggest one thing to you, do an IT training. IT is the future and no job is more secure than IT. You can watch my channel for a little insight into my IT world and my profession if you Like. IF you have skils in IT, you can work around the global you have no Limits!
Wow what a coincidence bro , me and you are the same age ( Even tho I’m turning 26) , we both work dead end construction jobs (I’m union) , and on top of that trying to become a software engineer, I’ve spent months learning how to code , and I can say for sure that I absolutely enjoy it. It is hard a times but not as hard as working a job with a guaranteed layoff … I have a portfolio site up with 4 projects and i am full stack . I’m on the route where I’m applying to jobs praying for an interview .
@@welldiscerned7540did you go to a boot camp? If so which one how did you get started in the field?
@@LilMissSwager0723 I’m self-taught
I am! Love the idea of the "Creating A Tech Startup" series!
Hey bro, you should definitely do that tech startup series! As someone that unfortunately didn't take my early college years as serious as I should is great seeing your content as is very inspiring!
Hey man, I've actually already decided I'm definitely doing it lol
But I'm glad I could be of some inspiration to you man!
The Marcy Archive is a brilliant idea. I asked Hollins about something like this, it's looking great thus far.
Thanks!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I am very suprised with the quality of your videos. I just found out about your channel, I started watching and I thought ,,Wow, this guy has at least like 150k subs". You will make it man! Keep it up!

This was nice, I love the way the video is put together. I'm an upcoming Software Engineer also based in NYC, I've been subbed for a min and I was wondering, what camera are you using to record?
Thanks man! I'm using the Sony ZVE-10 (no special lenses or anything, it's all stock)
Idk if you will see this but I love your videos. You even inspired me to start coding, Now Im only 14 so I use a labtop. But I hope and pray to become a Software Engineer when Im older God bless bro✌🏿

Sometimes between 2am and 4am 😂😂😂 it's the only time the gym is reliably empty
Hey cool video. Just a quick question. What clock do you have on the wall? Looks cool!

It’s actually just this random clock from Amazon. Thanks for watching!

Ayeeeee look at us man !!! 😂🔥
once you complete a bootcamp do you just apply for jobs i don’t understand how you go from boot camps to actually working
Yeah pretty much. Once you complete a bootcamp you’re pretty much on your own, so you have e to start your job search either alone or with whatever resources or connections you gained from the bootcamp!
Super dope channel
Nice Video! Really cool Content. I am SAP Software Engineer from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Greetings from here 🏔️
Thanks man!! Nice to meet you 👋🏾
Sir if you earn 141000 dollars as a software engineer a year before tax then what is your take home pay after taxes? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
A little over 90k after the government gets their cut
i’m class of 2025 is MarcyLabs still going to be available at that point?
Yeah it should be, it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. You should definitely do some research and then apply!
Sir do you earn 250000 dollars a year as a software engineer in New York? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
Definitely not. Maybe if I worked at Google I'd make that much 😂. I make $141000 which is pretty competitive for NYC. The average is somewhere around $120000
Ohh Boy, 🔥

It's never really too late
Yoo bro do you use vs code by any chance?
Yeah I do!
Devy quick question, I am currently enrolled in a python course but after watching your videos I decided to go back and stick with frontend development. I want to ask should i still learn python or i should just relearn html and javascript?@@doseofdevy

I don't have a degree in computer science or anything for that matter. I attended a software engineering bootcamp for 1 year and got my start out of that
