Thank you dearly Chris O'Dell. You are very generous in sharing your time with The Beatles. It is also wonderful hearing about the inner circle moments. I read your book and was very moved about how you affirmed that you worked for the Beatles; and it manifested. Wow ! I honestly just mentioned your name yesterday. A woman was addressed with the same "Miss O' Dell" ! I had to tell her about you. Blessings always Chris, Thanks. :-)
Thanks for sharing your stories, Chris. We all know you were there, and Beatles fans always will know your important place in the story of The Beatles. Take care. You are awesome.
So amazing that the Police said Do You Know This Is Louder Than A Transistor Radio ! Typical Police Mentality ! But to be honest they didnt know they were witnessing a great musical historic event and yet added to it and gave everybody watching now a totally good laugh at their actions ! Thanks Chris ! Wonderful !!
So Happy to ear this part of the story by Your voice. You are a basic presence in the band's history, also for the other artists You Met in those years! Because this Is Your front view of the artists and is also relevant the way that You find the find the right words to tell about. Thank you! Keep recording this Memory, more story more future. My family Hope the best for all of Your family.
Hello Chris. I'm so lucky to have discovered your UA-cam channel. I plan on buying your book on Amazon. I hope you get the commission. I just watched the James Taylor story so I'm your new biggest fan.
While watching it, I remembered your story from your book,and hoped you would come on and talk about it, so thank you! My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother, and for everything you and your family are going through. Sending healing energies to your husband and peace to you all. ❤️
Great to hear such poignant memories about these historical events! For me, the most beautiful footage of the rooftop performance is the portrait of the Swimming London seen around Savile Row. How lucky you have been! Certainly, you were at the right place at the right time! Regards. Joan
~~~Love this Chris!!! Wow, you must have had a lot of interesting memories. I am so sorry you were not mentioned maybe they will reconsider. I hope.~~~My Gram and Mom are from Liverpool.~~~When I see the film I will look for you.~~~And I will get your book.~.
Great video Chris. It was amazing to see you in the video having read your book and heard your story. You are truly lucky to have been on the roof and to have been around the Beatles at that time. Me? I had just had my tenth Birthday and would have been in School!.....Doh!
Very sorry for the loss of your Mum and your husbands health. Thank you for sharing. Chris. I noticed you in the film from the Sky documentary a couple of years ago. I could happyly watch another 8 hours of the Beatles. Thought it was brilliant. uplifting.compelling and a joy to watch the creative genius. Loved their work ethic. What wonderful times you must of had. Lucky you.
Very sorry to hear about your personal loss and your husband's health. Thanks so much for your memories of the period and feelings on the documentary. It is really great to hear thoughts and opinions from someone who was actually there! I have seen a lot of podcasts and read various opinions and speculations from the clueless, so this means a lot. I don't want to speculate on yourself not bring mentioned, I was not there and have no connections to those involved. It is a shame, though. I must say that I was always astonished that Paul McCartney played that show on the roof wearing just a suit, while the rest are wearing coats. A real toughie!!
Thank you Chris O'Dell for the recollection of those days, possibly the corrections on credits will happen before a DVD/Blu-Ray release happens. Again thank you for posting and sharing your memories here even during these Covid times of taking care of family or loved ones.
Bobby Whitlock mentioned Miss O'Dell on his channel and I thought about looking around for content. I am an acquaintance of the late, great Dan Matovina. I believe that I was in touch with Chris back in the early 90s just after the death of Harry Nilsson. I think it was to see what type of R&R Hall of Fame support we could drum up for Harry and Badfinger.
So sorry for the loss of your mother and your husband’s health concerns. We were worried about you. I thought PM got to you after saying Linda looked like a bag lady. That was hysterical. So happy to see you and hear your stories again. Love and Peace.
You are famous now, and that is why the lack of credit is a problem. You were important. You were there. You are a published author on the subject. And I loved your book. It is a testament to flawed research on the part of the director and it is rooted in some sexism. Why the heck would not they not include you, because you were a gal.
Yeah, I spotted you in Get Back! Thank you for sharing your memories with us. I loved your book. There are not too many people who could have resisted a come-on from George Harrison. Wow, mad respect for choosing your friendship with Pattie instead.
Hello, Chris. Due to reading Greenfield's STP book I feel like I've known you for 48 years. I bought several copies of your book as well (the one about working for The Beatles and going on the Exile tour). I've always thought one of the best contributions you made to any Rolling Stones tour was telling the two leaders they HAD to have somebody like you on tour to do the regular day to day things that need to get done. I think you were a personal assistant before the term existed.
1:59 in Paul McCartney’s new book Lyrics, he said Get Back was about Linda’s ex-husband, Joseph (JoJo) See, who was from Tucson Arizona. So now we know who the song is about.
Appreciate that you are taking time out to share, with the personal hardships endured. I hope the Beatles special will be posted one day for those of us who don't stream Disney. What an incredible, young life you lived!
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, Chris. So enjoyable hearing your first hand accounts of your time with our favorite band. Wishing you all the best!
wasn't that their last live performance? John, in my opinion was extremely impressive---I just watched this concert on YT last week only! And I rewatched it about 5 more times.
Hello Ms. O'Dell! If you haven't read it, I would recommend Ken Mansfield's book, "The Roof," in which he said some very nice things about you, and he reitterated that when I contacted him not long before his passing. I just found your channel and just ordered your book a few days ago after you were referenced in a video, actually as I recall, the video was entitled "Ms. O'Dell" on Bobby Whitlock's channel. I wish you the best and hope at this late date after the initial post of this video that things are well.
An interview with u popped up after looking at some Beatle YT vids tonight. I remember your name. Doesn't John L say it in Revolution #9? The Avant Garde track on the White album "... welcome to slackers....and here's Chris O'Dell....". Something like that....i think. Sorry about your loss. It touched me in the beginning of the video. And Alzheimers. That's a really hard and sad deal there. Now I'll step away from that right now... You sound like a nice lady Chris. Quite an experience for u, launching off with The Beatles. I like hearing bits of history like this. It's my go to thing to get away from mostly the more serious stuff i see and watch on YT and Twitter/X etc. The World is really changing now. A whole paradigm shift is unraveling as we sit here. But good things are coming just over the horizon. Those UFO/UAP Congressional hearing of whistleblowers like David Grush, Lue Alizondo of Reverse Engineering of these things are just the tip of the iceberg of much larger era of Disclosure. It's been dripped out so the people can take it in and digest it. Anyway Chris thank u. And I'll come back in a more lighter aire. There will be medicines and cures etc. May Pang has a YT channel to. I think her documentary with John fairly recently came out. You should check her channel out. She seems like a good lady too. Both of u. In the interview i watched with u, u mention that in the Apple Boutique sitting at a table with Yoko and Yoko may have looked forlorn or something. You say to her some kind of consolation like, "...it'll be alright. Don't worry about it...". Yoko turned and looked at u as though u were some kind of alien..." 🤓 I thought, "ohh man... I'm not surprised..". Ohh well, i shouldn't pick on her here. I don't know her. I'm just yapping. Ttyl. I'll buy your book. Thanks Chris.
Thanks for the video, Chris. Sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember how glowingly you talked about your Mom in your book, and how she was shy to sing during the Hey Jude session. Sorry also to hear that your husband has Alzheimer’s 😞. My Dad and SIL both had it- very difficult to deal with. Take care and thank you again for sharing your experiences 💕
Chris, I read the police initially intended to arrest Mal for disturbing the peace and Paul McCartney talked him out of it. Is that true? I’ve sang your name so many times. It’s good to see your post and to hear your insight. Thank you for posting!
Her hair is in a bob, very stylish, very blonde, appears tall and is wearing a black coat in 2 scenes. I missed the scene with Linda, Heather and her on the floor but it seems that would be easy to figure out.
Maybe it was a genuine oversight, rather than deliberate. I'm sure Peter Jackson would have named you if he'd known who you were. Anyway, WE all know who you are, Miss O' Dell! Sorry for your loss and recent troubles.
Chris - is it you looking a little like a red head Mia Farrow? At one point, you're wearing a blue and white striped dress and large shades, and sitting in the control room? Having watched part 3 I do have to agree it's strange that your name isn't mentioned, when most other 'lesser' people DO get a mention.
@@davecostello560 I can answer that for her. No, that is not Chris. It is Sally Burgess, from the Apple Press Office. There is a shot of her with this identifying information in the movie.
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us, Chris. So enjoyable hearing your first hand accounts of your time with our favorite band. Wishing you all the best!
you are a gem and thanks for making these videos!
Lovely lady ... Chris thanks for the share !!
Great to see you again. Thanks for taking the time to tell your story. ‘Sending good vibes your way ♥️
It's probably the 1st time I've seen the Beatles as people and not as the stereotypes we have sold..
Sorry you are having a hard time. I've read your book so many times. It's wonderful. So much fun to be transported back with you.
Thank you for sharing, very interesting perspective and I hope to hear more of your wonderful stories.
Sorry to hear about your recent experiences, but glad you're able to resume your fascinating account of your memories. God bless!
Thank you Miss O'Dell.
I have a sneaking suspicion that being young, thin, and blonde was a requirement in the early days for the Beatles!?
Was Chris in a brown fur coat? light hair?
Really sorry to hear about your mother x
Question - have you heard from any of the Beatles in the 50 years since parting from the job?
Urge you to interview those remaining from the Apple universe like Keltner, Clapton, Boyd, Whitlock, Bramlett, Dylan, Or other lesser known App,elites
Hi Chris, Can you help us find you in Get Back. If you can tell us what you were wearing and the exact times in the video would also help. Thanks!
Her hair is in a bob, very stylish, very blonde, appears tall and is wearing a black coat in 2 scenes. I missed the scene with Linda, Heather and her on the floor but it seems that would be easy to figure out.
Who was the girl standing in the doorway to the roof.. she had very short dark hair and had a fur jacket on. Chris do you know?
