This is how to take your art seriously.
I made this video because, i know there is a lot of people like me who dream about becoming a legendary artist, or we want to live of art. But when are we going to stop dreaming and start working.
I have seen BIG improvement, because i chose to take my art seriously. Im at a point where i don't hate my art anymore, and i actually love creating it.

How to take art seriously
How to take your art to the next level
Overall I’d say it’s a very well done video. My only critique is the kind of false notion that there will be an end to your artistic journey because, truly, you’re always learning and fine tuning your craft. Other than that nitpick, great job man
Good point!👍 thx!
off with your nihilistic bullshit we are jolly around these parts.
The end to your artistic journey is when you put the pen down and never pick it back up, that piece you didn't finish and was super rough but liked was your last.
"You can only become better when you have a goal that motivates you to become better."
Hey im an animator and have worked for anime like jjk and black clover. ive only started getting serious at drawing in 2020 and got my first job in 2022, when i was 16. To anyone out there that's thinking of taking this seriously and really determined to get better and make it a job, remember that fundamentals, these short term goals are not just things u tackle once and then move on, you have to constantly come back to it and further refine it. Even now, I still practice perspective and drawing boxes in space just to improve my character drawings.
Try to find the fun in the little things in drawing like the little things in life
Never underestimate fundamentals, but always remember to have fun in the process, or you'll never last.
Don't give up, and take care!
Hey that's really cool! How did you get to drawing and working in anime/ animation? I'm looking to do that too!
Can I ask what exactly you did when working on jjk and black clover? I‘m so fascinated when it comes to animation though I don’t do it myself.
@@deonhoward3763 I studied a lot of the fundamentals as i said and analyzed animations of the people i admire, and just did that everyday
Eventually my work gets noticed on twitter and i made animator friends on discord
You would be perfect as the vocalist of a goth band
Ha Ha, Fr? Never knew goth music was a thing, thx🙏
I'd say the part about having something playing the background highly depends on what you are doing and what step of your process you are. For example, when I'm in a part of the process in which I need to think, like figuring composition, panneling, poses and such, I can't have anything playing, it really disrupts my thought process, but if I'm in the inking phase, for example, that doesn't really require thinking, I had already layed all the "thinking" down by that point, so I'm capable and it's even more entertaining to have something playing in the background. Curiously something I do play in the background sometimes is Trash Taste.
I totally agree with ehat you said at the end though. Don't leave stuff for after work/school otherwise you'll probably be too tired to do it.
Amazing point! Tho personally i can’t get distracted at any stage😭
You don’t need to write your stories, it’s like telling a gamedev he needs to learn to write and play his own music. Some, if not most, important comics were co-created by at least two people, sometimes more (DC, Marvel, CLAMP, of the top of my head)
Yeah u right, hard to do all that alone. I like writing more than drawing, tho its very close.
The thought of having people work with me on my own projects is weird tho. It feels too personal.
@@GrimTheArtist I agree. I also think it's why you would draw comics in the first place. if you're not gonna make the story yourself, then you can just draw other stuff no need for a full comic. that's just me tho
@@sorawastaken Exactly!
Bro thank u so much, I will use those tips day by day 🛐
aaaay *Yo!*
What's with the confrontational title 😅
I have a game-plan... I'm workin on it
You don’t take your art seriously because you don’t take yourself seriously. It’s tough to put in the effort towards stuff when you believe YOU can’t do it.
love this video man. Took some notes and inspired me to set some goals for my art and future self
Go get it💪🔥
Banger vid ❤ thanks for your effort 😊
Thanks, GOD bless you.
Well written advice, us as artist, need to attract the motivation to improve our creativity to make it fun and exciting, again.
Thank you brother👍
Well my reason to Draw is to stop playing video games because I got addicted since pandemic but now I just draw for fun and I delete all my games but sometimes I balance playing video games for now😅
That sounds really good👍 That pandemic did too much damage😭
I can use this even though I'm a musician and not an artist
Your’e still an artist, But yeah, cool to know a musician gains value from my drawing video!
Great video bud!!! Wish you all the best
Thanks! You too!
Goated video man🔥
Appreciate it👍
where's that clip from? for the first video with the guy painting on the canvas that was on the floor?
I don’t remember What the video is called, but it is Takehiko Inoue painting Musashi Miyamoto. So try searching along the Lines of that.
