I love The Last of Us and been loving your playthrough! I know it's early but I'm extremely excited for when you get to LOU2 if you keep on with this series. It's a divisive game and to each their own, but I am on the half of the fanbase that LOVED the crap out of it. It's a difficult game to play, but man what an experience.
Oh for sure I'm definitely going to play the second one as well. I heard it's coming to PC soon so I'm super excited to see the story through this game and the second one.

Loving the episode length! When keeping up in real time I think it really helps the viewer get more immersed in the episode, and it definitely helps speed up the games too! we're on a roll with this game and its great so far

Tips for the bloaters: they are exceptionally weak to fire so if you have molotovs, use those first as it burns away their armour. Killing should be easy afterwards. Also the shotgun is meant for close range, it doesn't do much damage from medium to long range so keep that in mind

I had plenty of deaths at this point. Getting that weapon sway upgrade was huge, btw. I held off until later in my playthrough and was missing half of my arrow shots, lol.
lmao I'm wondering if the melee might be a bit OP in this game. I think what makes it helpful is that it seems like things don't really hit us when we are actively engaging in a scrap with another Infected. Or I don't think we take full damage if any other infected trying to hit us. I'm a warrior at heart I can only do so much sneaking around. I'm loving the shooting though but I'm having an absolute blast with the punching and bricks lmao. Oddly enough I haven't died just yet I'm going to keep it in the video when I do. We only hit that fail screen that one time when we didn't chase that guy fully with Tess. We def should have played on the hardest difficulty I was just thinking we were gonna miss out on the senses stuff and wanted to experience it first but I think hard mode so far is kind of easy with a good ol brick and Joel's fists lmao Gosh this game is so much fun though I'm having such a great time on these adventures we are doing to get her to the fireflies. Such an immersive game and might very well be one of my favorite games I've played this year.

But I know the game is gonna get much tougher, including the most terrifying scene of any game I've played or seen coming up soon. And yeah, this game is so good. I can watch a 90-minute video of this game with no problem, which is almost impossible for me with other games. I'm looking forward to part 2 of this series already!
yeah it seems like our health doesn't take a full hit lol its like we kind of found a little hidden secret in melee. And I totally understand because every time I edit the video outside of listen to my voice I'm just loving kicking back and watching it. This game has no down time ever every thing feels so important its like we are on one big man mission. Seriously this game might change the direction of our channel and we might be play way more of these game over the open world stuff. I'm just loving how packed full this game feels compared to random exploring around in open world stuff.
This game is so much easier with a mouse and keyboard. I actually liked how much harder and more awkward it is with a controller - the thing it was designed for. Reason being, the game is incredibly realistic in everything, including all the animations and motion, and it is really mostly about the story. In real life, it's very hard to aim and shoot a gun accurately, especially while all distressed and running around in a chaos. A controller emulates that - it makes it hard to aim and shoot accurately. The struggle is a part of the overall struggle you experience while playing the game, being immersed in its gloomy world and mostly dark story. It adds to realism - what you see and what you remember is not shooting unbelievably accurately all the time, but missing, and stumbling, and struggling, and loosing amo, and being distressed about it all, and imperfect. With a controller normal difficultly can get quite hard sometimes actually, especially on the first playthrough. "Hard" is actually bloody hard. Notice you are often stocked up on amo? With a controller you miss so many shots, you won't be. That bloater is really hard to survive. At least in my experience. It adds so much to the feel of how desperate that world is.
yeah PC controls give us a huge advantage with reaction time the controls make games a bit more easier. We probably should have started on grounded as even survivor mode is kind of a cake walk. Its fine though as I'm having a great time and fully immersed into the experience. I would have used my PS5 controller for this but I don't like the noise it constantly makes into my mic it kind of makes the post recording editing process way long and harder to deal with. So sadly I probably wont ever be recording from a controller.
After that upgrade, shivs will break after using them twice. You will also get an upgrade for three uses. The same will apply to the bat, which kills instantly; you can upgrade the weapon to perform instant kills on three enemies. Thx for video man!
Lol you can say that again. It took us nearly a whole bag of ammo just to take that sucker down holy moly 😂. I'm happy we got a boss fight on though and I'm happy we saved ammo for it 😂. Melee has definitely came in handy in saving rounds. And Shivs are definitely super important it's a shame we missed out on s door 😭

(Survivor at least, maybe even grounded. The PC port and PS5 versions are easier than the original on the ps3). Do not use the listening mode. Again, it is more immersive when you don't know where the enemies are.
Glad you enjoyed the EP! Yeah I seriously wish we started on a higher difficulty I will change it if we can I'm not sure if it will allow us to kick it up but I do wish we started on the hardest. I'm gonna try to limit the listen mode I discovered that we can turn enhanced listen mode on and it pings loot nearby I may use it just for loot in the area as I have been missing too many little loot things around the area.
The code for the first safe you opened was written on a note in a drawer in the area with many clickers. You were in that room, but you didn't get close enough to the drawer for the prompt to appear so you could open it.
Next EP I put on that loot ping thing in the accessibility settings part it pings stuff in the area and will make our lives so much easier no more missing stuff hopefully.
imma keep the sway on to keep the game a bit harder and more realistic. I actually really love the draw reticle we got now its pretty awesome and feels old school to me.
Ah, Bill and Frank, i remember watching their episode on the show and crying at the end. Way different in the show than in game hopefully you consider watching it after playing this game.
BTW if you get a chance, after you finish this game you should watch the HBO Series. They changed Bill and Frank's characters and story and turned it into a much better story than the one here in the game.
I think you should reassing melee and croching to other keys. Every time you do one of those the weapon cross appears on screen, because the numbers are assigned by default to weapons. And now that you have the nail bombs, every time you crouch they get selected. Just letting you know it could be a problem!! :)
Yeah I been meaning to fix that it's so damn annoying I bind 6 to my sneak stuff in all games I need to get rid of it on the cross thanks for the reminder because it is getting to me. I just kept forgetting to deal with it was just excited to keep playing

They both are one of the best games, and have amazing bow gameplay with future tech. it's environment, world, graphics and enemies that you have never seen before. And don't remind me of its rich story. It has an amazing story filled with lore. It's timeline is set in the future world but when you play it... You'll see that the environment is still where people believe in tribes and prophecies. I don't wanna spoil too much. But I would be glad if you could give it a try... #LetsplayHorizonZeroDawn
I truly do love it when its like this one shot per pull back on the bow. Its so enjoyable to me and we def will be playing Horizon at some point on the channel. I remember it being in a poll on the channel at some point to be voted into a active game slot but it went against a few big games.

u can turn off the weapon sway in the settings, and change the reticle to a dot reticle. so much funner to me with a dot.

I wouldn't recommend watching it right now, if you haven't already. But the Last of Us TV adaptation did Frank's backstory so good!
