the union must be taking a page from worstjets playbook - for the company to say its outraged by the union ignoring the government when worstjet's been thumbing its nose at the government and its passenger protection laws for years is a bit rich - no doubt the union has noticed the government is impotent and has done nothing to hold the airline accountable
Just shows airplanes don't fly with out AMEs signing them off as airworthy. Unions are much needed in the Aviation maintenance field. The forgotten AMEs that make less then car mechanics, heavy duty mechanics and other trades. But they have the knowledge on how to keep a +100million dollar life support machine in the air, safely.

Been there myself a long time ago. It was the last time i ever worked a unionized job... I refuse ever to be in a union ever again. The mechanics want to take action to force the issue but the union is not backing them. Back when this hapoened me, the whole factory of 800 people theew their union cards on the floor & walked out. Please dont fly on any airline without knowing those airplanes are being regularly checked and serviced. We want to keep WestJet, but flying safely is the main concern. 22% wage increase? Is that fair?? Seems like alot.
Support west jet engineers. It’s about time someone union stood up to management. They don’t see what ame does but blame them. This should have been settled a long time ago not dragged to the last minute.
certainly not the company the original boss stated, The company was just giving in one hand and taking back on the other so Self inflicted No pity, The federal government ordered the port workers back to work and as a result, their employer just sat on their butt and did nothing. The title is misleading they have the legal right to strike
Corporate greed, pay workers reasonable rates.

Didn’t follow the CIRB directive, unlike CN and CPKC, you guys rock!
I hope they'll reach to a decent pay wages for the workers 🙏
What a dumb comment, to bring up airport taxes. Those taxes have been passed on to customers since their inception.
The talking h3ad is making shit up. It’s his modus operandi.
It’s time for Air Canada to swoop in with a price hike to help the situation.

Good. Shut it all down

Been driving from toronto to Buffalo airport and fly Southwest. Still cheaper and better service than Pearson Intl. People should boycott Pearson.

LOL. Nothing to do with the airline at all. No.
