I'm not even sure why these people are in a mummers parade. This isn't mummers anything other than using the name. What happened to the serious and elaborate costumes? What happened to the choreography? What happened to planning the event to represent something? It gets cheaper and more ridiculous every time I watch a parade.
U-Hauled it all the way to Philadelphia to stream this Mummer’s Day Parade❤ No worries about not having official viewing for the main stage performances. Superfriends NYC did a magical “slowly I step, inch by inch.” You got so close, I thought you were with the Band. 🪕🎺🥁 It was a wonderful way to start the New Year with Superfriends NYC and Superfriends 🥳🎉
We started the new year with something fresh and unheard of by many of us. It was quite an adventure getting close to the mummers. Let me tell you this. In the beginning when I couldn’t get a good view of the mummers I was closed to pulling out my hair one by one until the street opened up for me. Next year, we’ll do much better. Between the ball drop and the mummers, I need to figure out how to rest so I’d have the energy to cover all the string bands. Thank you for watching the ball drop, although there’s no ball drop and the mummers. It was a great weekend of streaming for superFriends!
