On the old doors on the gasket was replaced it should have had cocking put inside the door channel for the dark gasket. This would have stopped all that ice buildup
Cherry Creek Refrigeration that had already been done, so that’s the reason for the new ones. But since I didn’t mention it in the video, I appreciate the suggestion.
randomrazr it’s been awhile since I did that job, but if I remember correctly, it was leaking air from under the channel that holds the gasket in place. There was no way to repair that, so a new door was the only option. Really wasn’t that expensive either, I want to say between $400-$600 dollars. And the new door worked out great.
Ben Kuxhouse I haven’t, and looking at the parts diagram, I don’t see the actual lock as a part, just the keeper. Here is their website with service manuals, maybe you’ll find some info you can use. www.traulsen.com/service/service-parts-manuals
Thanks for the video. I needed to replace a true GDIM 49NT swing door torque master
Good deal. Tom. Let us know how the new style doors work out. 👍
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C It’s been 5 months or so, and the doors actually are working out well.
Good job!!

Sometimes if the floor isn't even this will happen. Put a shem under one of the wheels or roll it out to a even floor to see if that is the issue.
what was wrong with the original door

Has anybody here changed out a door lock on a traulsen G Series freezer? I can't figure out how to get that lock out of the door
