I'm really happy with this video! As it centralises around the exuberance he must feel when singing of this kind of glory so personal and yet so sublime in scope. His voice is so interesting here, there's the smooth butteriness of that delicate falsetto pulsating on the edge of the lines like a tiny heartbeat. I didn't notice it on the version featuring John Legend, or indeed the orgininal, - perhaps unsurprisingly,- but when he puts more substance in the open vowels: "butterFLIES", "through my LIFE! Through MY LIFE!" there is a really pleasing, slightly glottal texture happening that is a bit androgynous. It really reminds me of Tina Turner when she mixed her voice with a bit more rasp. Lovely voice.
