That water pump would've been thrown straight in scrap metal here in Australia. I have never seen timing GEARS in a car since a 1971 engine in my sisters car years ago. Although we have the kia pregio with this engine here in at least 2005, maybe later. I hear the diesel pump in these engines will blow the seal and then pour diesel into the sump.

Not my favorite engine that's why I try reusing parts of the engine if its still usable. I just clean it well :)
