This is your business. YOU are your brand. Just like people criticize chefs on how well they prepare their meals, they are going to criticize you on how well you do your makeup. YOU are your product. YOU are your portfolio. I mean, would you rather hear this from people on the internet, or professionals in the real world? How would you respond in a professional situation? Please don't act so self righteous and then blame your viewers for not liking ONE VIDEO.

I disagree with everything you said on snap chat. Constructive criticism does come from OPINIONS. And you said that no one grows if they don't step out of their comfort zones, and that's not true. And lip gloss on the lid? Lip gloss is hella sticky, use Mac's fix plus, or any kind of eye drops and that will make your eyeshadow stand out. I DON'T like the look, but that doesn't make me a hater. And honestly, people who leave negative comments are not going to stop just because you tell them to. YOU are the one that put yourself on the Internet. YOU are asking for OUR opinions. You just want compliments 24/7. Take a chill pill.
I have loved you from the beginning. I relate to you on a lot of things and your music taste is so similar to me that I have grown to adore you. But lately, you've been acting so bitter. Your snapchat story was so out of line. In no way does it make me pathetic for telling you constructively that I didn't find the look appealing. Just because your fan base has an opinion about this look that you don't approve of, doesn't mean it's not okay. You want us to only praise you and give you compliments to boost your ego? The fact that you said these types of comments -> "i love you but im not feeling this eyelook" or "i love you but your eye look looks messy" are the worst. You are wrong, THAT is constructive critisism, we love you and want you to better and wants to give you feedback so you can work on it the next time. We are just giving your feedback and suggestions since you asked for it in the first place. Makeup do have rights and wrong. Cos if anything u do with makeup is right, you would be contouring your cheeks with red lipstick by now.

Don't take this the bad way but you go from saying that you love us all the night before and to comment what we think on your new video and the next day you get upset because we told you we didn't like this look? if you are on social media you need to learn how to deal with good and bad criticism, it's always going to be there.

Watching this a few days ago when u posted it, I was saying To myself that the eye look was horrible. I didn't like it at all but wasn't going to say anything. After watching your snaps like everyone else I felt compelled to now tell you this wasn't ur best look. Although I mostly love all your videos. I don't think you were bashing ur subbies but you did ask for our opinions and not many of us liked it. And from what I read in the comments no one was being rude. They were simply letting u know they love u but they didn't like it. That is not passive aggressive. That's to let u know that they're not trying to be mean!! To me it seems as tho u only want us to tell u how beautiful u are all the time. And that's insecurity

I saw her rant on snapchat and I was disappointed! She's too into herself and only wants to hear about how beautiful she is, when we all know she's plastic now. If you don't want to be judged don't put yourself out there, you can always choose another career path, but bashing people just because you want them to say what you wish, is just rude! That goes to show how little you care about us. You are not confident at all, you only feel like that when you hear pretty little words.
Let me tell you something it takes lots of guts to come on here and put yourself out there. So please don't ever let someone make you feel like you didn't do an amazing Job, I don't know you personally but i follow you for your makeup skills! LOVE this look, Keep being creative for those who like it we enjoy every bit of it! Good luck and you have a fan out of me.
The eye makeup was just terrible. Sorry, and it wasn't even the lip gloss. It just looked very unfinished 😔

+Damaris R. I like that she tried but thats how it goes with makeup. You try and you wont always succeed. Failing is not a bad thing. It looks ok but it just made her eyes look uneven and the lash line on fasey looked lifted on the inner corner of right eye. I think if she blended the brown out alittle more and made both eyes even it wouldve been so much better. I love that she tried though. 👍

Right? People are acting like it's terrible. It's not my #1 favorite but I think it's pretty and natural for a summery look. There are other people on UA-cam like Nikkie Tutorials who (even though she's one the most talented girls on here) looks the same in every single video and uses the same look every time. I like that Amanda stepped out of her comfort zone, I don't think it looks bad at all.

I hate that if a look isn't an "Instagram" approved look it's a "no no." Makeup is an art form and she's using her channel to show you a different look. Just because it's not what everyone else is doing doesn't mean it's wrong. It's refreshing to see something different than winged eyeliner. Thank you Amanda for trying something different!

Idc who you are whether you're Kim karsashian or a youtuber with 1 million subscribers no human deserves to be talked down to, made fun of or criticized for how they live their life. Telling Amanda you don't like her makeup look is one thing but being rude and judging her character based on seeing these makeup videos or snapchat stories is just uncalled for. Saying oh deal with the hate it comes with the territory is ridiculous, if the people who leave these hateful comments had to get on camera and create new makeup looks on weekly basis to please millions of people I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to 100% of the time. I'm sad you ware so bothered by everyones opinion I mean I didn't see anyone ripping you to shreds, just saying the look wasn't for them but they love everything else you do. You really touched my heart when you uploaded your video about self love and I feel like you snapchat counteracted that video. The journey of self love involves taking criticism and growing from it. Love what yourself and what you do and wipe the negativity away. Yes it may suck because you are so used to being praised but it happens. I think you need to just take a step back and calmly re-evaluate this situation and take it as a learning experience, not a bashing session or a failure just learning.

came here after watching you on the snap. I know social media can be brutal now a days. Seeing as you have been doing this for a couple of years people are always going to leave opinions. I feel like you get used to hearing the positive praises which is amazing and may I add well deserved but you have to understand you always have to be ready to hear the other side of things as well. Not every one is going to like what you do and thats okay ot doesn't mean that you have failed. In the beauty industry theres constructive criticism all around and every one recieves it at some point and that's what you have to understand. You talked about going outside of you're comfort zone and how it makes you grow well so does criticism. So instead of taking it as something bad take it and use it. People didn't like the eye look so what, if you did take it and work with it. thats how artist's grow stronger.
To be honest the eyeshadow technique you used wasn't my favorite but I loved the lip color! Please do more spring looks with a bold lip! Love you girl #Ateam

Your snapchat rant really turned me off. So many people are leaving honest opinions that are NOT hateful whatsoever. Not everyone is going to like what you do, and if you can't take honest opinions/criticism then don't ask for them. No matter what, people are going to voice how they feel, but when a you-tuber that you may look up to ASKS for an opinion, and then we get shitted on and called "passive aggressive" for voicing it, it's such a turn off. It's awesome that you want to know what we may or may not like, but why ask if you're just gonna get upset when you don't like reading some of the comments?
Ive been a fan and this by far is the only video that really not made me say woaaah... I think bcuz the gold near your lash line made your eye shape look weird, smaller and down. Not hating!! Just my opinion. But its okay we all have our good and bad days :❤️

I mean, you do some bomb make up and it is nice that you're trying new things and doing things out of your comfort zone. That's wonderful BUT you did ask for people's opinion and that's what you got and honestly i follow other beauty gurus and youtubers and I LOVE what they do and I love watching them and some times they do something that I don't particularly like and i don't want to sound like an a-hole and say, " i don't like this look" or "i don't like this" or whatever. I'm going to put that i love you before hand so that i don't sound like some rude person saying i don't like something that you did. I mean would you rather your followers be honest with you and still say that they love you or just have a bunch of your followers say i don't like this? Think about it. At least we love you enough to tell you the truth and still love you regardless.
