20% is a welcome offer for me. With all the sales we have in the year, I can't consider anything that's less than 30-35 % as a sale for BF. I got two complexion products from Danessa Myricks because it was 50% off, and I skipped all the deals on her products that have come my way so far (40 and 35% off). I don't plan to buy a lot of makeup (I already got two Mac blushes for 11 dollars each) because I already have a lot that I didn't have time to try yet. And the bills are hitting hard at the moment so treating myself up isn't the top priority right now 😂

I don’t know why, but a few people are going to forget that Black Friday is supposed to be for store in store deals and cyber Monday is for websites but I guess these companies don’t care about that anymore. They stop caring when tried to move bf deals to thanksgiving early hours. And it caused chaos in the stores

Aside from brand new releases of palates being on a deep sale (there should still be one just not as much as other products), I don't understand companies thinking that putting only specific items on the sale is a good idea. If I go to shop with a brand I'm looking for something I actually need/want but them only putting crap nobody wants on sale is not making people buy. I'm just going to realize what I actually want isn't available on sale and just not buy. It can wait or I may never get it.

Yeah, I think every since Black FriDAY became a week/month... the sales just aren't impressive. And the lack of sales is probably good for my budget since it makes it easier to skip all these things I want but absolutely don't need 😂
I can't say I'm all that surprised that Black Friday isn't great this year. It's not just inflation but the cost of the items required to _make_ things have gone up a ridiculous amount. I also wonder if part of why sales aren't as good is because a lot of brands are dragging their "black Friday sales" out. Instead of it being a 1 or 2 sale at a deep discount, it's a weeks long sale for a _lesser_ amount. You really need to be educated about what things cost throughout the year to decide what sales are good and what ones aren't. Give Me Glow does a yearly sale and this one is quite good this year, FWIW.
I bought lip pencils from NYX. Ill buy Rituel de Fille, not bc the discount ia great (only 20%) but they give limites edition colors with each tier. Smart of them and makes it more exciting.

So I was thinking about Adept and Nomad’s sale which are similar for Black Friday. I think their sale are for newbies who want to stock up on and not for regular buyers who buy throughout the year. Which to be honest is fine. Having watched previous years people go crazy and snatch up all Adept palettes in like the first five minutes of the sale, their sale strategy makes sense. They have a few great sales throughout the year so I support their Black Friday shenanigans 😂😂 Nomad does an adjustment with their Cyber Monday sale which is 30% off so I’m so. To mad at their Black Friday shenanigans either 🤣

I also think there aren’t that many great sales going on but I did go into this season saying I was gonna shop the Sephora sale and pick one or two brands to shop directly from if they had a good deal. The two brands I selected were ABH and Huda beauty, ABH for the eyeshadow palettes I’ve been looking at all year…. That seem to keep going on and off sale on Sephora site. And then Huda beauty for trying some of the Kayali perfums…. I looked on the site and saw that the sales just wasn’t good enough, honestly. But the ABH was 45% off & that’s doable. So I only shopped ABH and (Lancome) because I wanted the Lancome beauty box, I’ll make a little short or video on it😅😅😅. But yes, definitely not shopping a ton this black Friday, nowhere near like I did last year but I’ll be watching because I feel like over the summer and coming into next year around this time these brands are gonna have to get rid of their products. But also people be talking and really be shopping look at Patrick Ta eyeshadow! Gone!

Stickii Club, Ulta restocks with 5x points, and some stuff from my gym already, with fancy notebooks, socks, and MAYBE a holiday palette release from Bella Beaute Bar/Unearthly/Ensley Reign. Speaking of old products being on sale, how do you find specific indie brands (fantasy cosmetica, adept, and ensley reign are who I'm most curious about) hold up over time? I think you mentioned in a previous video how the fancy makeup like Pat McGrath last longer than most of the indie stuff. So yeah, how long do you keep them? What are they like when you decide the palette is worth decluttering?
Most of ER products are fairly new so I haven’t noticed the quality go bad….with indie products I realize it’s the ones that are creamier/ have a more mushy texture that don’t perform well over time….its like they dry up almost I tend to keep all the products I get in PR especially for comparisons but I will declutter things if they start to smell weird or if the brand discontinues the product I and I’m not using it
There is very little makeup that I'm actually interested in. I'm passing on every holiday drop, and I'm trying really hard not to buy backups. I picked up a few palettes from Nomad, I will get two palettes from Blend Bunny, and I want the Sweets mystery box from Glamlite. If I buy anything else for black Friday, it will be clothes and maybe purses and shoes (maybe). This incoming administration got me too nervous to spend much money.
@ Longing and the collab with Robert Welsh. I already have Blends (love it!) and I don’t do enough light looks for Sickly Sweet although I definitely thought about it.

I know actual shipping cost. Rephr ships from Canada free after$50. Why are the most expensive indy brand's charging the mist for shipping? If blend bunny, cosmic brushes, Rephr can give us quantity products @ affordable prices why cant the other indy brands follow suit??? Snd please don't get me started on influencer brands or colabs. For the most part as there are some that are honest, ethical,hard working & well deserving. Sorry i digress anyways 100% agree

Last year, Danessa offered 35% off up until Black Friday. On Black Friday, the sale increased to 40% off.
